The present invention relates to the chemical technology of highly porous ceramic products with a cellular structure, which can be used as carriers of block catalysts for carrying out catalytic liquid-phase heterogeneous processes, filters for filtering contaminated liquids and gases, nozzles for mass and heat transfer processes, heat-insulating materials and for other purposes .
A known method of manufacturing highly porous cellular materials (see RF patent No. 2233700, priority June 11, 2002. The composition of the charge for a highly porous material with a mesh-cellular structure for catalyst supports / A.I. Kozlov, E.S. Lukin). They are obtained on the basis of a mixture of an inert filler and sintering powder of aluminum oxide with additives of any metal oxides of groups II and IV of the table of D. I. Mendeleev in any quantity with the addition of a binder, followed by drying of the products, burning of the organic base and firing of the ceramic frame in the range temperatures 1450-1500 ° С. The ceramic suspension used to impregnate the polymer matrix has a low viscosity and high fluidity, which allows it to be applied uniformly to the polymer matrix. The low content of suspensions leads to low strength of highly porous material after firing.
The disadvantages of the method include low compressive strength (not exceeding 1 MPa) and a relatively low open porosity (85 ... 92%) of cellular ceramic materials.
A known method of manufacturing highly porous cellular materials (see RF patent No. 2294317, priority dated October 14, 2004. A method of manufacturing highly porous cellular ceramic products / A.I. Kozlov, A.F. Kuimov, E.S. Lukin, N.V. Strokes), which allows to increase the open porosity of cellular ceramic products to 93 ... 95% while maintaining the compressive strength to 1.5 ... 2.0 MPa. The polymer matrix (made of polyurethane) after impregnation with a slip consisting of an inert filler in the form of electrofused corundum or a mixture of electrofused corundum and silicon carbide and dispersed alumina powder with metal oxides (groups II and IV of the table of D. I. Mendeleev) is subjected to excess compression slip, drying to remove moisture and impart strength, processing with aluminosol (or aluminum chloride without or with the introduction of elements of active additives at pH 4.0 ± 0.2), followed by additional drying, firing.
Недостатком известного способа изготовления высокопористых ячеистых керамических изделий являются недостаточно высокая его прочность на сжатие (до 1,5…2,0 МПа).The disadvantage of this method of manufacturing highly porous cellular ceramic products is its insufficient compressive strength (up to 1.5 ... 2.0 MPa).
The closest in technical essence and the achieved result to the claimed is a method of manufacturing highly porous cellular ceramic products, selected as a prototype (see RF patent No. 2377224, priority dated April 14, 2008. A method of manufacturing highly porous cellular ceramic products / A.I. Kozlov, V.N. Grunsky, A.V. Bespalov, I.A. Kozlov, V.A. Kolesnikov, V.P. Gradov, and E.S.
Highly porous cellular ceramic products are obtained by impregnating the polymer matrix with a slip consisting of an inert filler — electrofused corundum or a mixture of electrofused corundum and silicon carbide, dispersed aluminum oxide powder with the addition of metal oxides of groups II and / or IV of the table of D. I. Mendeleev and a solution of polyvinyl alcohol followed by drying, firing to remove the organic component and processing with a solution of aluminosol at pH 4.0 ± 0.2, followed by additional drying and firing at a temperature of more than 150 0 ° C, impregnated with high molecular weight alcohol, dried and pyrolysis of high molecular weight alcohol is carried out at a temperature of 350 ... 550 ° C in an inert gas medium, while pyrolytic carbon is deposited on the surface of the product to 10 wt.% By weight of the product.
The disadvantage of this method of manufacturing highly porous cellular ceramic products is a small specific surface area.
The technical result, to which the claimed method is directed, is the manufacture of highly porous cellular ceramic products with a higher specific surface.
To achieve the specified technical result in the proposed method for the manufacture of highly porous cellular ceramic products, a polyurethane matrix of any geometric shape is impregnated with a slip consisting of an inert filler — electrofused corundum or a mixture of electrofused corundum, silicon carbide, dispersed alumina powder with the addition of metal oxides (groups II and IV of the table D.I. Mendeleev) and a solution of polyvinyl alcohol (PVA). The excess slip is squeezed. After drying, firing, a highly porous cellular ceramic product (α-Al 2 O 3 ) with an open porosity of at least 70 ... 95% is obtained. The product is modified by impregnating it with aluminosol (γ-Al 2 O 3 ) at pH 4.0 ± 0.2), dried, calcined at a temperature of 1550 ° C. Next, the products are impregnated with an aqueous solution of cobalt and iron nitrates under a vacuum of 26 kPa ... 40 kPa at room temperature, then the products are calcined at 350 ... 400 ° C, and after calcination, carbon nanotubes obtained by pyrolysis of methane at a temperature of 770 ... 800 ° C are planted on them, up to 0.10 wt.% by weight of the product.
In this case, a highly developed open coating surface of the ceramic cellular article is formed (with a very high ratio of surface area to volume). The specific surface increases to 270 m 2 / g of carbon. The compressive strength is 2.3 ... 2.5 MPa.
