Abstract
Description
The invention relates to electrical engineering, in particular to the technology of manufacturing precision foil resistors, and can be used in the manufacture of resistors for widespread use.
In the design of the foil resistor, along with the thermal conductivity of the substrate, such a parameter as the coefficient of thermal expansion of the ceramic material plays an important role.
Величина отношения - 2,308.In accordance with the theory of foil resistors, two physical processes take place. With increasing temperature, the resistance of the foil, which is in a free state, increases due to its thermal expansion due to the so-called tensoresistive effect. If the foil is rigidly connected to the substrate and if the coefficient of thermal expansion of the foil is greater than that of the substrate, then with increasing temperature the compressive force acts on the foil. Due to this effect, it is possible to reduce the growth of the foil resistance with increasing temperature, or to reduce the TCS. This effect was discovered by the founder of VISHAY Felix Zaydman. By choosing the ratio of the TCR of the foil and the substrate, it is possible to obtain a TCS close to zero. VISHAY's resistors use a 13: 6 ratio. The ratio is 2.167. TCR foil - 13 . 10 -6 / о С, TCR of ceramics - 6 . 10 -6 / о С. Domestic foil resistors use foils with TKR - 12 . 10 -6 / о С and glass substrates. For example, in domestic use a foil resistor R2-67 pyroceram ST-50-1 (TCR -. 5.2 10 -6 / ° C) and foils of nickel alloy NM23HYU (TCR -. October 12 -6 / ° C). The ratio is 2.308.
During thermal expansion or contraction, when the plastic of the body is glued to the resistive foil, the latter is destroyed. This is due to the fact that solid polymers have a large TCR.
VISHAY's foil resistors externally have a classical structure (see, for example: https://www.compel.ru/lib/ne/2011/6/3-desyat-prichin-vyibrat-folgovyie-rezistoryi-vishay-dlya- vashego-proekta), in FIG. Figure 1 shows the appearance of a SMR1D resistor, but no data was found on the internal structure of such a resistor other than the classic one.
As a prototype, a Wilbreht electronics resistor depicted in FIG. 2. This resistor includes:

The known resistor contains a covering hydroprotective layer, but there is no evaluation or indication of the function of such a layer as a thermal compensation gasket.
The objective of the invention was to increase the reliability of the resistor. EFFECT: increased stability of resistance during long-term operation and thermal cycles.
This problem is solved by a foil resistor, which includes a dielectric substrate, a resistive foil glued onto it, electrical leads, a plastic case and a buffer layer between the foil and the inner surface of the case, in which, according to the proposal, high-conductivity ceramics are used as the substrate material, and the buffer layer made in the form of an air gap, or in the form of a layer of elastic sealant. Hereinafter, high-conductivity ceramics means ceramics with a thermal conductivity of 6 W / (m · K) and higher.
When mounting a resistor chip on a board, heat removal from the resistive layer occurs mainly due to thermal conductivity, since the conductors of the printed circuit board are a good heat sink. The thermal conductivity of the substrate determines the integral temperature of the resistive film and determines the overheating (thermal resistance) of the resistive layer relative to the conductor of the printed circuit board. In FIG. Figure 3 shows the calculated dependence of the temperature of the superheat of the resistive film of the chip with a power of P nom = 0.125 W on the thermal conductivity of the ceramic substrate materials.
In the design of a modern miniature chip resistor, the use of ceramic is impossible due to their low thermal conductivity (1.5 W / (m · K)). At ambient temperature, 70 ° C temperature of the resistive layer is more than 160 ° C (see. FIG. 3), which adversely affect the life of the resistor.
Based on the foregoing, the most optimal option can be considered the use of a Polikor type ceramic resistor in a foil chip (99.9% Al 2 O 3 , thermal conductivity 28-30 W / (m · K), TCR - 5.7 . 10 -6 / o C). Used foil with TCR - (12-14) . 10 -6 / о С. The value of the ratio is 2.107 - 2.456. The temperature of the resistive layer in operating mode will not exceed 90 ° C.
12.In FIG. 4 shows a schematic representation of a foil chip resistor in a plastic case. The resistor is a
In FIG. 5 shows the results of tests on the effects of cyclic temperature changes of the three embodiments depicted in FIG. 6 (“A” - no layer 16 (the
The best results are shown by air gap resistors (option “B” in FIG. 6). Options “B” and “C” passed the test. Option "A" with continuous filling without a buffer layer (the simplest, from the point of view of manufacturing, could not pass the test).
