Abstract
Description
The invention relates to electrical engineering and can be used in high-power commutator electric machines in various fields of the national economy, in particular in traction electric machines of railway rolling stock.
H01R 39/00 24.02.1986).The closest in technical essence and accepted by the authors as a prototype is a current collection device for an electric machine, made split in the longitudinal direction, and a lubricant with an electrically conductive filler in an amount of 2-15% of the volume is placed in its cut, the size of the filler particles is 0.1- 0.6 of the greatest height of the profile irregularities of the working surface of the collector (inventor’s certificate SU 1402150 A1 class H01R 39/00 02/24/1986).
The disadvantage of this current collection device for an electric machine is the insufficient reliability of current collection and service life.
The purpose of the proposed invention is to ensure the reliability and failure-free operation of the commutator-brush unit of a traction electric machine, increase its service life, and reduce the friction characteristics of the contact in a de-energized state.
This goal is achieved by the fact that the current-collecting element (Fig. 1) contains a brush, split in the longitudinal direction, having sliding contact with the commutator of the electric machine, while in the brush section there is placed an electrically conductive lubricant composition based on CIATIM-221, into which electrically conductive materials are added in the form molybdenum disulfide compound up to 1...5% volume; copper powder and graphite powder in a proportion of 5...20% of the volume of lubricant.
In fig. Figure 2 shows a general view of the current collection device.
The current collection device contains a brush 2, split in the longitudinal direction, installed in a brush holder 3 and in contact with the working surface of the rotating commutator 1. The loading device 4 with a force P presses the brush to the working surface of the commutator. In the cut of the brush 2 there is a lubricant 5, which during operation of the electric machine fills the space between the irregularities in the roughness profile of the working surface of the commutator. An electrically conductive powder filler is introduced into the lubricant 5 in an amount of 5-20% of the total volume.
The current collection device operates as follows.
When the split brush 2 is applied to the commutator 1 and the latter is brought into rotation, the lubricant 5 enters the friction zone. Particles of electrically conductive filler fall into the contact gap due to their small size and, due to their high volume content, form bridges of additional conductivity from the collector to the brush. This makes it possible, by creating a stable contact with a low contact resistance, to increase the current density in the contact, avoid fretting of the varnish (collector film), reduce sparking and avoid electrical erosion, and, as a result, increase the reliability of current collection.
The choice of volumetric concentration and filler particle size is determined by the following. The lower limit of particle concentration (from 5% of the lubricant volume) corresponds to the threshold value below which individual particles do not form through conduction channels in the lubricant volume due to contact and the formation of continuous chains of particles. The upper limit of particle concentration (up to 20% of the lubricant volume) corresponds to the critical value above which particles of the electrically conductive filler, entering the interlamella space of the current-carrying element of the commutator, cause a short circuit. In addition, filling the lubricant with particles exceeding 20% of its volume leads to a deterioration in lubricating properties due to thickening of the lubricant.
The use of a split brush 2, in the cut of which a lubricant 5 containing an electrically conductive filler is placed, allows, without additional devices, such as a device for pumping lubricant into the friction zone, to supply a lubricant composition to the contact surface, and the lubricant is supplied as the brush wears out. At the same time, wear particles of the brush in the composition with grease are not carried away from the contact zone, ensuring the formation of soft films that prevent scuffing and implement a positive gradient of mechanical properties, thereby ensuring high wear resistance and a low coefficient of friction. The introduction of a grease containing an electrically conductive filler in an amount from 5 to 20% of the lubricant volume into the friction zone forms through conductivity channels on the friction surface in the lubricant volume due to contact and the formation of continuous conductive chains of particles, which provides the possibility of a sharp increase in the conductivity through the contact current density. The electrically conductive film formed on the working surfaces simultaneously clads the irregularities, which helps to increase wear resistance and reduce the contact stress between the friction surfaces.
The proposed invention, in comparison with the prototype, has the following advantages: ensuring the reliability and trouble-free functioning of the commutator-brush assembly of an electric machine, increasing its service life, reducing the friction characteristics of the contact in a de-energized state, which ensures increased energy efficiency during operation.
