State of the art
Metal 3D printing can be done in a variety of ways, using a variety of materials and technologies. Widely known technologies such as selective laser melting SLM (Selective laser melting) and electron beam melting EBM (Electron beam melting), these technologies use a high-energy source to produce parts. Printing occurs at high temperatures using specially prepared metal powder, the printing error is ±0.1 mm. Parts obtained by this method usually require post-processing.
There is also a technology for printing with a binder. The metal powder is bonded using a polymer binding agent, then printed using inkjet printing technology with a binder or FDM (Fused Deposition Modeling) with subsequent burning of the binder component in an oven, however, it is worth noting the low strength of the product compared to parts obtained using SLM or EBM technology , as well as an error of ±0.1 mm.
An analogue of the invention is the technical solution of the company "Fabric8Labs, Inc" patent US10465307B2 (priority 04/03/2016), including an array of anodes, a cathode, a positioning system, a hydraulic system and a communication system.
The described technical solution has a number of disadvantages: there is no possibility of printing with several metals, there is no cartridge system, no system for monitoring printing parameters and monitoring the composition of the solution and its updating to maintain a constant composition of the electrolyte, the device prints “from the bottom up”, which increases the likelihood of failure during printing. due to the effects of gravitational forces, thus preventing the ability to print massive parts and increasing the load on the printer mechanics), there is no system for removing excess gas formation during printing processes and thus increasing the likelihood of voids forming in the part.
Another analogue is the technical solution of the company “Microfabrica, Inc” under the patent US6027630A (priority 11/18/2016), however, this process does not have all the features of additive manufacturing, since the process is carried out using a mask and layer-by-layer planarization, and the process is not fully authorized.
The technical problem to be solved by the invention is the production of a three-dimensional metal part according to a digital model, using the method of layer-by-layer local electrodeposition.
The technical result is the ability to manufacture a part consisting of several metals, print a part of increased weight, control and improve printing parameters. The technical result is achieved by using a cartridge system for printing with several metals and monitoring electrolyte parameters. The addition of an ultrasonic generator on the cathode side leads to the collapse of gas bubbles at the surface of the printed part, generating a large number of nucleation centers, which leads to a decrease in the grain size of the growing deposit. A system for recording current and voltage from each anode will allow dynamic adjustment of local electrodeposition parameters during printing.
