Abstract
Description
The invention relates to the field of reducing the radiation intensity of heated surfaces and gas flows of industrial facilities with the aim of thermal protection and relates to the issue of reducing infrared radiation of these objects.
A known method of thermal protection of objects by producing opaque fog (patent GB 2000575 (A), 10/01/1979, IPC F41H 9/06.) - prototype. According to a known method, a cloud similar to fog is formed in which a powder (talc, calcium carbonates, kaolin) is used. The cloud is cold, neutral, non-toxic, opaque to visible and infrared radiation in the wavelength range from 3 to 5 and from 8 to 14 microns. A fog barrier is used as protection against surveillance of armored vehicles.
However, this method does not sufficiently provide the necessary thermal protection for heated surfaces and gas flows, since when mineral aerosol particles ("fog") get into a heated medium and are heated, they themselves become a powerful infrared radiation source, further unmasking the object. The presence of mineral particles in the fog makes the fog itself a unmasking element of the protected object against the background of natural aerosols above the water surface. In addition, clouds impervious to visible rays interfere with the operation of their own optical observation devices.
The task of the invention is to increase the efficiency of reducing infrared radiation of heated surfaces and gas flows by creating a fine polydisperse fog, free of mineral aerosol particles.
To this end, in a method for reducing infrared radiation of heated surfaces and gas flows of industrial facilities, according to which the latter is thermally shielded using a polydisperse fog, the fog according to the invention is created using filtered unheated water using ultrasonic generators operating in continuous mode, which are located near heated objects. In addition, low noise ultrasonic generators are used to create the fog.
The use of filtered unheated water provides a fine polydisperse fog, free of mineral aerosol inclusions, and without the need for additional heating of the water.
The use of ultrasonic generators operating in a continuous mode to create a fine polydisperse mist provides a fine polydisperse fog.
The invention is illustrated by drawings, in which Fig. 1 shows the layout of a thermal curtain of polydisperse fog at an industrial facility, and in Fig. 2 the same is shown on a floating facility.
The proposed method is as follows.
The claimed method of reducing infrared radiation of heated surfaces in comparison with the method adopted as a prototype has the differences set forth in the characterizing part of the claims, therefore, the claimed method meets the criterion of "novelty."
The above patent technical studies do not reveal technical solutions in which camouflage fog is created using cold unheated water using ultrasonic generators operating in continuous mode and located close to and (or) around the perimeter of a heated object. This gives the right to consider that the claimed method meets the criterion of "significant differences".
Calculation studies have shown that thermal shielding of heated surfaces and gas flows using polydisperse fog can reduce the thermal visibility of infrared sources from 2 to 10 times.
The proposed method of reducing infrared radiation of heated surfaces and gas flows of industrial facilities can significantly increase the efficiency of reducing infrared radiation of heated surfaces and gas flows using fine polydisperse fog, which compares favorably with the prototype.
