Abstract
Description
The invention relates to methods for chemical-thermal treatment of structural and tool steels and can be used for surface hardening of machine parts and tools in machine-building, metallurgical, chemical, tool and other industries.
И. 212-213).Known methods of hardening die steels by cyanidation. Cyanidation is carried out in molten salts - liquid cyanidation, in gaseous media - gas cyanidation or nitrocarburization in solid mixtures. Solid cyanidation is carried out in a mixture consisting of 60-70% charcoal and 30-40% yellow blood salt, the intense dissociation of which proceeds in the solid state at 540-560 ° C. (Stamp steels / Poznyak L.A., Skrynechenko Yu.M., Tishaev S.I. - M .: Metallurgy, 1980, p. 212-213).
The disadvantage of this method is that the saturation of the surfaces of the hardened parts occurs unevenly, due to the uneven distribution of the yellow blood salt powder between relatively large particles of charcoal.
A known method of nitrocarburizing parts from die steels (patent No. 2501884, IPC C23C 8/76). The method includes the preparation of a paste by mixing potassium iron-K 4 Fe (CN) 6 , carbon black DG-100 and nitrocellulose varnish NTs 222 in the following ratio, wt. %: iron-sulphide potassium K 4 Fe (CN) 6 - 20-30; nitrocellulose lacquer NTs 222 - 15-20; the rest is DG-100 gas soot, paste application and subsequent nitrocarburizing at a temperature of 680 ° C for 3 hours. Then the samples are cooled in oil and subjected to low tempering at a temperature of 200 ° C for 2 hours. This method is taken as a prototype.
The disadvantages of this method are that with this method the lower temperature of nitrocarburizing is limited. At a temperature of 550-560 ° C, the rate of nitrocarburizing is low.
An object of the invention is to increase the rate of nitrocarburizing, expanding the temperature range, increasing environmental safety.
The technical result is achieved by the fact that in the known method of nitrocarburizing parts, including the preparation of a paste by mixing iron-hydrogen potassium K 4 Fe (CN) 6 , carbon black DG-100, nitrocellulose varnish NTs 222, applying the paste to the product, heating with exposure, cooling in oil and low tempering, according to the invention, when preparing a paste, carbamide (NH 2 ) 2 CO is additionally introduced into it, in the following ratio of components, wt. %: iron-hydrogen potassium K 4 Fe (CN) 6 - 20-30, urea (NH 2 ) 2 CO - 15-20, nitrocellulose lacquer NTs 222 - 15-30; DG-100 gas soot - the rest, nitrocarburizing is carried out at a temperature of 450-850 ° C for 1-3 hours, then the samples are cooled in oil and subjected to low tempering at a temperature of 150-180 ° C for 1-2 hours.
Nitrocarburizing steel using such a coating provides high speed and uniformity of saturation of the surface layers with nitrogen and carbon.
The absence of toxic components and low volatility does not lead to unacceptable air pollution and does not require special ventilation.
The content in the paste of urea (NH 2 ) 2 CO in an amount of 15-20 wt. %, is optimal, since urea provides the formation of nitrogen at low temperatures of hardening treatment, at a temperature of about 200 ° C it decomposes with the release of gaseous ammonia and isocyanic acid by reaction
Isocyanic acid (NHCO) does not decompose at low temperature and does not take part in further reactions, and ammonia dissociates with the formation of active nitrogen atoms, which are adsorbed on the steel surface
The degree of dissociation of ammonia, i.e. nitrogen saturation activity depends on the process temperature. At 450 ° C-650 ° C, the degree of dissociation of ammonia is 20-40%, which is quite enough to saturate the steel surface with a large amount of nitrogen.
The content in the nitrogen-carbon paste of iron-potassium in an amount of 16-20 wt. % is optimal, because at a temperature of 650 ° C, iron-hydrogen potassium dissociates with the formation of active nitrogen and carbon atoms
Active nitrogen and carbon atoms are adsorbed on the surface of the steel, and potassium cyanide released during the decomposition of potassium iron-hydrogen sulfide dissociates upon further heating to form the active CN group, which also participates in the saturation of the steel with nitrogen and carbon.
It should be noted that potassium iron-sulphide, although it is cyanide, is not toxic in the solid state. The toxic effect of this substance is manifested only when it is melted, however, no free melt is formed in the paste, and the toxic properties of iron-hydrogen-potassium potassium do not appear, therefore, special precautions are not required when using it in combination with amorphous carbon.
% является оптимальным, так как лак начинает разлагаться при еще более низкой температуре ~200°C:The content in the coating nitrocellulose lacquer NTs 222 in the amount of 15-30 wt. % is optimal, since the varnish begins to decompose at an even lower temperature of ~ 200 ° C:
In this case, more active nitrogen is formed than with the decomposition of potassium iron-hydrogen sulfide. The formation of the carbonitride layer begins already at a temperature of 200 ° C, the thickness of the carbonitride crust on the surface of the steel increases, the microhardness, impact strength of the stamp increases.
The content of DG-100 gas soot in the paste in a given quantity is optimal, since the soot decay allows the saturating element to be actively absorbed by steel, which ensures a high rate of carbon saturation with a minimum cyanizer consumption, and a crust with cementite grains is formed in the surface layer, which increases the impact strength details.
The method is as follows.
The components in dry form are thoroughly mixed and diluted with varnish NTs-222 in the following ratio, wt. %: iron-hydrogen potassium K 4 Fe (CN) 6 - 20-30, urea (NH 2 ) 2 CO - 15-20, nitrocellulose lacquer NTs 222 - 15-30, gas soot DG-100 the rest, until pasty state. The paste thus prepared is applied to the nitro-cemented surfaces of the parts with a layer of 0.5-2.0 mm and dried at t = 75-85 ° C for 0.5-1 hours until a hard coating is formed.
Prepared samples with a dry coating on the surface of the parts are packed in a sealed container with a filler in the form of cast-iron shavings and nitrocarburizing is carried out at various temperatures - from 450 to 850 ° C. The duration of nitrocarburization in all cases was 1-3 hours, then the samples were cooled in oil and low-temperature tempering was carried out at a temperature of 150-200 ° C for 1-2 hours.
The essence of the method is illustrated by an example.
As hardened parts used samples (10 × 10 × 60 mm) of steel 5XHM, pre-cleaned with white alcohol. The paste was applied to the samples with a layer of 0.5-2.0 mm and subjected to drying at t = 75-85 ° C for 0.5-1 hours to form a hard coating. Then the samples were packed in a sealed container with a filler in the form of cast-iron shavings and nitrocarburizing was carried out at various temperatures - from 450 to 850 ° C. The duration of nitrocarburization in all cases was 1-3 hours, then the samples were cooled in oil and low-temperature tempering was carried out at a temperature of 150-200 ° C for 1-2 hours.
Поочередная, по мере повышения температуры, активизация азотсодержащих и углеродосодержащих компонентов, присутствующих в предлагаемой среде, позволит варьировать насыщение стали, начиная от практически чистого азотирования (при температуре 500-580°C) до азотонауглероживания (при температурах 600-700°C) и до чистой цементации (850-950°C и выше).Thus, the nitrocementing medium containing NTs 222 nitrocellulose varnish, urea, potassium iron-hydrogen sulfide and DG-100 gas soot will be active in a wide temperature range: as nitrocellulose varnish begins to decompose at a temperature of ~ 200 °, urea will begin to release active nitrogen already at 450 ° C, iron-sulphide potassium will begin to liberate nitrogen and carbon at 600-650 ° C and, finally, soot, under the catalytic action of the decomposition products of the first two components, will generate active carbon at elevated temperatures up to 950 ° C. Alternating, as the temperature rises, the activation of nitrogen-containing and carbon-containing components present in the proposed medium will allow us to vary the saturation of steel, starting from practically pure nitriding (at a temperature of 500-580 ° C) to nitrogen-carburization (at a temperature of 600-700 ° C) and up to pure cementation (850-950 ° C and above).
Thus, the use of the invention allows to increase the rate of nitrocarburizing, to expand the temperature range of nitrocarburizing, to increase the uniformity of heating of parts, to increase environmental safety.
The claimed method does not require significant energy costs and expensive equipment and can be applied in any production both in serial and repair. In addition, this method avoids environmental problems, because carburetor in hard coating does not have toxic components.
