Abstract
Description
The invention relates to compositions for professional hygiene and brushing.
11/00).The closest technical solution is a composition for cleaning teeth, including calcined aluminum oxide as a polishing agent containing from 50 to 90 mass. % α-alumina and from 10.0 to 50 mass. % γ-alumina, a water-soluble tripolyphosphate salt of an alkali metal of sodium or potassium, or a mixture thereof in an amount of from 1.0 to 20.0 wt. % by weight of the entire composition. The composition contains calcined alumina in an amount of from OD to 3.0 mass. % by weight of the entire composition. The composition further comprises a surfactant, a source of fluoride ions in the form of sodium fluoride, anti-plaque agents and halitosis (RF Patent No. 2538718, IPC
A disadvantage of the known composition is that calcined alumina has high abrasive properties (Mohs hardness 9) and when used as professional hygiene in an amount of 50-90 masses. % during air-abrasive treatment of the tooth enamel surface causes erosion of the surface layer. With repeated use of the composition, there is an increase in the sensitivity of the tooth to temperature and taste stimuli. Flavorings designed to reduce bad breath often cause allergic reactions that require treatment with antiallergic drugs.
The objective of the invention is the creation of a high-quality composition that removes solid deposits from the surface of the tooth without damaging the structure of enamel and cement.
The problem is achieved in that in a composition containing components of α-alumina and γ-alumina, new is that the composition additionally contains amorphous alumina in an amount of 30-60 mass. %, α-alumina 10-30 mass. %, γ-alumina 55-70 mass. % and components in a composition of 2-5 microns in size in the form of aggregates of irregular spherical shapes with a diameter of 50-70 microns each.
To obtain the composition, amorphous alumina was introduced, which is highly resistant to liquids, which is a powerful adsorbent for drying gases and liquids and absorbing polar organic substances and harmful components. Amorphous alumina is the most inert drug with no toxic effects, therefore it is widely used in medicine and is the main ingredient in the removal of toxicity, poisoning and treatment of peptic ulcer. The introduction of amorphous alumina into the composition is associated with its ability to electronize upon mechanical activation and the accumulation of positively and negatively charged fields on its surface that attract particles of amorphous alumina, α- and γ-aluminas, creating agglomerates of irregular spherical shapes.
The decrease in the number of mass fraction of amorphous alumina less than 30 mass. % leads to a decrease in the degree of aggregation of the composition and to the destruction of aggregates when loaded into an air-abrasive apparatus. The increase in the proportion of amorphous alumina over 60 mass. % leads to the formation of dense aggregates, which practically do not collapse upon contact with the surface of the tooth and do not have a cleaning effect.
The decrease in the mass fraction of α-alumina is less than 10 mass. % reduces the cleaning effect, and the increase in the mass fraction of α-alumina more than 30 mass. % leads to the formation of micro roughness on the surface of the dental tissue.
The decrease in the mass fraction of γ-alumina less than 55 mass. % leads to a decrease in the polishing effect, and an increase in the mass fraction of γ-alumina over 70 mass. % leads to polishing of hard dental deposits while reducing brushing, while a thin layer of shiny dental deposits remains.
An example of obtaining a composition.
To obtain a composition, α-alumina powder is taken with particle sizes of 5-10 μm in an amount of 1.5 g, γ-alumina with particle sizes of 5-10 μm in an amount of 8.2 g and amorphous aluminum with particle sizes of 2-5 μm in an amount of 5 , 3 g and stirred in a glass flask with a spatula. A mixture of powders is placed in a 45 ml corundum drum with 12 mm diameter corundum spheres and installed in a Pulverizetta 7 planetary mill. Set the smooth acceleration of the mill to 300 rpm and rotate for 5 minutes. Inside the mill, the stresses of the components occur with the walls of the rotating drum and the balls, as well as between themselves. In the process of high-speed friction and stress in the particles of amorphous alumina, the accumulation of kinetic energy occurs, leading to the formation of dense aggregates of irregular spherical shapes with a diameter of each 50-70 microns.
The method of application of the composition.
When using the finished composition for professional toothbrushing, an air-abrasive apparatus is used. Upon impact, the aggregates are broken on the tooth surface and cleanse the teeth from plaque. For high-quality dental treatment use air-abrasive apparatus with water irrigation. To remove residual powder and dental deposits from the oral cavity, use a vacuum cleaner or saliva ejector.
