Abstract
Description
The invention relates to the field of powder metallurgy of nickel-based heat-resistant alloys using substandard waste and can be used in the manufacture of gas turbine engine parts with high mechanical characteristics. The purpose of the invention is to improve the mechanical properties of products.
There is a known method for producing heat-resistant nickel-based alloys [RF patent for invention No. 2470081], according to which charge materials containing waste heat-resistant nickel alloys are prepared, and their subsequent remelting in a vacuum. As waste of heat-resistant nickel alloys, foundry waste and shavings obtained from cutting rods of heat-resistant nickel alloys are used in an amount of 3...10% by weight of the charge materials. The chips are pre-washed in running tap water until the residual oil content on the surface of the chips is 3...5%, degreased in an ultrasonic bath with an aqueous solution of technical detergent, washed in an ultrasonic bath using running tap water, and then washed in non-flowing distilled water . Next, convection drying is carried out in mesh rotating drums and magnetic separation of chips.
The disadvantage of this method is the low quality of the alloy due to the introduction of shavings purified from technical impurities into the composition of the charge materials.
The closest to the proposed method is [RF patent for invention No. 1593042] a method for producing blanks from powders of heat-resistant nickel alloys, which includes pouring the powder into a mold, heating in a vacuum to the sintering temperature, and heating from 1100 o C to the sintering temperature is carried out at a speed of 5... 9 deg/min, sintering with holding at a temperature between the solidus and liquidus temperatures and cooling, characterized in that, in order to increase the mechanical properties, before filling the powder is treated with ammonium salts of complexons selected from the group triammonium salt diethylenetriaminepentaacetic acid, triammonium salt ethylenediaminetetraacetic acid, with a concentration of 0.4...0.6 mol/l at a temperature of 65...85 o C for 20...40 minutes, heating in the temperature range of 20...300 o C is carried out at a speed of 2...4 degrees/min, in the temperature range 300…1100 o C at a speed of 16…20 deg/min, and holding at the sintering temperature is carried out for 0.5…1 hour.
The disadvantage of this known method is the multi-operational process of producing the alloy, as well as the high energy costs for producing melts, as well as the relatively low quality of the alloy due to the relatively high final porosity and the low physical and mechanical properties of the alloy in connection with this.
The invention is based on the task of producing a heat-resistant nickel alloy with improved physical and mechanical properties and low cost.
The problem is solved by the fact that the mentioned alloy is obtained as a result of spark plasma sintering of nickel powders obtained by electroerosive dispersion of ZhS6U alloy waste in distilled water.
The process of electrical discharge dispersion (EDD) is the destruction of conductive material as a result of the local impact of short-term electrical discharges between electrodes.
By adjusting the electrical parameters of an installation for electroerosive dispersion (EDD), it is possible to obtain the required amount of powder of a given size and quality over certain periods of time. The powder materials produced by the electroerosion method have mainly spherical particle shapes.
The production of sintered products by spark plasma sintering under conditions of rapid heating and short operating cycle duration helps to improve the physical and mechanical properties compared to industrial alloys from which the initial powder particles were obtained, by suppressing grain growth and obtaining an equilibrium state with submicron and nanoscale grains. The use of the spark plasma sintering method to produce a heat-resistant nickel alloy from powder obtained by electroerosive dispersion of the ZhS6U alloy will ensure high performance of products due to the uniformity of the surface, favorable structure and low porosity of the product.
Figure 1 shows a diagram of the EED process, Figure 2 shows a block diagram of the stages of spark plasma sintering of heat-resistant nickel powders, Figure 3 shows the modes of spark plasma sintering, Figure 4 shows the microstructure of the sintered product, Figure 5 shows a spectrogram of the elemental composition of the sintered product, Figure 6 shows a diffraction pattern of the sintered sample.
Nickel powder was obtained in the following sequence.
At the first stage, waste heat-resistant nickel alloy was sorted, washed, dried, degreased and weighed. The reactor was filled with a working medium - distilled water, and waste was loaded into the reactor.
At the second stage - the stage of electrical erosion dispersion - the installation was turned on. The EED process is presented in Figure 1. First, electrodes 5 and 6 were assembled from dispersed alloy waste 8 . Next, granules of the dispersible alloy ZhS6U 8 were loaded into reactor 3 and the working fluid - water 10 - was poured. On the control panel of pulse generator 2 , the parameters required for the electrodispersion of metal waste were set: the capacity of the discharge capacitors and the pulse repetition rate. Then, using voltage regulator 1 , the voltage was set at which electrical breakdown of the working fluid 10 occurred in the interelectrode space. When a discharge channel was formed, pieces of hard alloy at the discharge point melted and evaporated. The working fluid 10 in the electric discharge channel also boiled and evaporated, forming a gas bubble 9. Drops of the molten and evaporating solid alloy entered the liquid working medium with the formation of spherical and elliptical particles 7 , as well as agglomerates. Shaker 4 moved one of the electrodes and ensured continuous flow of the electrodispersion process. At the third stage, the working fluid with nickel powder is unloaded from the reactor. At the fourth stage, the solution is evaporated, dried, weighed, filled, and packaged.
Then the resulting powder was subjected to spark plasma sintering in the SPS 25-10 “Thermal Technology” system (USA). Temperature values of 1200...1400°C were chosen as the temperature for compacting the resulting powders. The sample in the form of a powder was placed in a graphite mold, previously lined with graphite paper, then the mold was installed in a spark plasma sintering unit and the vacuum was pumped out to a level of 2.0 * 10 -3 Torr. The workpiece was heated to 200°C at a rate of 100°/min, and the sample was kept at 200°C for 2 minutes for degassing. Then the sample was pressed at a pressure of 30...50 MPa with simultaneous heating to a temperature of 1200...1400 °C at a speed of 100°/min and kept at this temperature and pressure for 5...15 minutes. Next, it was cooled to room temperature at a rate of 30°/min. After complete cooling, the load was removed from the sample and removed from the mold.
In this case, the following technical result is achieved: a sintered heat-resistant nickel alloy with improved physical and mechanical properties without a significant increase in the cost of their production.

Pb.X-ray spectral microanalysis of the alloys was carried out on an energy-dispersive X-ray analyzer from EDAX (Netherlands), built into a QUANTA 200 3D scanning electron microscope (Netherlands). Based on the analysis of spectrograms of the elemental composition, it was established that the alloy consists of the following elements uniformly distributed throughout the volume: O, Ni, Mo, W, Cr, Ti, Fe, Co, Nb, Al and Pb.
Al0,9Ni4,22.Phase analysis of the alloy was performed on a Rigaku Ultima IV X-ray diffractometer (Japan). Analysis of diffraction patterns of the phase composition of the alloys under study showed the presence of the following phases in them: WO 3 , NiO and Al 0.9 Ni 4.22 .
The studies have shown that spark plasma sintering of nickel powders obtained by electroerosive dispersion of ZhS6U alloy waste in distilled water makes it possible to obtain a heat-resistant alloy with a uniform distribution of alloying elements.
To obtain nickel powder, we used waste hard alloy grade ZhS6U, which was crushed by electroerosive dispersion in distilled water in an installation (Pat. 2449859 Russian Federation, MPK S22F 9/14, S23N 1/02, B82Y 40/00. Installation for producing nanodispersed powders from conductive materials [Text] / Ageev E.V. et al.; applicant and patent holder of the South-West State University - No. 2010104316/02; application 02/08/2010; publ. 05/10/2012, Bull. No. 13). When dispersing ZhS6U waste, the following installation parameters were used: voltage at the electrodes 190...210 V; capacitor capacity 55...60 µF; pulse repetition frequency 180…200 Hz. As a result of the local impact of short-term electrical discharges between the electrodes, the destruction of the hard alloy waste occurred with the formation of particles of tungsten-titanium-cobalt powder.
Sintering of tungsten-titanium-cobalt powder was carried out in the SPS 25-10 “Thermal Technology” system (USA) at temperature T = 1400°C, pressure P = 50 MPa and holding time t = 15 min.
Under these conditions, there were cavities and pores on the surface of the carbide workpiece.
