Abstract
Description
The invention relates to liquid rocket engines operating on the first and second stages of the launch vehicle.
The use of nozzles with a constant degree of expansion at the first stages of rockets leads to loss of thrust: at the Earth (up to 20%) - due to over-expansion of combustion products, at altitude - due to under-expansion.
Among the known methods to improve the efficiency of the LRE along the path include:
- вдув генераторного газа в сверхзвуковую часть сопла;- blowing the generator gas into the supersonic part of the nozzle;
- выдвижение щитков в сверхзвуковую часть сопла;- the extension of the shields in the supersonic part of the nozzle;
- регулирование степени расширения за счет изменения площади критического сечения;- regulation of the degree of expansion by changing the area of the critical section;
- изменение степени расширения за счет выдвижных насадков.- change in the degree of expansion due to retractable nozzles.
All these methods have significant drawbacks, as they do not allow to increase the specific thrust momentum along the entire trajectory and increase the mass and dimensions of the engine.
Известна конструкция ЖРД с удаляемой вставкой, выбранная за прототип, описана в заявке по авторскому свидетельству №315198.A known design of rocket engine with removable insert, selected for the prototype, is described in the application for copyright certificate No. 315198.
The disadvantage of this design is the large mass of the insert discharge mechanism, which must be removed when leaving the dense atmosphere. Moreover, the removal of the insert requires the alienation of a large area of the land in the area of its fall. In addition, this design implements step-by-step regulation of thrust, does not provide smooth regulation along the entire flight path and, therefore, does not allow to obtain a significant gain in specific impulse of thrust along the entire flight path.
The present invention eliminates these disadvantages of the prototype and solves the technical problem of increasing the efficiency and reliability of the LRE along the entire flight path of the rocket.
The stated technical problem is solved in that the chamber of a liquid-propellant rocket engine with an adjustable nozzle, comprising a cooled part of the nozzle and an uncooled nozzle made of carbon-carbon composite material, steering units and a frame, according to the invention, niches are made in an uncooled nozzle in which several sections of a split earth nozzle are located having shafts of rotation located tangentially in the area of the junction of the uncooled nozzle with the cooled part of the nozzle, mounted in brackets secured to the azhdaemoy nozzle portion and connected to steering assemblies to the engine frame.
1, 2, 3.The essence of the invention is illustrated by the circuits shown in FIG. 1, 2, 3.
6.In FIG. 1 shows a chamber containing the cooled part of the nozzle 1, uncooled nozzles from UUKM 2,
In FIG. 2 shows a fragment of the chamber with the location of the sections of the
In FIG. 3 shows a fragment of the chamber with the location of the sections of the
The camera operates as follows.
Before starting the engine from the niches of the
When the engine is operating in dense atmospheric layers, the combustion products enter the earth’s nozzle and, as a result, the calculated flow regime is organized.
As the rocket leaves the dense layers of the atmosphere, the sections of the
Thus, during the flight of the rocket along the entire trajectory, from the dense layers of the atmosphere to the discharged, an practically calculated operating mode is realized in the engine.
The proposed technical solution allows to increase the reliability and efficiency of the LRE throughout the flight path by 5-7%, and also to eliminate the alienation of a large area of the land.
