Abstract
Description
д.The invention relates to heat and mass transfer devices used as evaporators of liquids containing several components with different boiling temperatures (heat and mass transfer device - evaporator), as well as to condensers of liquids from gas and vapor mixtures, also containing several components with different condensation temperatures. The design of a heat and mass exchange apparatus can be effectively used for partial evaporation (evaporation of more volatile components from a mixture) or partial condensation (condensation of higher boiling components from a mixture), for example, in desalination plants, as evaporators in mass transfer processes - distillation, rectification, desorption, extraction etc. for partial evaporation and heat supply to the lower part of the mass transfer apparatus. The design of the heat and mass exchange apparatus can also be effectively used in the condensation and separation of commercial products, for example, in the production of ammonia, methanol, synthetic liquid hydrocarbons, etc.
To maintain optimal temperatures along the height of the mass transfer apparatus, while providing optimal conditions for separating the liquid into fractions, as well as to ensure maximum evaporation of more volatile components from the bottom part of the apparatus, the required amount of heat of the required parameters is supplied to the lower part of the mass transfer apparatus by installing an evaporator.
The most widely used in industry are evaporators that are remote or built into mass transfer devices in the form of tubular-type heat exchangers, as well as evaporators in the form of remote plate heat exchangers.
Tubular type evaporators are used horizontally with a vapor space and vertical.
A horizontal evaporator is a cylindrical body, in the lower part of which there is a horizontal bundle of pipes into which the coolant is supplied. The evaporating liquid enters from below, its level in the apparatus is maintained by a vertical partition, while the vapor space is at least 1/3 of the diameter of the apparatus body, and the liquid must have a sufficient mirror to separate the resulting vapors. The unevaporated liquid is poured through the partition and pumped out of the apparatus. Industrial devices, as a rule, are large in size - diameter up to 2.8 m and pipe length up to 6 m, occupy significant production areas, require installation of auxiliary equipment and maintenance during operation.
2002).A vertical tube-type evaporator is usually a shell-and-tube heat exchanger with fixed tube sheets and a temperature compensator on the housing. The evaporated liquid enters the tube space from below, and exits from above in a vapor-liquid state and is directed into the column. The coolant is supplied to the inter-tube space of the heat exchanger. Industrial devices of this type have a diameter of up to 2.2 m and a pipe length of up to 6 m (Vadimirov A.I., Shchelkunov V.A., Kruglov S.A. Basic processes and apparatus for oil and gas processing. - M. pp. 64-68. Nedra-Business Center LLC, 2002).
Experience in operating evaporators in the form of plate heat exchangers has shown the need for frequent cleaning of heat exchange surfaces, caused by the uneven distribution of evaporated liquid over these surfaces, the presence of stagnant zones and, as a consequence, clogging of heat exchange surfaces with oily or solid deposits.
Depending on the required heating temperature of the evaporated liquid, hot water, water steam, high-temperature organic coolants, an aqueous solution of triethylene glycol, etc. are used as a coolant.
The disadvantages of the known traditionally used evaporator designs are:
- ограниченная площадь поверхности подвода теплоты даже при больших габаритных размерах аппаратов;- limited surface area for heat supply even with large overall dimensions of the devices;
- неравномерное распределение потоков испаряемой жидкости и теплоносителя по теплообменным поверхностям;- uneven distribution of flows of evaporated liquid and coolant over heat exchange surfaces;
- наличие застойных зон, приводящих к отложению и забивке теплообменных поверхностей и необходимости периодической их очистки;- the presence of stagnant zones leading to deposits and clogging of heat exchange surfaces and the need for periodic cleaning;
- в массообменный аппарат после испарителей вместе с паром подается смесь пара и жидкости, что не всегда приемлемо;- a mixture of steam and liquid is supplied to the mass transfer apparatus after the evaporators along with steam, which is not always acceptable;
- большие габаритные размеры испарителей трубчатого типа.- large overall dimensions of tubular type evaporators.
Tubular and plate type capacitors are widely used in industry. To intensify the heat exchange process in tubular condensers, finned tubes are usually used. During operation, the fins of the pipes become clogged with contaminants and require periodic cleaning. The designs of traditionally used tubular and plate condensers have stagnant zones both in the cavity of the condensed medium and in the cavity of the refrigerant. During their operation, contaminants are deposited and the heat exchange surfaces become clogged, which also necessitates periodic cleaning.
Traditionally used condenser designs, as a rule, are bulky and do not ensure uniform distribution of the condensed medium and refrigerant over the heat exchange surface, which reduces their efficiency.
The closest analogue in terms of the technical essence of the invention and the achieved effect is a radial-spiral type heat exchanger according to the patent “DEVICE FOR CARRYING OUT HEAT EXCHANGE AND DIFFUSION PROCESSES” RU No. 2075020 dated May 30, 1995 (F28D 7/04, F28D 9/00), containing a cylindrical body with pipes for the inlet and outlet of two heat exchange media, blocks of heat exchange elements vertically installed inside the body in series one after the other.
The heat exchange surfaces of the blocks are formed from heat exchange elements, which are smooth or corrugated spiral walls welded in pairs along the contour, forming an internal spiral-shaped slot channel (internal cavity). The heat exchange elements are installed in such a way that an external spiral-shaped slot channel (external cavity) is formed between them. The spiral-shaped heat exchange elements fit tightly to each other, forming a block of heat exchange elements. Blocks of heat exchange elements are installed on top of each other, thereby forming the necessary heat exchange surface.
The internal spiral cavities of the heat exchange elements communicate with the inlet and outlet manifolds of one flow of the heat exchange medium, the outer spiral cavities of the heat exchange elements communicate with the inlet and outlet manifolds of the other flow of the medium.
The disadvantage of this apparatus for use as an evaporator or condenser is that during partial evaporation, the gas-liquid medium does not separate into gas and liquid phases; as a result, the heat exchange surface does not operate efficiently and with increased hydraulic resistance.
The objective of the present invention is to increase the efficiency of the apparatus by ensuring uniform distribution of evaporated liquid or condensed steam and coolant over the heat exchange surfaces and eliminating stagnant zones, as well as increasing the efficiency of the apparatus through more efficient use of the thermal energy of the coolant.
The objective of the invention is also to eliminate or significantly reduce deposits on heat transfer surfaces during processes of liquid evaporation or steam condensation, as well as to eliminate the need for periodic cleaning of heat transfer surfaces.
The objective of the invention is also to separate the flows of liquid and gas phases in the apparatus with their separate output from the apparatus.
The objective of the invention is also to reduce the weight and size characteristics of the apparatus.
To solve the problems, a design of a heat and mass transfer apparatus is proposed, which includes a cylindrical body of the apparatus with upper and lower bottoms, in which one or several radial-spiral heat exchange blocks are installed vertically along its longitudinal axis. In this case, each heat exchange block is formed from elements that are corrugated or flat spiral-shaped walls welded in pairs at the upper and lower ends, and the elements are welded together at the side ends and are adjacent to each other, forming internal spiral-shaped slot channels for the passage of one medium in a radial spiral direction, and external spiral-shaped slot channels for the passage of another medium in the axial direction along the axis of the apparatus. The slot channels form internal and external cavities isolated from each other, with the internal cavity for passage in the radial-spiral direction of one medium, and the outer cavity for passage in the axial direction along the axis of the apparatus of another medium. In the internal cylindrical space of the heat exchange blocks, concentrically with the axis of the apparatus, a pipe with an annular partition is installed, hermetically fixed to the body of the apparatus.
When using the apparatus as an evaporator, the annular partition is located below the heat exchange blocks, and the lower end of the pipe is hermetically connected to the partition, and the upper end of the pipe is located above the upper end of the upper heat exchange unit. In this case, the evaporated medium is supplied to the apparatus between the lower heat exchange block and the annular partition. During operation of the apparatus, the liquid level is maintained at the upper end of the pipe. The unevaporated liquid is poured through the pipe into the lower part of the apparatus and removed from it. The gas or vapor phase, if necessary, passes through a droplet separator and is removed from the upper part of the apparatus.
When using the device as a condenser, the annular partition is located above the heat exchange blocks, and the upper end of the pipe is hermetically connected to the partition, and the lower end of the pipe is located below the lower end of the lower heat exchange unit. In this case, the condensed medium is supplied to the apparatus between the upper heat exchange block and the annular partition. In the lower part of the apparatus, the liquid and gas phases are separated, the liquid phase is removed from the apparatus, and the gas phase enters through a pipe into the upper part of the apparatus, where, if necessary, a droplet separator passes through and is removed from the apparatus.
High efficiency of the heat and mass exchange apparatus for carrying out the processes of evaporation or condensation of liquid is achieved due to the uniform distribution of the evaporated or condensed medium, as well as the coolant or refrigerant over the heat exchange surfaces of radial-spiral type heat exchange blocks, as well as due to the absence of stagnant zones of heat exchange media in the design of heat exchange blocks . Separation of flows of the vapor or gas phase and non-evaporated liquid when using the apparatus as an evaporator, or flows of liquid and vapor-gas phase when using the apparatus as a condenser is ensured by installing a pipe in the structure of the apparatus, installed concentrically along the axis of the apparatus.
The uniform distribution of heat transfer media and the absence of stagnant zones eliminate the formation of deposits on heat transfer surfaces.
The uniform distribution of heat transfer media ensures intense heat transfer over the entire heat transfer surface and, as a result, increases the efficiency of using the thermal energy of the coolant or refrigerant, and also reduces the required heat transfer surface area and the weight and size characteristics of the device.
