Description
The field of technology to which the invention belongs
The present invention relates to the field of adhesive compositions made on the basis of phenol-formaldehyde resins, intended for gluing structures for various purposes, and can be used in glued layered structures and honeycomb products of aviation technology.
State of the art
Adhesives, binders and sealants are widely used in the aviation industry. Adhesive compositions are intended for the manufacture of honeycomb and layered load-bearing structures made of metals and polymer composite materials. Adhesive joints must have high long-term strength and resistance to numerous operational factors. A variety of properties of adhesives makes it possible, when developing a new product, from the entire range of adhesive materials to choose those that fully meet the various technical requirements for adhesive joints.
A method for the production of an adhesive composition is known, in which the strength of adhesive paper joints is improved by adding nanoparticles based on silicon oxide with a size of 1-44 nm (US7501468, publ. 10.03.2009). It has been noted that in order to improve cohesive strength and stiffness, the way in which the components of the adhesive composition are mixed is critical to achieving optimum properties. To prevent delamination (sedimentation) of the components of the adhesive composition, it is proposed to use high shear mixing and/or ultrasound.
10.12.2013).A method for preparing an adhesive composition is known, which consists in dispersing nanoparticles in an epoxy resin, followed by exposure to a mixture of nanoparticles with a liquid resin of ultrasonic vibrations, while the mixture is affected by several short pulses of ultrasonic vibrations with a total duration not exceeding 100 s, or the mixture is affected by one pulse the same duration with temperature measurement during exposure and with cooling of the mixture (RU2500706, publ. 10.12.2013).
Closest to the claimed is a method for producing an adhesive composition, characterized in that it is obtained by mixing the first three-component part with the second three-component part, while the first three-component part is obtained by mixing the phenol-formaldehyde resin solution and the hexaresorcinol resin solution successively added to the rubber mixture solution, moreover, the second three-component part is obtained by dispersing sulfur powder and particles of aluminum oxyhydroxide nanopowder in butyl acetate, while the number of particles of aluminum oxyhydroxide nanopowder in weight ratio to the mass of the adhesive composition is selected from the range from 0.1 to 1.0% (RU2625849). In this case, the aluminum oxyhydroxide nanopowder particles have a size selected from the range from 0.5 to 3.0 μm. The mixing of the components of the first part, as well as the dispersion of the components of the second part, is carried out using ultrasound. In addition, the viscosity of the adhesive composition is controlled by changing the proportion of butyl acetate, which makes it possible to obtain an adhesive with an optimal (adjustable) ratio of the technological properties of the adhesive and the operational properties of the adhesive joint.
However, a common disadvantage of all known methods for the manufacture of adhesive compositions is that the compositions are prepared by mixing in a certain sequence in a certain way to obtain uniformity. From this moment, the process of limited survivability of the adhesive began, i.e. the composition of the adhesive composition must be immediately applied to the surfaces to be glued, otherwise it will polymerize after some time. The disadvantage of the known method of applying the adhesive composition - the gravure printing method, is that with this method the volume of the adhesive is not regulated and changes during the operation of the equipment due to the loss of the light fraction in the bath and an increase in the viscosity of the adhesive. This directly affects the dimensional accuracy of the bonding area due to the subsequent flattening of the transferred adhesive volume during the pressure polymerization process. For example, when gluing sheets of foil to obtain a honeycomb core, two of the 6 sides of the cell are adhesive joints and their inaccurate or uncontrolled size during the production process affects the geometric accuracy of the cell, which in turn is the main factor (the correct shape of the hexagon) to obtain maximum physical - mechanical properties of honeycomb filler.
The technical problem solved by the claimed invention is the need to overcome the shortcomings inherent in the known methods.
Disclosure of invention
д. The invention is based on the task of developing a method for homogeneous mixing of the components of the adhesive composition, as well as a method with increased accuracy of application to any sheet material for gluing, for example, textolite, galvanized sheet, bronze, aluminum, steel, etc.
The technical result is the development of a method for applying with increased accuracy to the surfaces to be glued, while reducing the compositional heterogeneity of the system.
The technical result is achieved by mixing the components of the adhesive composition, which consists in preparing the following solutions separately: a solution of hexaresorcinol resin resin in ethyl alcohol with a concentration of 10.95 g / l ± 3%, a solution of FL-5111 varnish in ethyl alcohol with a concentration of 41, 38 g/l ± 3%, product-4 in butyl acetate with a concentration of 153.94 g/l ± 3% and a solution of sulfur in butyl acetate with a concentration of 0.22 g/l ± 3%, the resulting solutions are mixed by jet subtractive mixing directly into moment of application to the surface to be bonded. In this case, the prepared solutions have the following viscosity values: the average viscosity at a temperature of 25 ° C is about 3.0 mm 2 / s, at 10 ° C - 4.5 mm 2 / s, at 35 - 2.2 mm 2 / s, as a percentage relative to the viscosity at 25°C +50% and -27%, respectively. Dispersion of sulfur powder in butyl acetate is carried out using an ultrasonic disperser with a power of at least 50 W and a dispersion duration of at least 5 minutes.
To prepare a sulfur solution, it is pre-treated in two ways:
- пятиводный тиосульфат натрия растворяют в деионизованной воде с температурой от 4°С до 50°С, затем в полученный раствор добавляют концентрированную соляную кислоту, далее продукт реакции подвергают фильтрации и высушиванию. Для приготовления раствора серы используют от 1 до 12 мг тиосульфата натрия на 1 мл H2O, концентрированную соляную кислоту добавляют из расчета от 0,01 мл до 0,06 мл на один мл воды;- sodium thiosulfate pentahydrate is dissolved in deionized water with a temperature of 4°C to 50°C, then concentrated hydrochloric acid is added to the resulting solution, then the reaction product is filtered and dried. To prepare a sulfur solution, from 1 to 12 mg of sodium thiosulfate per 1 ml of H 2 O is used, concentrated hydrochloric acid is added at the rate of 0.01 ml to 0.06 ml per ml of water;
- пятиводный тиосульфат натрия растворяют в толуоле из расчета, что массовое содержание серы в толуоле составляет от 0,5 до 2,5%, далее раствор выпаривают при температуре не менее 50°С, полученный осадок собирают и измельчают.- sodium thiosulfate pentahydrate is dissolved in toluene on the basis that the mass content of sulfur in toluene is from 0.5 to 2.5%, then the solution is evaporated at a temperature of at least 50°C, the resulting precipitate is collected and crushed.

To do this, carbon fibers are dispersed in butyl acetate using an ultrasonic disperser with a power of at least 60 W and a dispersion duration of at least 5 minutes.
To test the implementation of the invention, a multicomponent adhesive VK-25 was taken, used for gluing foil sheets in the manufacture of honeycomb core.
Liquid adhesive VK-25 must meet the technical requirements:
1. Внешний вид: вязкая однородная жидкость от зеленовато-коричневого до синего цвета;1. Appearance: viscous homogeneous liquid from greenish-brown to blue;
2. Вязкость клея по вискозиметру ВЗ-1, при температуре 15-35°С 40-60 сек (для получения требуемой вязкости в клей ввести бутилацетат в количестве около 20-30 г на 100 г клея и смесь тщательно перемешать);2. The viscosity of the adhesive according to the VZ-1 viscometer, at a temperature of 15-35 ° C 40-60 seconds (to obtain the required viscosity, add butyl acetate to the adhesive in an amount of about 20-30 g per 100 g of adhesive and mix the mixture thoroughly);
3. Pot life: no more than 6 hours at a temperature of 15 to 35°C, no more than 24 hours when stored in a refrigerator.
Glue VK-25 - phenol-rubber composition with the addition of GR resin (a product of polycondensation of resorcinol with urotropin) consists of the following components:
ч.1. With a two-component supply of product 4 - product 4 73.8 17/C; ground sulfur 0.11; butyl acetate 5.0; lacquer FL-5111 21.0 60/C1; resin GR 5.2 60/C2, where C; C1; C2 - concentrations in percentage of the corresponding components, determined during the input control; the name of the component is followed by the amount of substance and wt.h.
To implement the proposed method, a solution of GR resin is prepared in 95-98% ethyl alcohol (C2 is the concentration of GR resin in ethyl alcohol). The solution must be thoroughly mixed and homogeneous. Lacquer FL-5111 is diluted with ethyl alcohol. Separately prepare solutions of product-4 and sulfur in butyl acetate. At the same time, the dispersion of sulfur powder in butyl acetate is carried out using an ultrasonic disperser with a power of at least 50 W and a dispersion duration of at least 5 minutes.
Sulfur for the preparation of the adhesive composition is pre-treated in two ways:
Sodium thiosulfate pentahydrate (Na 2 S 2 O 3 5H 2 O) dissolves in deionized water (H 2 O). The concentration of the solution can vary from 1 to 12 mg Na 2 S 2 O 3 per 1 ml H 2 O.
The water temperature in the process of adding Na 2 S 2 O 3 ·5H 2 O is maintained in the range from 4°C to 50°C. Next, in the resulting aqueous solution of Na 2 S 2 O 3 under continuous mechanical stirring add concentrated HCl. The volume of HCl can vary from 0.01 ml to 0.06 ml per ml of water. The resulting mixture is left under constant stirring for at least 10 minutes. Mixing speed not less than 500 rpm.
Next, the reaction product is filtered and dried. As an example of a filtration technique, centrifugation of the reaction product followed by dilution with water at least 6 times at a centrifuge speed of at least 9000 rpm and a centrifugation time of at least 20 minutes can be used. After filtration, the resulting precipitate is collected and dried at a temperature of at least 60°C for at least 12 hours.
H2O. Analysis of the morphology of sulfur particles after preparation shows that the particle size is significantly affected by the temperature of H 2 O. Table 1 shows the sizes of sulfur particles synthesized at different temperatures of H 2 O.

In FIG. 1 shows examples of micrographs of sulfur particles synthesized at different water temperatures.
2. Crystalline sulfur dissolves in toluene at a temperature of at least 50°C. The mass content of sulfur in toluene can vary in the range from 0.5 to 2.5%. Next, the solution is evaporated at a temperature of at least 50°C. After evaporation, the yellow precipitate formed by the recrystallized sulfur is collected and subjected to a mechanical grinding procedure by any method known in the art to obtain particles of the desired size.
After grinding in order to separate the granulometric fractions, the sulfur powder can be passed through a sieve with a mesh size of not more than 2 microns.
Preparation of a large (more than 1 kg) amount of VK-25 glue should be carried out in enameled or stainless steel apparatus equipped with agitators with a blade speed of at least 30-40 rpm. Preparation of small amounts of liquid adhesive should be carried out in metal or polyethylene containers, mixing the components manually. If the adhesive is stored in a refrigerator, before applying it, bring the temperature of the adhesive to 15-35°C.
In the claimed method, the components are located in the printer separately and are mixed in the process of applying to the product by the type of inkjet color printing. Epson WorkForce WF-3620 was used for application in 4-color non-contact CISS.
Required values of the viscosity of the components for the inkjet printing process (mixing): The average viscosity at a temperature of 25°C is about 3.0 mm 2 /s, at 10°C - 4.5 mm 2 /s, at 35 - 2.2 mm 2 /s, as a percentage relative to the viscosity at 25°C +50% and -27%, respectively.
Для раздельного нанесения компоненты до нужной вязкости разводят теми же растворителями, что в них присутствуют (по паспортам):For separate application, the components are diluted to the desired viscosity with the same solvents that are present in them (according to passports):
- Смолу ГР-с и лак ФЛ-5111 этиловым спиртом;- Resin GR-s and lacquer FL-5111 with ethyl alcohol;
- Продукт-4 бутилацетатом;- Product-4 butyl acetate;
Sulfur with butyl acetate.
Using the rules for calculating the concentration of solutions, you get:
17/8,15 =153,94 Product 4: N1 = 73.8 x 17/8.15 = 153.94
To implement the proposed method, it is necessary to modify the components to the desired viscosity and dispersion in order to meet the requirements of inkjet printing, and also to exclude the process of sedimentation (precipitation, separation of solutions), because all adhesive components are in solvents and can settle in cartridges when the equipment is not working. To prevent sedimentation, it is necessary to maintain the viscosity of the obtained solutions. In the case of sulfur, a method was developed for its preliminary preparation in order to obtain a stable colloidal solution. The solution remains stable in the non-printing state for at least 60 days.
The particle size limits of the components must be less than the typical droplet size of inkjet printers - 12 picolitres, the droplet size of the Epson Stylus Color 850 was 10 picoliters (1 picoliter = 10 to the minus 12 power of a liter).
е. общее количество клея (https://pixlr.com/ru/x/).The supply and volume of components during application is controlled programmatically (by using any graphic editor where you can turn on the four-component CMYK color model) by setting the required number of dots (drops) of each component per unit area, depending on the concentration of solids in the solution and the passport values of the component fraction in the adhesive composition (similar to the formation of colors in inkjet printing). For example, the Pixlr X graphics editor allows you to change the temperature of the components and saturation, i.e. total amount of glue (https://pixlr.com/ru/x/).
Дополнительные два компонента могут быть использованы для нанесения на склеиваемые поверхности специальных меток, используемых для устройств с техническим зрением (роботов-манипуляторов, например).For application, including industrial application, inkjet printers with four or six color components can be used. An additional two components can be used to apply special marks to the glued surfaces used for devices with technical vision (robotic manipulators, for example).
The quality of mixing is achieved by the fact that when printing with a screening resolution of 200 by 200 dots per square centimeter, the print head of the inkjet printer will deliver 40,000 dots of known volume per 1 cm 2 . This is guaranteed uniform mixing of the adhesive components during application.
Positioning accuracy is determined by the accuracy of the inkjet printer, which is +/- 5 microns. This is many times more accurate than when applying glue using the roll-to-roll gravure printing method.
Tests were carried out to determine the ultimate strength of the adhesive joint during delamination according to OST 1 90153-74 at t = 20 °C.
0,5»Equipment used: testing machine "2055 R-0.5"
Loading speed: v = 25 mm/min
2.The results are presented in Table 2.
Table 2. Results of determining the ultimate strength of the adhesive joint during delamination
With a known method of mixing and application, this figure is usually 0.7 kgf/cm (OST requirements for aluminum honeycomb core). Thus, the results obtained prove the effectiveness of the proposed method in terms of the quality of the mixing of the components. Also, the claimed method eliminates problems with the survivability of the adhesive, tk. components are permanently in their original state with an unlimited lifetime.
