Abstract
Description
The invention relates to metallurgy, in particular to high-strength structural steels of high cold resistance, used in the production of elements of the lifting equipment.
High-strength steel used for the manufacture of structures and parts of heavy machinery and supporting structures of cranes must combine high strength characteristics (at least 700 MPa), plastic and toughness at low temperatures (-70 ° C), and not be prone to cracking.
The known composition of low alloy steel [1] having the following chemical composition, wt.%:
This steel has insufficient ductility and toughness on Charlie samples at -70 ° C, thick sheets of it do not withstand cold bending of 180 degrees without cracking.
Also known low alloy steel [2], having the following chemical composition, wt.%:
The disadvantages of the known steel are its low ductility and toughness at -70 ° C on Charpy samples. In addition, steel is prone to crack formation as hot rolling of thick sheets, and when tested for cold bending at 180 degrees.
Наиболее близкой по своему составу и свойствам к предлагаемой стали является низколегированная сталь [3], содержащая компоненты в следующем соотношении, мас.%:The closest in composition and properties to the proposed steel is low alloy steel [3], containing components in the following ratio, wt.%:
A disadvantage of steel of known composition is that it has insufficient strength and toughness at -70 ° C on Charpy samples.
The technical problem solved by the invention is to increase strength, toughness at low temperatures while maintaining weldability.
Для решения поставленной технической задачи применяют высокопрочную хладостойкую бейнитную сталь, содержащую углерод, марганец, кремний, хром, никель, медь, азот, алюминий, бор, молибден, ниобий, серу, фосфор, железо и неизбежные примеси при следующем соотношении компонентов, мас.%:To solve this technical problem, high-strength cold-resistant bainitic steel is used, containing carbon, manganese, silicon, chromium, nickel, copper, nitrogen, aluminum, boron, molybdenum, niobium, sulfur, phosphorus, iron and inevitable impurities in the following ratio of components, wt.% :
The essence of the invention lies in the fact that complex alloying with the specified ratio of element concentrations allows you to grind the structure and increase the dispersion of steel. As a result, hardenability, strength and toughness of steel at low temperatures increase.
Carbon reinforces steel. With a carbon content of less than 0.10%, the required strength of the steel is not achieved, and with its content of more than 0.15%, the weldability and ductility of the steel is deteriorated.
Silicon deoxidizes steel, increases its strength characteristics. At a silicon concentration of less than 0.2%, the strength of the steel is lower than acceptable, and at a concentration of 0.3% or more, ductility decreases.
Manganese deoxidizes and strengthens steel, binds sulfur. When the manganese content is less than 0.9%, the strength of the steel is insufficient. Joint alloying with manganese and chromium increases strength. Exceeding the specified limits is impractical, because with an increase in strength characteristics, there is a decrease in ductility, toughness, cold resistance and the tendency of steel to crack formation increases.
When the nickel content is less than 0.1%, the strength and toughness of the steel decreases. An increase in the nickel content of more than 0.5% does not lead to a further increase in the required properties, but only increases the cost of steel.
Copper helps to increase strength properties. But if the content of this element for a given composition exceeds 0.5%, then there may be a decrease in the toughness of steel at freezing temperatures.
Nitrogen in steel is a carbon-nitride-forming element that provides its hardening. A nitrogen content of 0.010% or less does not provide the required level of strength. A nitrogen content of more than 0.012% leads to a decrease in the viscosity and plastic properties, which is unacceptable.
Aluminum deoxidizes steel and grinds grain. It binds nitrogen and nitrides. Aluminum carbonitrides are finely divided reinforcing particles. When the aluminum content is less than 0.01%, the strength of the steel decreases. An increase in the content of this element by more than 0.05% leads to a decrease in the plastic and viscosity properties and contaminates the steel with non-metallic inclusions, which lead to a decrease in the strength characteristics, cold resistance, and impact strength.
Boron strengthens the solid solution by the introduction mechanism, increases hardenability, strength and wear resistance of steel, grinds the microstructure. With a boron content of less than 0.0015%, its effect is negligible. An increase in the influence of boron of more than 0.005% leads to the appearance of excess phases (borides) at the grain boundaries, which reduces the toughness of steel at low temperatures.
Molybdenum increases the strength and toughness of steel, grinding grain microstructure. When the molybdenum content is 0.5% or less, the strength of the steel is lower than the required level, and an increase in its content of more than 0.6% affects the ductility and toughness and leads to an excessive consumption of alloying elements.
Introduction to the composition of niobium contributes to the production of a cellular dislocation microstructure, providing a combination of high strength properties of the metal and high impact strength at low temperatures. Niobium is used not only for dispersion hardening of steel, but also for effective increase of its viscosity due to grinding of grains.
Niobium increases the strength and toughness of steel, grinding grain microstructure. When the niobium content is less than 0.02%, the strength and toughness of the steel are lower than the required level, and an increase in the niobium content of more than 0.06% is impractical, because does not lead to further improvement of properties, but only increases the consumption of alloying elements.
The restriction of sulfur and phosphorus is due to their negative effect on the strength characteristics, reduction in ductility and toughness. Sulfur accumulates in steel in the form of sulfides, which are stress concentrators around which cracks arise and develop. With an increase in the phosphorus content, a decrease in toughness occurs at negative temperatures and a decrease in the proportion of fiber in the fracture.
The bainitic structure guarantees cold resistance at -70 ° C and provides the strength characteristics of thermally improved steel corresponding to a strength class of at least 700 MPa.
Implementation example.
Steel was smelted in an electric arc furnace, cast into slabs. The slabs were subjected to heat treatment at the following process parameters: metal heating rate — 20-30 ° C / h; heating temperature - 870 ° C; exposure time 12 hours; cooling rate to a temperature of 200 ° C - not more than 50 ° C / hour. Then the slabs were heated to a temperature of 1240-1260 ° C and rolled on sheets 2800 into sheets to a final thickness at a temperature of the end of rolling of 850-890 ° C (with a thickness of finished rolled 10.0-20.0 mm) or at a temperature of the end of rolling more than 930 ° C (with a finished product thickness of 20.1-40.0 mm). The sheets were quenched at a temperature of 930 ° C. Then, the rolled products of all thicknesses were tempered at a heating temperature of 690–700 ° C and a holding time of 1.1–2.2 min / mm, depending on the thickness of the rolled products.
(1).From the table. 1 and 2, it follows that the proposed steel (compositions 2-3) has higher strength and toughness at a temperature of -40 ° C and -70 ° C, which is ensured including the bainitic structure. In addition, steel is characterized by high ductility and weldability. Weldability is confirmed by the value of the coefficient of crack resistance not more than 0.30%, cleared according to the formula (1).
Также более низкие свойства по ударной вязкости имеет сталь прототип (состав 4).At extreme concentrations of elements (compositions 1, 4-5), the strength and toughness of steel deteriorate, and ductility decreases. Also lower properties in toughness is steel prototype (composition 4).
