Abstract
Description
The invention relates to chemical technology for the separation and utilization of ammonia nitrogen from wastewater and can be used in enterprises of the chemical, petrochemical, metallurgical, coke and chemical industries, and in municipal and agricultural facilities.
A known method of wastewater treatment from ammonium ions (patent RU No. 2169403, IPC C17G21F 9/08, 2001), which includes the evaporation of wastewater in alkaline mode, cooling the secondary steam and cleaning it on the filters. Before purification of ammonia condensate on ion-exchange filters, it is evaporated with simultaneous treatment with nitrites. As a result of the interaction of ammonium ion and nitrite ion, nitrogen and water are formed at the boiling point. The disadvantages of this method of water purification are the high energy intensity and costs associated with the concentration of water by evaporation, the inability to utilize ammonia nitrogen as a useful product.
A known method of treating wastewater from ammonium ions (patent RU No. 2253626, IPC C02F 1/76. Publ. 10.06.2005, bull. No. 16.), including adjusting the pH of the wastewater with a reagent, followed by treatment of the wastewater with an oxidizing agent in an equivalent amount or with an excess of 5% of the amount of ammonium ions, and the pH value of the wastewater is maintained no more than 5, and as an oxidizing agent, clarified solutions of gas treatment plants formed during the purification of chlorine-containing gas by lime milk are used. The disadvantage of this method is the inability to utilize ammonia nitrogen as a useful product, because when treating wastewater with solutions formed during the purification of chlorine-containing gas with lime milk, ammonia nitrogen is destroyed and not utilized.
There is also known a method of treating wastewater from ammonium ions (CN 103848540 (A), IPC C02F 1/52. 2014-06-11 Technology for the extraction of ammonia nitrogen from wastewater in the form of struvite). The method consists of the following steps: adding a source of magnesium ions and a source of phosphorus ions to the wastewater, controlling a certain pH value, forming struvite in the reactor after the reaction and separating struvite from the liquid, supplying wastewater to the anaerobic tank for further processing and selling the unloaded struvite as fertilizers with an adjustable dissolution rate, where the source of magnesium ions and phosphorus ions, respectively, are magnesium chloride and sodium phosphate; the optimal molar ratio of Mg to N to P is 1.2: 1: 0.8; the initial concentration of ammonia nitrogen is 210-1260 mg / l; pH of wastewater is controlled in the range of 8-9; a solution for adjusting pH with a concentration of up to 2-6 mol / l is a solution of sodium hydroxide. The disadvantages of the method are the use for wastewater inaccessible and expensive sodium phosphate.
There is also a known method for treating wastewater from ammonium ions (Method for treating wastewater from ammonium ions, Application for invention of the Russian Federation: 2003137270/15, 12.24.2003, publication date 10.06.2005), including adding a solution containing phosphate ions to wastewater and a solution containing magnesium ions, precipitation of magnesium-ammonium phosphate with stirring in an alkaline medium, separation of the precipitated magnesium-ammonium phosphate from water and removal of purified water, characterized in that the precipitation is carried out with solutions of sodium hydrogen phosphate and magnesium chloride. In this case, the solution containing sodium hydrogen phosphate is first added to the wastewater, and then the magnesium chloride solution is added, the reagents are added to the wastewater with an excess of 5% of ammonium stoichiometry, and the reagent solutions have the following concentrations of wt. %: Na 2 HPO 4 - 8.0 ... 10.0; MgCl 2 - 25.0 ... 35.0. Moreover, the deposition process is carried out for at least 6 minutes The disadvantages of the method are the use for wastewater inaccessible and expensive sodium phosphate.
Na2HPO4.These disadvantages are eliminated by the fact that in the method of purification of wastewater from ammonium ions, which includes adding solutions containing phosphate ions and magnesium ions to wastewater, precipitating magnesium-ammonium phosphate with stirring in an alkaline medium, separating precipitated magnesium-ammonium phosphate from water and the removal of purified water, before precipitation of magnesium-ammonium phosphate, a solution of soda ash prepared from crystalline soda and waste water is introduced into a solution of phosphoric acid, the resulting carbon dioxide is blown off with air, then half The decarbonated solution is introduced into the wastewater, a solution containing magnesium ions and a solution of sodium hydroxide is added to them. In this case, soda ash is introduced into a solution of phosphoric acid in a molar ratio of 2Na: HPO 4 , which is necessary for the formation of sodium hydrogen phosphate Na 2 HPO 4 with phosphoric acid.
Introduction before precipitation of magnesium-ammonium phosphate in a solution of phosphoric acid a solution of soda ash prepared from crystalline soda and wastewater in a molar ratio of 2Na: HPO4, necessary for the formation of sodium hydrogen phosphate Na 2 HPO 4 with phosphoric acid, allows to obtain a sodium hydrogen phosphate solution, which, after blowing carbon dioxide from it with air, is an inexpensive and effective precipitator of ammonium ions (together with solutions containing magnesium ions).
Проведение отдувки воздухом углекислого газа из раствора гидрофосфата натрия позволяет повысить величину рН раствора и снизить расход гидроксида натрия, вводимого в сточные воды для регулирования оптимального значения рН (до уровня 8-9).Carrying out air blowing of carbon dioxide from a solution of sodium hydrogen phosphate allows you to increase the pH of the solution and reduce the consumption of sodium hydroxide introduced into wastewater to adjust the optimal pH value (to a level of 8-9).
The achieved effect of the method is to reduce the cost of obtaining the precipitant struvite - sodium hydrogen phosphate and increase the pH of the reaction medium by blowing off carbon dioxide, which reduces the consumption of sodium hydroxide at the stage of deposition of magnesium-ammonium phosphate.
An example implementation of the method.
Na2HPO4.The wastewater treatment method was carried out as follows. In the first stage, a phosphate-containing reagent was prepared for the chemical precipitation of ammonium ions from wastewater in a laboratory reactor. For this, 44.53 g of industrial phosphoric acid (concentration of 73% density of 1520 g / l) was mixed with 35.52 g of industrial crystalline soda ash containing 99% Na 2 CO 3 . At the same time, the resulting solution of Na 2 HPO 4 was diluted with 80 ml of waste water and purged with air to remove the released carbon dioxide. The heating of the solution accelerated the process of carbon dioxide stripping. The pH of the solution increased from 5.0 to 7.0. The indicated amount of phosphoric acid and soda ash corresponded to a molar ratio of 2Na: HPO 4 necessary for the formation of sodium hydrogen phosphate Na 2 HPO 4 .
In the second stage, wastewater (1000 g of the following composition,% wt: (NH 4 ) 2 SO 4 - 2.19; Na 2 SO 4 - 3.79; NaNO 3 - 2.21; H 2 O - the rest) was fed into the solution prepared in the first stage Na 2 HPO 4 , a solution of MgCl 2 (105.4 g of a 30% solution) and a 50% solution of NaOH (to maintain an alkaline environment at pH = 9.0). To obtain magnesium ammonium phosphate MgNH 4 PO 4 * 6H 2 O, the reagents were fed in a molar ratio of Mg: NH 4 : PO 4 . The process of chemical deposition of magnesium-ammonium phosphate was carried out for 20 minutes at a temperature of 20 ° C and stirring with a mechanical stirrer. Next, the obtained precipitate of magnesium-ammonium phosphate was sedimented, decanted, washed with wastewater at a liquid / solid ratio of 3/1, the precipitate was centrifuged to a residual moisture content of 10% and dried at a temperature of 120 ° C. Received 77.31 g of six-water magnesium-ammonium phosphate, which contained nitrogen-5.70%, phosphorus -12.63% or in terms of P 2 O 5 - 28.93%, magnesium - 9.90%, and can be used as a NPMg-fertilizer of prolonged action. The residual content of ammonium ions in the wastewater was 0.10%. Thus, the degree of wastewater purification from ammonium ions amounted to more than 95%, and a commercial product in the form of NPMg fertilizer was obtained.
Due to the use of affordable and less expensive reagents (phosphoric acid and soda ash), the costs of obtaining and transporting a solution of sodium hydrogen phosphate were reduced, and due to the blowing of carbon dioxide from a phosphate-containing reagent, the pH value was increased from 5.0 to 7.0 sodium hydrogen phosphate solution and, accordingly, the sodium hydroxide consumption reduced to adjust the pH to 9.0 at the stage of deposition of magnesium-ammonium phosphate is reduced.
