The electrolyte contains CrCl 3 - 1 mol/l, Na 2 MoO 4 - 0.04 mol/l, Na 2 H 2 PO 2 - 0.1 mol/l, water:dimethylformamide 1:1 by volume. The electrolysis is carried out in the cell without separation of the cathode and anode spaces, at a cathode current density of 20 A/DM 2 at a temperature of 30°C, the deposition rate of 47 μm/h, the current efficiency of 24%. The composition of the resulting coating includes: chromium - 60%, molybdenum - 1.8%, phosphorus - 9.4%, carbon - 2.7%, oxygen - 23.3%. The thickness of the deposited coatings is 2.5 µm. Figure 1 shows a comparison of the polarization curves in semi-logarithmic coordinates, where along the ordinate axis the potential in mV measured relative to a standard hydrogen reference electrode, along the abscissa axis is the logarithm of the current density in mA/cm 2 for the chromium-phosphorus-molybdenum alloy (b) and for pure chromium (a). It is shown that the values of corrosion currents for the alloy are lower by 1.5-2 orders of magnitude than for pure chromium. This can be seen from the extrapolation of the Tafel portions of the Evans diagrams. Figure 2 shows the X-ray diffraction pattern of the chromium coating, where the abscissa is the diffraction angle in degrees, the ordinate is the number of detector pulses. The coating is finely crystalline. The average interatomic distance is 0.204–0.205 nm, which corresponds to strong chromium (110) lines. Chrome-phosphorus-molybdenum alloy coating is an amorphous coating with a small amount of molybdenum.

The electrolyte contains CrCl 3 - 1.2 mol/l, Na 2 MoO 4 - 0.045 mol/l, Na 2 H 2 PO 2 - 0.13 mol/l, water:dimethylformamide 1:1 by volume. The electrolysis is carried out in the cell without separation of the cathode and anode spaces, at a cathode current density of 55 A/DM 2 at a temperature of 33°C, the deposition rate of 135 μm/h, the current efficiency of 32%. The composition of the resulting coating includes: chromium - 71%, molybdenum - 2.3%, phosphorus - 9.3%, carbon - 2.1%, oxygen - 15.7%). The thickness of the deposited coatings is 16.3 µm. Figure 1 shows a comparison of the polarization curves in semi-log coordinates where on the y-axis the potential in mV, measured relative to a standard hydrogen reference electrode, on the abscissa is the logarithm of the current density in mA/cm 2 for the chromium-phosphorus-molybdenum alloy (b) and for pure chromium (a).
