Abstract
Description
The invention is intended to move people and goods between different levels. It can be used in public and other buildings as a floor transport.
There is a wide variety of mechanisms for raising and lowering various objects [1]. In situations not caused by production processes, elevators and escalators are most often used. Elevators take up less space, but are not always convenient due to intermittent operation. Escalators work constantly, but only in one direction. Their serious drawback is the articulated connection of the steps into a chain, to the elements of which increased requirements for strength must be imposed. Also potentially dangerous is the “comb” at the exit of the escalator, under which the canvas of the steps is pulled. It causes the risk of a fall in passengers with personal injury.
An attempt to develop a circular mechanism that works immediately on the rise and descent, thanks to the movable closed chain of steps with the presence of sections of increasing and decreasing height of their location, is implemented in the prototype [2]. However, here, to all the previous drawbacks, a significant complication of the design was added and, as a result, a decrease in reliability.
The aim of the present invention was to provide a simple, reliable and safe circular conveyor for moving people and goods between different levels in both directions.
Figure 1 shows a side view of the object of the invention (without external balustrade). The upper and lower levels are indicated by dashed lines. Figure 2 shows a top view of the working mechanism of the conveyor with adjacent sections of the floor.
1.All the axis of individual rotation of the
In the above construction, the connecting rods are always oriented in the direction of the shift of the base axis from the axis of the bearing ring. This shift can be in any direction, and not just to the upper level, as shown here. Then, when the carrier ring is rotated, a constant orientation with respect to the cardinal points of the steps fastened to the connecting rods is maintained, which makes it possible to maintain the horizontality of the upper platforms, respectively beveled relative to the lower sections adjacent to the inclined carrier ring.
In the optimal case, between the steps should be a constant minimum clearance. This is achieved if their lower sections are in the shape of a circle, and when the side walls are vertical, the upper areas become ellipses. The maximum and minimum heights of the positions of the latter correspond to the upper and lower levels.
To save space, all the main rotating elements (bearing ring, base and handrail) are supported by roller systems. People enter and exit on the side of the chain of steps - from the outer perimeter of the bearing ring.
The described version of the conveyor is already sufficient for use for the declared purpose. However, in order to increase safety, excluding the possibility of stepping on the bearing ring, it is possible to supplement the steps from above mounted on
The technical result of the invention consists in simplicity of design, increased reliability and safety.
