Abstract
Description
The invention relates to the field of ice engineering, in particular to submarines destroying the ice cover when they surface in solid ice.
Known technical solution (1. RU 2651321 C1,), in which the ice cover is proposed to be destroyed by a submarine by attaching it to the ice with an anchor and a cable. The ballast tanks available on the ship are filled with seawater, thereby creating a negative buoyancy force. A heating element is installed under the ice cover on the anchor cable. As a result of its activation under the ice at the place where the anchor is installed, an area of water with an increased temperature will appear, i.e. with its lower density. The deflections of the ice cover will increase, which will increase the bending stresses in the ice, and, hence, the thickness of the ice being destroyed, with a constant negative buoyancy force.
The disadvantage of this solution is its low efficiency due to the high heat capacity of water and a slight change in its density when heated.
The essence of the invention lies in the development of a method to increase the deflections of the ice.
The technical result obtained during the implementation of the invention consists in increasing its efficiency, i.e. increasing the thickness of the destroyed ice.
Essential features that characterize the invention.
Restrictive: a method of breaking the ice cover by a submarine by attaching it to the ice using an anchor and a rope, followed by filling the ballast tanks with seawater.
Distinctive: the vessel, with the help of thrusters pre-installed at its ends, is provided with rotation around its vertical main central axis of inertia, and at the same time the horizontal rudders of the vessel are periodically shifted to negative and positive angles of attack for a time equal to half the period of resonant flexural-gravitational waves, while the cable attached to the vessel at a point located on the axis of its rotation, and a swivel is provided in the cable itself.
Д.Е. It is known (2. D.E. Kheisin. Ice cover dynamics. - L .: Gidrometeoizdat. 1967 - 218 s) that the application of a periodic alternating load to the ice cover with a period equal to the period of resonant IGW significantly increases its deformations in comparison with such the same intensity load, but applied stationary. This is explained by the fact that with such a load, resonant IGWs appear in the ice cover, i.e. waves with the greatest amplitude.
The invention is carried out as follows.
In the middle of the ship, a container is made, in which an anchor with a cable is laid in a folded state. If there is a need to ascend, the vessel floats to a safe depth and stops. Then from the container in the vertical direction is fired, for example, with the help of a powder charge, the anchor in the folded state. For breaking through ice, i.e. to create a hole in the ice, for example, a shaped charge jet installed in the head of the anchor can be used. After the anchor comes out from under the ice, its legs are automatically opened (like an opening umbrella), and it is attached to the ice. Then ballast tanks are filled with seawater. The vessel will acquire negative buoyancy and will begin to pull the anchor line, thus creating a vertical load on the ice. If the ice cover does not break when the ballast tanks are fully filled under the anchor, the thrusters are turned on. The vessel will begin to rotate around its vertical main central axis of inertia, which will ensure its stable rotation (the axis of rotation will not deviate from the vertical, i.e., the energy consumption for rotation will be minimal, and the vertical component of the cable tension force will be maximal). The parameters of the thrusters providing such a mode are determined in advance by conducting appropriate experiments or calculations. Rotation is carried out with the maximum possible angular velocity, i.e. with full use of the power of the thrusters. The swivel provided in the cable will eliminate its twisting, while the cable is attached to the vessel at a point located on the axis of its rotation, which will also help to ensure the stability of the rotation of the vessel (preventing the cable from deviating from the vertical position). The centrifugal forces of inertia inevitably arising in this case due to the water masses carried away by the hull in the rotational motion of the water masses will cause the appearance under the ice of an area of low pressure with a maximum vacuum on the axis of rotation of the vessel, under the installed anchor. If this does not cause the destruction of the ice cover, then the horizontal rudders of the vessel are periodically shifted to negative and positive angles of attack for a time equal to half the period of the resonant IGW. As a result, an alternating periodic vertical force will begin to act on the vessel, changing with the frequency of the resonant IGW, the value of which can be determined from the dependences of [2]. This will lead to the excitation of resonant IGWs in the ice cover, i.e. to an additional periodic increase in the rope tension and a corresponding increase in bending stresses in the ice cover, i.e. achieving the declared technical result.
