Abstract
Description
The invention relates to the field of space technology, namely to the shell of a manned spacecraft, designed to protect the crew from space factors.
Gossamer Spasecraft: Membrane and Inflatable Structures Technology for Space Applications // Reston, Virginia: American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics, Inc. ISBN 1-56347-403-4. 2001. C. 527-529, 534-535». Known technical solution for the transformable space module TransHab, developed by NASA, described in the article "Inflatable Habitats" (authors: Kriss J. Kennedy, Jasen Raboin, Gary Spexarth, Gerard Valle, NASA Johnson Space Center, Houston, Texas), published in the publication " Paul Zarchan. Gossamer Spasecraft: Membrane and Inflatable Structures Technology for Space Applications // Reston, Virginia: American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics, Inc. ISBN 1-56347-403-4. 2001. C. 527-529, 534-535. The above envelope of the transformable space module consists of several groups of layers of materials that perform different functions. The shell includes screen-vacuum thermal insulation (EVTI) with protection from atomic oxygen, anti-meteoroid protection in the form of protective anti-meteoroid screens with inter-screen separators, a reinforcing layer, a sealing layer, a layer that protects against damage from the inside.
Protection against micrometeoroids and technogenic particles is provided using five spaced screens made of fabric layers of Nextel material (Nextel) 1.5 mm thick, which are separated by foam spacers.
The main disadvantages of this design are the large thicknesses of the anti-meteoroid protection and the multilayer transformable hermetic shell (MTGO), and, as a result, the impossibility of compressing them to a minimum size when laying in the payload area.
Known multilayer transformable sealed shell (MGTO) [RF Patent. No. 2014114599 for the invention,
The disadvantages of this MTGO are the additional mass of the shell due to the reinforcing layer, the relatively large efforts for compression and the lower compressibility of the shell for laying in the payload area under the spacecraft fairing.
When creating large spacecraft (SC), the issue of minimizing the mass of the structure and its dimensions at the launch stage is acute. A significant proportion of the mass of the spacecraft structure is its outer shell, so there is a need to search for other technical solutions for such spacecraft. One of these ways is to replace the outer shell of the device with a lightweight flexible shell. A flexible shell differs from a rigid metal shell by the content of various layers of flexible (film and fabric) materials, each of which performs its own functions.
Also, a flexible inflatable shell should solve the following tasks:
- обеспечение защиты экипажа от микрометеороидов и космического мусора;- ensuring crew protection from micrometeoroids and space debris;
- уменьшение воздействия ионизирующего излучения космического пространства;- reducing the impact of ionizing radiation from outer space;
- обеспечение необходимой прочности оболочки как конструкции (по силовым нагрузкам на оболочку);- ensuring the necessary strength of the shell as a structure (in terms of power loads on the shell);
- обеспечение герметичности внутреннего объема пилотируемого КА;- ensuring the tightness of the internal volume of the manned spacecraft;
- увеличение полезного герметичного объема КА нового поколения, создавая при этом более удобное и комфортное помещение для космонавтов долговременного пребывания;- an increase in the useful hermetic volume of a new generation spacecraft, while creating a more convenient and comfortable room for long-term cosmonauts;
- уменьшение массогабаритных характеристик конструкции обитаемых модулей в стартовом положении для обеспечения возможности их выведения существующими и перспективными ракетами-носителями, так как пространство зоны полезного груза под обтекателем ограничено.- reducing the weight and size characteristics of the structure of habitable modules in the launch position to ensure the possibility of their launch by existing and future launch vehicles, since the space of the payload zone under the fairing is limited.
The objectives of the invention are to reduce the relative mass of the shell structure, increase the internal volume of the spacecraft module and improve reliability.
The set goals are achieved by the fact that in the proposed shell that protects the crew from external factors, containing layers of
The use in the design of cylinders makes it possible to reduce the mass of the shell, the volume in the folded state, and to maintain the shape of the entire shell in case of deformation or damage to one of the cylinders. Such a solution will make it possible to create not only initially closed forms of a flexible shell with a sealed internal volume, but also forms with an open internal volume, which will make it possible to assemble more complex structures in it, or to use such a shell as part of a more complex complex structure assembled in orbit. For these purposes, the proposed flexible shell is equipped with flexible (film-cable) structures (fasteners) 9, which make it possible to connect this flexible shell with rigid structural elements of the assembled module of the manned spacecraft, while ensuring the protection of the shell from mechanical loads planned during the further operation of the manned spacecraft.
After entering the target orbit, the shell packaging is unpacked (packing elements are removed) at the assembly station. Then air is supplied to the
In FIG. 1 shows a sectional view of a multilayer inflatable flexible shell in the working position.
Shell composition:
1 - экранно-вакуумная теплоизоляция (ЭВТИ);1 - screen-vacuum thermal insulation (EVTI);
2 - шарнирно-замковые устройства (а - наружного слоя, b, с - среднего слоя, d - внутреннего слоя), которые обеспечивают подвижность пластин микрометеороидной защиты (ММЗ) при переводе их из сложенного в расправленное состояние и правильную фиксацию пластин ММЗ в развернутом состоянии, представляют собой малоразмерные механизмы, закрепленные с определенным шагом на краях полужестких пластин и внутренних вертикальных перегородок ММЗ;2 - hinge-lock devices (a - outer layer, b, c - middle layer, d - inner layer), which ensure the mobility of the micrometeoroid protection (MMZ) plates when they are transferred from the folded to the expanded state and the correct fixation of the MMZ plates in the expanded state , are small-sized mechanisms fixed with a certain step on the edges of semi-rigid plates and internal vertical partitions of the MMZ;
3 - полужесткие пластины противометеороидных экранов (а - наружного слоя, b - среднего слоя, с - внутреннего слоя);3 - semi-rigid plates of anti-meteoroid screens (a - outer layer, b - middle layer, c - inner layer);
4 - пленки для скольжения (а - наружного слоя, b - внутреннего слоя) - тонкий гибкий материал-прослойка между слоями основных функциональных материалов, обеспечивающий минимальное трение между поверхностями основных материалов при развертывании конструкции гибкой оболочки;4 - films for sliding (a - outer layer, b - inner layer) - a thin flexible material-layer between the layers of the main functional materials, providing minimal friction between the surfaces of the main materials when deploying the flexible shell structure;
5 - надувные баллоны (из гибкой пленки) (а - наружного слоя, b - внутреннего слоя), обеспечивающие развертывание (подъем и распрямление) всех частей (деталей) гибкой оболочки, самопроизвольное распрямление всей конструкции гибкой оболочки из упакованного в рабочее состояние, принятие формы и типоразмеров всей конструкции гибкой оболочки близким к требуемым, формирование межэкранного разделителя в конструкции ММЗ;5 - inflatable balloons (made of flexible film) (a - outer layer, b - inner layer), providing deployment (lifting and straightening) of all parts (details) of the flexible shell, spontaneous straightening of the entire structure of the flexible shell from packed to working condition, taking shape and standard sizes of the entire structure of the flexible shell close to the required ones, the formation of an interscreen separator in the MMZ design;
6 - прочная «формирующая» пленка (а - наружного слоя, b - внутреннего слоя), которая крепится к средней линии полужестких пластин ММЗ; позволяет им «более плотно, со сдвигом и поворотом относительно друг друга» укладываться в «упаковке» гибкой оболочки; но при распрямлении (переводе в рабочее состояние) гибкой оболочки (за счет своей прочности) не позволяет полужестким пластинам ММЗ «разъехаться» в произвольные положения, а выставляться именно в правильные положения;6 - strong "forming" film (a - outer layer, b - inner layer), which is attached to the middle line of semi-rigid MMZ plates; allows them to be "more tightly, with shift and rotation relative to each other" fit into the "package" of the flexible shell; but when straightening (transferring to a working state) the flexible shell (due to its strength) does not allow the semi-rigid plates of the MMZ to “part” to arbitrary positions, but to be set exactly to the correct positions;
7 - внутренние вертикальные перегородки ММЗ (а - наружного слоя, b - внутреннего слоя), обеспечивающие формирование «правильных форм и габаритов» межэкранного пространства ММЗ, также участвуют в выполнении основных защитных функций ММЗ (особенно - при попадании микро-метеоритов под углом к плоскости основных пластин ММЗ), уменьшает поражение надувных баллончиков в соседних пустотных камерах при попадании микро-метеорита. Выполняются из того же материала, что и основные полужесткие пластины ММЗ, но имеют меньшую толщину;7 - internal vertical partitions of the MMZ (a - outer layer, b - inner layer), providing the formation of "correct shapes and dimensions" of the MMZ interscreen space, also participate in the performance of the main protective functions of the MMZ (especially when micro-meteorites hit at an angle to the plane the main plates of the MMZ), reduces the damage to inflatable balloons in adjacent hollow chambers when a micro-meteorite hits. They are made of the same material as the main semi-rigid MMZ plates, but have a smaller thickness;
8 - внутренние герметизирующие пленки;8 - internal sealing films;
9 - flexible (film-cable) structures that make it possible to connect this flexible shell with rigid structural elements of the assembled module of the manned spacecraft.
On FIG. 2 and FIG. 3 shows sections of the flexible shell in the expanded state (with inflated gas cylinders) and in the deflated state. The deflated shell has a significantly smaller thickness (in Fig. 2 and Fig. 3, the thicknesses of the inflated and deflated shell are indicated, respectively, by the nominal dimensions s and t). At the same time, in this design, a significant reduction in the thickness of the shell can be obtained: s:t reaches a ratio from 1:2 to 1:3. In addition, the deflated shell has additional flexibility (compared to the "inflated" shell), which allows it to be placed in sufficiently dense packages in which the flexible shells must be transported into space, followed by pressurized deployment of gas cylinders and the integration of this flexible shell into the design of large-sized KA modules.
Advantages of this flexible envelope design in comparison with other proposals for flexible envelopes for spacecraft:
- значительно уменьшенные габариты гибкой оболочки в транспортировочной (упакованной) форме (при сравнимых габаритах конструкций оболочки в развернутом состоянии);- significantly reduced dimensions of the flexible shell in the transport (packed) form (with comparable dimensions of the shell structures in the unfolded state);
- большая надежность развертывания гибкой оболочки из сжатого состояния в рабочее;- greater reliability of the deployment of a flexible shell from a compressed state to a working one;
- гораздо меньшее количество газа, необходимого для развертывания оболочки;- a much smaller amount of gas required for the deployment of the shell;
- возможность развертывания «открытой» оболочки, внутрь которой можно затем устанавливать (собирать) жесткие элементы конструкции модуля КА с монтажом внутренних приборов и оборудования;- the possibility of deploying an "open" shell, inside which you can then install (assemble) rigid elements of the spacecraft module structure with the installation of internal instruments and equipment;
- позволяет создавать крупногабаритные конструкции модулей КА с большой степенью интеграции конструкций гибкой оболочки и жесткого внутреннего каркаса, разнесенного к внутренним границам оболочки.- allows you to create large-sized structures of spacecraft modules with a high degree of integration of the structures of the flexible shell and the rigid inner frame, spaced to the inner boundaries of the shell.
