Abstract
Description
The device is designed to simulate space conditions when learning to control a spacecraft - a gravity tractor.
The device serves to better understand the operation of the gravitational tractor for educational purposes.
NASA experts say that fixing the engines on the asteroid (to correct its orbit) is very difficult. Due to low gravity, a reliable connection will not work. Or you need to drill. What is also difficult and unreliable.
Instead, astronauts propose using a "gravity tractor (or tractor)." This is a relatively large automatic ship, which upon arrival at the site should hover motionless at a low altitude above the asteroid.
Now the tractor turns on its engines (obviously - low-power, but extremely economical - ionic) and begins to slowly and slowly accelerate. Naturally, the exhaust stream must be directed somewhat away from the asteroid - like the petals of a flower.
The asteroid will be displaced after the machine - simply due to the force of gravitational attraction between the rock and the spacecraft. It is only necessary to adjust the traction force so that the probe does not fly away.
And although the attractive force will be extremely small, according to the authors of the idea, a 20-ton probe can lead a 200-meter asteroid from a dangerous trajectory in just one year of such towing.
(1).And a 200-meter “stone”, under an unfortunate set of circumstances, may well endanger all life on the planet (due to climate change) and the city can destroy it calmly (1).
2486115.Known RF patent No. 2486115.
(2).The invention relates to astronautics and can be used to protect the Earth from asteroids. In the direction of the asteroid, space rockets (CR) are launched sequentially at time intervals with on-board guidance and nuclear warheads (warheads) and brought together as close as possible, then the warheads explode, changing the speed and direction of flight of the asteroid away from Earth. The time intervals of launches of the Raman scattering depend on the decrease in the mass of the asteroid from the previous explosion, the speed and direction of the Raman scattering, the expected time of approaching the next rocket scattering. The invention eliminates the collision of an asteroid with the Earth (2).
This invention sets the task of protecting the Earth from asteroids, but not specifically enough.
2112718.Known RF patent No. 2112718.
Для осуществления межорбитальных транспортных операций в космической системе на последующих этапах ее развития предполагается применение неракетных средств: резонансных систем типа “гравилет” и систем с обменом энергии и импульса (тросовых и роторно-маятниковых) (3).The invention relates to space energy, as well as to methods and means of protecting the Earth from dangerous space objects: asteroids, comets, space debris. In the proposed method, the components of nuclear charges (reduced during the disarmament process) are brought into orbits and used to equip space interceptors directed to dangerous objects and iron-containing asteroids; the latter are transferred by a series of nuclear explosions into the Earth’s sphere of action, where they are subjected to decontamination and reprocessing with the aim of constructing elements of the Earth’s space energy industrial infrastructure from asteroid iron. This infrastructure includes solar reflectors and platforms, and material for disposable launch vehicles was used to spray the reflective layer. For the implementation of interorbital transport operations in the space system at the subsequent stages of its development, it is proposed to use non-rocket means: resonant systems of the “gravity” type and systems with the exchange of energy and momentum (cable and rotary-pendulum) (3).
The mentioned invention can be selected as the closest in conceptual essence.
Based on the task, the applicant implements the technical result - a sufficiently effective simulator for training and training in controlling the spacecraft is claimed, while the convenience and visibility of its control and action are increased.

The device operates as follows.
The proposed device consists of a circular gutter made of Plexiglas 2, which can move a steel ball 1, which simulates an asteroid. A moving part consisting of a laser range finder 3, solar panels and strong permanent magnets is located above the gutter. Gravitational forces are simulated by magnetic forces. The moving part is driven by an engine 5, 9, which is controlled so that the distance between the steel ball (asteroid) and the permanent magnets is two to three centimeters. The ball tends to permanent magnets that “run away” and pull the ball behind them without contact.
As strong permanent magnets, neodymium-iron-boron magnets produced by Russian industry can be used.
The developed device layout works successfully.
