Abstract
Description
The invention relates to the disinfection of water or another liquid and is based on the generation of radiation in hollow balls of quartz thick-walled glass using an inductor of high-frequency currents.
Known reagentless methods and devices for disinfecting water or other liquids using sources of UV radiation, which are performed mainly in the form of discharge lamps of low or high pressure and are fed directly from microwave radiation from electrodeless microwave discharge lamps. (Kinebas A.K., Trukhin Yu.A., Kislov A.V., Popov V.N. Method for disinfecting water with ultraviolet radiation and a device for its implementation. RF Patent No. 2397146, F. Karmazinov, A. The indicated cleaning method uses ultraviolet radiation to irradiate a stationary or moving disinfected volume of water with ultraviolet light-emitting semiconductor diodes, the radiation being introduced into the disinfected volume through an optical conduit window or a series of optical windows that are transparent to ultraviolet radiation, to ensure that light emitting semiconductor diodes are scattered from the light emitting diodes on the .
10.01.2001).As a prototype of the invention, a spherical lamp was taken, placed in the maximum region of the microwave electric field of the working type of oscillation of the microwave resonator (Schlifer E. D. Microwave exciter of an electrodeless discharge lamp. Patent for the invention of the Russian Federation No. 2161875 // Inventions. Utility models. 10.01 .2001).
The disadvantage of devices that implement the above method of cleaning it, which implements (UV lamps powered by microwave radiation, placed in the stream of treated water), is that when the UV lamp housing comes in contact with natural water or wastewater, it is overgrown with deposits, which requires periodic cleaning lamps using expensive chemicals.
An object of the present invention is to provide a non-reagent cleaning of UV lamps.
This problem is solved, and the technical result consists in creating mechanical contact with the various parts of the spherical lamps with each other (tumbling), which ensures their mechanical cleaning from fouling deposits.
Such a “wandering” contact is achieved by placing hollow thick-walled spherical bulbs filled with an inert gas or a mixture of them - balls made of UV-transparent material into a rotating drum, transparent to microwave radiation and having misaligned holes in the upper and lower covers and closed with a holding lamp bulbs grill. The drum is placed on two nodes of rotation, through seals connected to the inlet and outlet pipes, respectively. The axis of the drum is deviated from the axis of rotation by a certain angle for better tumbling of the balls. The entire structure is surrounded by a microwave resonator - an inductor, which is connected via terminals to a microwave radiation source.
The proposed device for water disinfection is depicted in figure 1, where are indicated:

The proposed device for disinfecting water works as follows. Natural water or wastewater flows through an inlet pipe (1), mounted on a rigid support, into a drum (5) filled with hollow thick-walled quartz glass balls (6) filled with an inert gas or a mixture thereof. The drum is mounted on the roller rotation units (2), seals (3) are installed to prevent water from flowing out. To prevent the balls from being carried away by the water flow, retaining grids (4) are installed at the inlet and at the outlet of the drum. The axis of the drum is deviated from the axis of rotation by a certain angle for better tumbling of the balls. The drum has the ability to rotate 180 degrees in both directions. A microwave resonator, rigidly connected to it, is wound around the drum - an inductor of high-frequency currents (7) in the form of a cylindrical spiral, which is connected through a contact terminal (8) to a high-frequency generator (not shown in the figure). When the device is operating, the microwave cavity excites UV light inside the spherical balls. Having passed through a drum filled with balls, disinfected water is discharged through an outlet pipe fixed to a rigid support (9). The speed, direction and frequency of rotation of the drum can be adjusted. When the drum rotates, the balls touch each other and rotate, thereby achieving their cleaning from plaque.
