Abstract
Description
The invention relates to geophysical methods for the study of the geological environment and is intended mainly for prospecting and exploration of oil and gas fields.
In vibrational seismic exploration, correlation processing using reference electrical signals is carried out either directly in the field or at a computer center. At the same time, it is believed that the correlograms obtained as a result of this processing are the result of optimal filtering, since the reference signal used for correlation is considered, to a first approximation, as a signal acting on a deep target. However, the electric signal acting on the electromechanical components of the vibration source may differ significantly from the signal propagating directly into the medium, and even more so from the signal affecting the target object under study. The reasons for the differences between the reference electrical and real elastic signals are as follows.
В целом процесс преобразования механической энергии виброисточника в сейсмическую энергию носит частотно-зависимый характер с резонансом на определенной частоте, расположенной в интервале 20-50 Гц.- The vibration source is a non-linear device and cannot emit an ideal signal identical to the control electric signal. The primary sources of harmonics of the most commonly used hydraulic vibrator are (Zimmerman, 2004): the electro-hydraulic power drive of the vibration exciter, the asymmetry of the force interaction of the base plate with the soil surface and the unilateral action of the weight force. In each specific case, the vibration source excites its own characteristic spectrum of harmonics due to the conversion of the primary harmonic level by the resonance characteristic of the design of the vibration exciter and the emitting “vibrator-soil” system as a whole. In this case, the primary level of harmonics and the intensity of the resonant manifestations depend on the radiation power, load characteristics of the soil, and the quality of the contact of the slab with the soil. In general, the process of converting the mechanical energy of a vibration source into seismic energy is frequency-dependent in nature with resonance at a certain frequency, located in the range of 20-50 Hz.
- Сигнал, сформировавшийся в системе «вибратор-грунт», последующие изменения претерпевает в соответствии со следующими факторами: характеристиками интерференционной группы вибраторов; характеристиками ВЧР; фильтрующим влиянием среды, расположенной под ВЧР, и нелинейным частотно-зависимым затуханием сейсмической энергии в этой среде; характеристиками тракта регистрации, включающего систему «скважинный прибор - стенка скважины», сейсмоприемники, кабель и сейсмостанцию.- The signal formed in the "vibrator-soil" system undergoes subsequent changes in accordance with the following factors: characteristics of the interference group of vibrators; characteristics of VChR; the filtering effect of the medium located under the VCH, and the nonlinear frequency-dependent attenuation of seismic energy in this medium; characteristics of the registration path, including the “downhole tool - well wall” system, geophones, cable and seismic station.
Кроме того, взаимодействие волн сопровождается передачей энергии от одной волны к другой.- Nonlinear properties of the medium lead to the appearance of both low- and high-frequency components in the spectrum of seismic vibrations due to nonlinear properties of the medium (Zhukov and Schneerson, 2000). When waves propagate in media with nonlinear parameters, waves with different frequencies interact, resulting in vibrations with total and difference frequencies, as well as harmonic and subharmonic vibrations. In addition, the interaction of waves is accompanied by the transfer of energy from one wave to another.
There is a known method of vibrational seismic exploration, including the formation of control signals, excitation of continuous seismic signals by a vibration source, registration of continuous signals in the form of vibrograms, monitoring and correction of the spectrum of excited oscillations (Gurvich, Boganik, 2006, p. 327-332). The basis of the functioning of the known method of vibrational seismic exploration is a reference signal (sweep), which is used as a correlating signal.
A disadvantage of the known method of vibrational seismic exploration is the use of averaged parameters of the reference signals in it due to the lack of means for their prompt determination for each specific physical observation, which results in insufficient quality and geological efficiency of seismic studies.
С.25-50; Жуков и др., 2011, с. 225-231; Жуков и др., патент РФ №2482526).Closest to the invention in essence and purpose (prototype) is a method of vibrational seismic acquisition, called adaptive vibrational seismic exploration, in which according to one or another set criteria (for example, achieving the most broadband amplitude-frequency spectrum of useful reflected waves in the target time interval) based on analyzing the response of the medium to a previously sent signal, the choice of optimal working nonlinear vibration signals that optimize the specified parameters of the seismic ishi, the selection process occurs in real time and in an automatic mode (Zhukov, Schneerson, 2000. S.25-50; Zhukov et al, 2011, s 225-231;... Zhukov et al, patent RF №2482526).
The disadvantage of this method is the analysis and calculation in it of the parameters of adaptive sweep signals (reference signals) directly from vibration programs without diagnosing the nature and parameters of specific interference. The fact is that the signals coming from the depths to the earth's surface differ significantly from the sweep signal due to the overlapping of useful signals of resonant disturbances of various nature that are not related to deep target reflections that arise in the surface part of the geological section. As a result of this, the cross-correlation function of the vibrograms even after correction of the spectrum of the sweep signal can significantly differ from the autocorrelation function of the latter, as a result of which the quality of the correlograms deteriorates.
The purpose of the present invention is to improve the quality of vibrational seismic data.
This goal is achieved by the fact that in the method of vibrational seismic exploration, including the excitation and registration of vibrational vibrations and the correction of the reference signal from the spectra of the excited or recorded signals, according to the invention, at least one resonant frequency is determined in the spectrum of the recorded signals, the vibrational signals are re-excited and recorded oscillations, while from the range of excited oscillations exclude the resonant frequency or weaken its relative intensity by increasing sheniya rate of change of the reference signal in the frequency range comprising the resonance frequency. In one specific embodiment of the invention, after determining the resonant frequency, vibrational vibrations are excited in at least two ranges located on opposite sides of the resonant frequency, after which the recorded vibrations are added together, and the missing frequency components of the seismic recording spectrum are restored during processing.
Compared with the prototype of the proposed method of vibrational seismic exploration in accordance with the invention is characterized by such significant differences:
- способом получения входной информации, целенаправленно исключающим регистрацию резонансных помех, возникающих в приповерхностной части геологического разреза;- a method of obtaining input information that deliberately excludes the registration of resonant noise arising in the surface part of the geological section;
- большей достоверностью сигнала, используемого для взаимной корреляции или деконволюции виброграмм.- greater reliability of the signal used for cross-correlation or deconvolution of vibrograms.
The essence of the proposed method is as follows.
The resonant vibrations arising at the contact of the vibration source with the soil are superimposed on much weaker useful signals, as a result of which the quality of their emission, which affects the results of vibroseismic surveying as a whole, is significantly reduced. In addition to such resonant vibrations, the nature of which is described above, there may be resonant vibrations of objects located directly in the near-surface zone of the geological section. These oscillations can be caused by inhomogeneities that differ in elastic properties from the surrounding medium (Korneev, 2009). In addition, resonance oscillations can be detected during observations on ice of water bodies that are not frozen to the bottom (Kostrygin, 2002) or in swampy areas. Being undoubtedly useful in solving engineering and shallow seismic exploration tasks in oil seismic exploration, such resonant oscillations are regarded as interference, since they can overlap with weaker signals reflected from target objects. Their suppression directly at the stage of work can provide improved quality of the recorded useful signals and the quality of vibrational seismic exploration as a whole.
In accordance with the invention, it is proposed that the resonance oscillations superimposed on the useful signal be excluded directly from the excited signals by determining their frequency previously, or substantially weaken them by such a transformation of the sweep signal sent to the medium, at which the rate of change of the frequency of the signal increases in the range of resonance recording compared to neighboring frequency ranges.
The rationale for attenuation of resonant noise when using the last of the listed alternative approaches is as follows. In vibrational seismic, the rate of change of frequency in the sweep signal is equal to the time derivative of the frequency sweep. By increasing this speed, we can “slip through” the resonant frequency at a speed at which the level of resonant noise arising on the seismic record does not exceed the permissible level (usually not higher than the level of the useful signal). In this case, control can be carried out on the recorded correlograms by comparing them with correlograms at those excitation points where there are no interfering resonance phenomena.
The method is as follows.
The area intended for study by the vibroseismic method, by known methods, is divided into sections, each of which is characterized by uniform surface conditions. If preliminary division into sections was not carried out, then the primary registration of oscillations, aimed at determining the resonant frequencies, is carried out for each arrangement of geophones. The outputs of the seismic receivers located within the selected area (or within the arrangement) are fed to the input of the seismic complex, which implements adaptive vibroseismic exploration technology. As such a seismic survey complex, the GDS-1 vibration source control system developed at Geophysical Data Systems LLC (Zhukov et al., 2011, pp. 226–227) can be used. On the GDS-1 block, parameters of a sufficiently large number of optimal sweep signals received at various excitation points (PV) can be stored. The sequence of procedures in accordance with the invention is as follows:
- при первом накоплении на данном ПВ генерируется линейный частотно-модулированный (ЛЧМ) свип-сигнал;- at the first accumulation, a linear frequency-modulated (LFM) sweep signal is generated on this PV;
- проводится регистрация отклика (виброграмма) на этот сигнал;- the response is recorded (vibrogram) to this signal;
- в спектре зарегистрированных сигналов выделяют резонансные частоты, для которых рассчитывают соответствующие свип-сигналы, не содержащие этих резонансных частот, или рассчитывают коэффициенты, позволяющие повысить скорость изменения частоты в диапазоне соответствующего резонанса;- in the spectrum of the recorded signals, resonant frequencies are distinguished, for which the corresponding sweep signals that do not contain these resonant frequencies are calculated, or coefficients are calculated that make it possible to increase the rate of change of frequency in the range of the corresponding resonance;
- рассчитанные коэффициенты передаются в шифратор блока GDS-1 сейсмостанции для расчета временной развертки нового свип-сигнала на базе полученных коэффициентов;- the calculated coefficients are transmitted to the encoder of the GDS-1 block of the seismic station to calculate the time base of the new sweep signal based on the obtained coefficients;
- данный нелинейный адаптированный свип-сигнал по радиоканалу передается в дешифраторы вибрационных источников для генерации последующих накоплений на данном пункте возбуждения (ПВ).- this nonlinear adapted sweep signal is transmitted over the air to the decoders of the vibration sources to generate subsequent accumulations at this point of excitation (PV).
Убедительные примеры, иллюстрирующие это утверждение, приведены в книге (Жуков и др., 2011, с. 378- 383).Compression of vibrograms into pulsed form can be carried out in two ways: by forming a function of cross-correlation of vibrograms with a sweep signal after its correction, or by deconvolving vibrograms using an inverse filter, which is calculated by a sweep signal, in which the proposed method takes a signal that is repeatedly recorded after its correction, performed after studying its spectral composition during the initial excitation of oscillations. The use of deconvolution rather than correlation with the sweep signal is preferable, since this increases the relative intensity of the high-frequency components of the spectrum to a greater extent, and hence the resolution of the method. Convincing examples illustrating this statement are given in the book (Zhukov et al., 2011, pp. 378–383).
На этапе обработки целесообразно применять комплекс программ ФИЛМЕМ, использующий максимально энтропийную экстраполяцию спектра сейсмической записи в диапазоны частот, содержавшие резонансные колебания (в них после подавления помех образуются своеобразные «дыры») (Жуков и др., 2011).At the processing stage, it is advisable to use the FILMEM software package, which uses the maximum entropy extrapolation of the seismic recording spectrum to frequency ranges containing resonant oscillations (in them, after the suppression of interference, peculiar “holes” form) (Zhukov et al., 2011).
The introduction of the invention into the practice of vibrational seismic exploration does not require the creation of new technical means and can be started already at present. Its use will allow more reasonably to control the spectrum of excited seismic vibrations, thereby increasing the reliability of the study of productive deposits. It is advisable to use the proposed method in combination with technologies for studying the upper part of the section, in which resonant vibrations will help to more reliably identify anomalous objects located in the near-surface zone.
The proposed method, described in detail in the appendix to ground-based seismic exploration, without a significant change in its essence can be quite applied when conducting offshore and borehole seismic surveys, which are carried out in significant quantities using vibration sources.
In the method of vertical seismic profiling (VSP), the proposed method can be used in a wide variety of modern modifications of the method (Shekhtman et al., 2004). When carrying out longitudinal and non-longitudinal VSP, when the excitation of vibrations is carried out with fixed PV, the correction of the excited oscillations can be carried out not so often during work as with other modifications of the VSP method (level VSP, VSP with a moving oscillation source, areal VSP, etc. .). Preliminary information on the design of the well under study (cementing quality of its annulus, position of geological boundaries in the overburden, etc.) allows us to select those depth intervals for the correction of the sweep signal, within which the recording quality is high enough so that the spectra of useful wave signals do not were distorted by vibrational tube waves, also characterized by a resonant character.
