Abstract
Description
The proposed technical solution relates to aviation and rocket technology, namely to the fuel systems of high-speed aircraft (LA), in which a fuel pressurization system of the tank is used to supply fuel to the engine, which has a compressed gas cylinder.
Improving the mass and size characteristics of an aircraft can be done by its layout, in which a significant part of the external aerodynamic surfaces is formed directly by the surfaces of the fuel tanks. An increase in the speed and range of the aircraft leads to increased aerodynamic heating of the fuel tank structure and its systems and assemblies. Therefore, the task of optimizing the layout of the aircraft fuel tank and determining the parameters of heat and mass transfer processes of various propulsion system systems becomes relevant.
Known displacement fuel supply systems with gas cylinder boost system (Belyaev N.M. Systems for boosting rocket fuel tanks. M., Mechanical Engineering, 1976, p.17, Fig. 1.5-1.8) containing tanks with fuel components, pressure air accumulator , consisting of a cylinder of compressed gas equipped with filling and drainage units, pipelines, control, shut-off and other valves.
The well-known source shows the dependencies for determining the gas mass flow rate for boosting, but they can only be used to calculate the mass of the gas of the boosting propellant delivery systems for ballistic missiles (last stages) and spacecraft.
A fuel tank pressurization system is also known (RF patent No. 2311318, 2006), comprising a fuel tank, a gas bottle, pipelines, shut-off and control valves and an additional solid fuel gas generator. Such an invention solves the problem of reducing the volume and mass of a gas cylinder and pressurization system is not effective enough, because the use of an additional unit - a solid fuel gas generator increases the mass of the system and at the same time reduces its reliability.
A disadvantage of the known pressurization system is also the use of a single gas cylinder, which complicates the layout and alignment of the aircraft.
The aim of the proposed technical solution is to limit the dimensions of the aircraft’s fuel tank by performing optimal layout and alignment, as well as reducing the mass of boost gas charged to high-pressure cylinders.
This goal is achieved by the fact that in an aircraft fuel tank pressurization system containing a pressure accumulator consisting of a compressed gas cylinder equipped with filling and drainage units, pipelines, control valves and stop valves, the pressure accumulator consists of several, more than two, compressed gas cylinders, at this cylinder filled with compressed gas mass determined from the ratio:
где MГ - масса газа наддува в баллонах;where M G is the mass of boost gas in cylinders;
P - давление наддува топливного бака;P - boost pressure of the fuel tank;
V - объем топливного бака;V is the volume of the fuel tank;
R - газовая постоянная газа наддува;R is the gas constant of the boost gas;
T is the temperature of the gas in the fuel tank at the end of the flight of a supersonic aircraft.
The implementation of the pressure accumulator from several cylinders of compressed gas (smaller volume, but containing the total mass of gas necessary for boosting the fuel tank) allows you to rationally place them in the fuel tank, taking into account the mass inertia parameters. At the same time, the mass and volume of unproductive balancing weights designed to provide the required alignment of the aircraft decreases, and the usable volume for fuel increases while maintaining the external dimensions of the fuel tank.
For high-speed supersonic aircraft performing a long flight in the atmosphere with speeds of M≥3, aerodynamic heating leads to a significant increase in the temperature of the fuel tank casing and, accordingly, of the fuel and gas “boost” cushion.
Therefore, the proposed relation (1), in which the temperature of the boost gas at the end of the flight of a supersonic aircraft, is decisive, allows us to more accurately determine the mass of the boost gas using real thermodynamic parameters of the state of the gas volume of the boost of the fuel tank.
In supersonic aircraft with jet engines operating on liquid hydrocarbon fuel, there is significant heating of both the design of the fuel tank and the fuel contained in it. The flight dynamics is such that after a short time (20-30 seconds) the aircraft is already moving at a given speed. At the same time, the high heat exchange rate of the tank body with fuel and a gas “cushion” and the constantly increased heat exchange area “gas -“ dry ”tank body” lead to rapid heating of the boost gas. According to bench tests and full-scale tests of products developed at the applicant enterprise, the temperature of the boost gas in the steady state is more than 150 ° C.
25-30%.The decrease in gas mass determined by the proposed ratio (1) is at least 25-30%.
Additionally, to clarify the mass of gas charged in cylinders, the following ratio was revealed:
где Mг - масса газа наддува в баллоне;where M g is the mass of boost gas in the cylinder;
Рс - давление наддува газовой смеси (газ наддува+пары топлива) топливного бака;P with - boost pressure of the gas mixture (boost gas + fuel vapor) of the fuel tank;
Vc - объем топливного бака (объем газовой смеси);V c - fuel tank volume (gas mixture volume);
Rгн - газовая постоянная газа наддува;R gn is the gas constant of the boost gas;
Тc - температура газа наддува (газовой смеси) в конце полета сверхзвукового летательного аппарата;T c is the temperature of the boost gas (gas mixture) at the end of the flight of a supersonic aircraft;
Мп - масса паров топлива в газовой смеси;M p - mass of fuel vapor in the gas mixture;
R p - gas constant vapor fuel.
The proposed relation (2) allows us to clarify the necessary mass of gas to pressurize the fuel tank contained in high-pressure cylinders. Calculation according to this formula is acceptable for conditions of long-term flight of a supersonic aircraft (10 2 -10 3 sec), during which not only heating of the incoming gas from the cylinders occurs, but also the formation of vapor of evaporating hydrocarbon fuel. At the end of the flight, due to the high specific heat fluxes on the inner surface of the fuel tank casing, the remaining fuel and the fuel film almost completely evaporate and the partial pressure of the fuel vapor can reach a significant value - 20-40% of the pressure of the resulting gas mixture.
The proposed technical solution is illustrated by the drawing, in which the system of pressurizing the fuel tank contains gas cylinders 1 with a filling valve 2 connected through a start valve 3 and a pressure regulator 4 to the fuel tank 5, the fuel cavity of which is connected to the line 6 for supplying fuel to the aircraft engine.
6.The proposed device operates as follows. Before starting the engine of the aircraft, valve 3 is activated and the gas in the high-pressure cylinders 1 through the pressure regulator 4 starts to flow into the tank 5, providing fuel to the engine through pipeline 6.
During the flight of a supersonic aircraft due to the influence of external aerodynamic flows, the fuel tank body is heated to high temperatures. At the same time, the boost gas in the fuel tank also heats up intensively and at the same time the hydrocarbon fuel evaporates.
(2).The main positive effect of the proposed technical solution, namely, achieving the optimal layout and alignment of the fuel tank and aircraft, as well as reducing the mass of the boost gas, is achieved by performing a pressure accumulator from several, more than two, compressed gas cylinders and determining the mass of gas charged in the cylinders according to the proposed relations ( 1) and (2).
