Abstract
Description
6.1].The invention relates to passive radiolocation monitoring systems for monitoring objects using a scanning radiometer [1, 2] with two antennas that receive signals in two frequency ranges. One antenna has a wide beam pattern (BOTTOM), and the second antenna has a narrow beam. The presence of two antennas with different DNDs is determined by the need to study the radiating properties of objects in different frequency ranges associated with the width of the DND [1, p. 291, tab. 6.1].
[3].When scanning antennas in azimuth, data is acquired with a certain sampling step, which determines the number of elements in the row of generated radiometric image matrices (hereinafter, image matrices). The transition to another line is usually made by changing the elevation angle by an amount greater than the sampling step in azimuth. This achieves an increase in the speed of formation of image matrices in two channels of primary processing of the received signals. Two matrices are obtained with line gaps (thinned along the lines), and have the same dimensions, but differ in spatial resolution, depending on the width of the bottom. Missing lines are filled in by interpolation [3].
[3].The spatial resolution of the first matrix (hereinafter referred to as the resolution) obtained for a wide DND is several times worse than the resolution of the second matrix obtained for a narrow DND due to differences in the width of the DND. There is a need to increase the resolution of the first matrix obtained for a wide DND to the resolution of the second matrix obtained for a narrow DND, while maintaining the temperature characteristics of the frequency range of the first. You can increase the resolution using the image recovery method, for example [3].
Consider as a prototype a method of restoring images of objects from a sparse (thinned) matrix of radiometric observations [3]. The method consists in line-by-line scanning of the radiometer antenna in azimuth and elevation with a certain step and forming an image matrix, followed by processing the resulting matrix in the frequency domain. The method is characterized in that the missing lines are filled by linear interpolation of the corresponding elements of adjacent observed lines, then the resulting expanded matrix is subjected to the action of the image reconstruction operator in the spatial frequency domain (Wiener filter) and a matrix of the reconstructed image of the objects is obtained.
This method in its application to a radiometer with two antennas has the following disadvantage. When restoring an image in the first matrix obtained for a wide BOTTOM, the resolution increases several times. However, the resolution in the second matrix obtained for a narrow BOTTOM is increased by the same number of times due to similar image restoration operations. As a result, it is not possible to increase the resolution in the first matrix to the resolution of the second matrix.
The technical result is aimed at eliminating this drawback, namely, increasing the resolution in the first matrix obtained for a wide DND to the resolution of the second matrix obtained for a narrow DND, while maintaining the temperature characteristics of the frequency range.
The technical result of the proposed technical solution is achieved by using the method of imaging objects in a radiometer with two antennas, which consists in line-by-line scanning in azimuth and elevation of the first antenna of the radiometer with a wide BOTTOM, receiving signals in the first frequency range and forming the first image matrix with line gaps, filling missing lines using interpolation and restoring the image in the matrix using the Wiener filter. The method is characterized in that a second antenna with a narrow BOTTOM is used, which scans simultaneously with the first antenna and receives signals in the second frequency range, forms a second image matrix with gaps in the lines, the rows of the matrix that were missed during scanning are filled in by interpolation, the matrix is subjected to restoration operations using a filter Wiener, then, using segmentation operations, the second matrix is divided into disjoint segments of uniform temperature in temperature, for each segment of the second matrix, set Resp this segment of the first matrix elements are calculated average temperature of the elements and assign it to all the corresponding elements of the first matrix, thereby obtaining a first matrix with a high spatial resolution equal to the resolution of the second matrix, while maintaining the temperature characteristics of the first frequency band.
Algorithmically, the method is as follows.
В результате формируется матрица радиометрического изображения Y1={y1(i,j)} с элементами y1(i,j), где i и j - номер строки и столбца матрицы, M и N - количество ее строк и столбцов.1. The first antenna of the radiometer with a circular DND width Δ 0.5 at the level of 0.5 power (for example, Δ 0.5 = 3 0 ) scans the viewing area in azimuth and elevation. As a result, a radiometric image matrix is formed Y 1 = {y 1 (i, j)} with elements y 1 (i, j), where i and j are the number of the row and column of the matrix, M and N are the number of its rows and columns.
Y1.2. At the same time, the second antenna of the radiometer with a bottom width of Δ 0.5 / m (for example, m = 3) scans the same viewing area, as a result of which a second image matrix Y 2 = {y 2 (i, j)} is formed, with increased m times resolution in azimuth and elevation in comparison with Y 1 .
3. The rows of matrices Y 1 and Y 2 that were missed when scanning the antennas are filled in by the interpolation method (linear, biquadratic, or bicubic) by processing the elements of adjacent observed rows.
4. The resulting matrices Y 1 and Y 2 undergo a two-dimensional Fourier transform and spectral matrices are obtained and
5. Elements of matrices and multiplied by the transfer function Wiener filter [4] and the spectral matrix of estimates is obtained and
6. Matrices and undergo the inverse Fourier transform: and get the matrices X 1 = {x 1 (i, j)}, X 2 = {x 2 (i, j)}, reconstructed image of objects in the spatial domain.
X1.7. The matrix X 2 is divided into K disjoint homogeneous in amplitude subdomains D 1 , D 2 , ..., D K using the segmentation operator [4]. As a result, we obtain the matrix S = {S (i, j)}, where S (i, j) is the number of the segment to which the i-th, j-th element of the matrix X 2 belongs and the corresponding i-th, j-th element of the matrix X 1 .
For each s-th segment, the average radiometric amplitude is calculated based on ix, jx elements x 1 (i, j) of matrix X 1 with label s:
i,j:S(i,j)=s, i, j: S (i, j) = s,
где ns - количество элементов с меткой s.where n s is the number of elements labeled s.
5. All elements x 1 (i, j) of the matrix X 1 with label s are assigned the amplitude As a result, the matrix X 1 = {x 1 (i, j)} is formed, with a spatial resolution increased by a factor of m 2 (in area), whose element amplitudes x 1 (i, j) represent the temperature characteristics of the frequency range of the first antenna.
X2.The results of the experiment. The full-scale experiment was carried out using a radiometer with two antennas: the first antenna with a wide bottom angle of 3 ° received signals in the 8 mm wavelength range when observing objects on the ground at a distance of 30 m with a scan step at an elevation angle of 1 °, the second antenna with a narrow BOTTOM at 1 ° received signals in the 3 mm range with the same scanning step in elevation. Missed lines were restored using linear interpolation. The figure 1 shows a video image of the observed area with three objects in the form of shields. In figure 3, from left to right is the image of the observation matrix Y 1 corresponding to the 8 mm range, and the image of the matrix X 1 restored after processing the matrix Y 1 by the Wiener filter. Figure 2 - image of the matrix X 1 after performing the operations of the proposed method on the matrices X 1 and X 2 .
