Abstract
Description
The invention relates to mechanical engineering and can be used for the treatment of acidic wastewater generated during the sulfuric acid pickling of steel products, as well as in galvanic production.
Известен способ очистки кислых сточных вод от ионов тяжелых металлов, включающий двухстадийное осаждение с использованием известкового молока на первой стадии до pH 6,5-7 с последующей обработкой образованной суспензии карбонатом натрия до pH 9,0-9,5 [патент РФ №2010013].A known method of purification of acidic wastewater from heavy metal ions, including two-stage precipitation using milk of lime in the first stage to a pH of 6.5-7, followed by processing the formed suspension with sodium carbonate to a pH of 9.0-9.5 [RF patent No.2010013] .
Although this method allows you to clean wastewater from heavy metals to MPC values, its significant disadvantage is the high residual salinity in the purified water. This is due to the fact that calcium sulfate precipitated in the first stage of purification has a high solubility in water up to 2.5 g / l, and when sodium carbonate is treated with the resulting suspension of metal hydroxides and calcium sulfate, insoluble calcium carbonate and highly soluble sodium sulfate are obtained. Moreover, the amount of the latter in the solution increases sharply with increasing consumption of soda. Therefore, depending on the amount of specified soda, the residual salt content of the purified solution is 3.5-6 g / l or more. With such parameters of purified water, it is almost impossible to return it to the water cycle of production.
св-во СССР №981248].The closest in technical essence and the achieved positive effect to the present invention is a method of purification of acidic wastewater from heavy metals by two-stage precipitation in the treatment of acidic effluents in the first stage with lime milk to a pH of 8.5-8.9 and in the second stage after separation of the precipitated by adding into the remaining sodium hydrogen phosphate solution at pH 7.2 [ed. St. USSR No. 981248].
Since the precipitate containing calcium sulfate is immediately separated from the solution, its reverse transition to purified water is impossible and the final salt content decreases to 2.3 g / l due to the formation of sodium sulfate. However, at the second stage of purification, hard-to-filter colloidal systems of acid phosphates and polyphosphates of heavy metals are formed and their removal to MPC is not achieved. To precipitate these compounds, it is necessary to add various coagulants to the system, give an excess of sodium hydrogen phosphate, and also conduct the process at elevated temperature. As a result, the final salinity in the purified solution is further increased.
The problem to which the invention is directed, is to increase the efficiency of treatment by reducing the salt content of purified water.
This is achieved by the fact that in the method of wastewater treatment, including two-stage precipitation, in the first stage, the wastewater is treated with milk of lime to a pH of 7.5-8.0, then, after separation of the precipitated precipitate, barium carbonate is introduced into the clarified water and the suspension obtained is kept under stirring before turning it into barium sulfate. Unlike the prototype, the use of barium carbonate can dramatically reduce the residual salt content of purified water due to the exchange reaction:
CaSO4(раствор)+BaCO3(твердый осадок)=BaSO4(твердый осадок)+CaCO3(твердый осадок) CaSO 4 (solution) + BaCO 3 (solid precipitate) = BaSO 4 (solid precipitate) + CaCO 3 (solid precipitate)
In the claimed method, wastewater treatment is carried out in two stages. At the beginning, the wastewater is treated with milk of lime to a pH of 7.5-8.0, then, after separation of the precipitate, barium carbonate is introduced into the clarified water and the resulting suspension is kept under stirring until it turns into barium sulfate. After completion of the exchange reaction, the precipitate of barium sulfate is separated from water and used, for example, as a weighting agent for drilling fluids. Purified water contains heavy metals in amounts below the MPC with a total salt content of less than 0.2 g / l.
An example of a specific implementation of the method. Three types of 0.1 M aqueous solution of iron (II) sulfate, zinc sulfate and copper sulfate containing respectively Fe 2+ = 5.58 g / L, Zn 2+ = 6.54 g / L and Cu 2 were used for cleaning. + = 6.35 g / l. The experiments were carried out at a temperature of 22 ± 1 ° C, 500 ml of solution was taken for each experiment. Purification of each solution was carried out three times: the first experiment in accordance with the requirements of the patent of the Russian Federation No.2010013, the second and third experiments by the proposed method. The amount of introduced milk of lime (in terms of calcium oxide) in the first stage of purification for all experiments on the prototype was 2.75 g CaO, and according to the proposed method 2.85 g CaO. In the experiments of the prototype in the second stage, 25 ml of 10% Na 2 CO 3 were added, the solution was stirred for 15 minutes and filtered. According to the proposed method, before the second stage of purification, the precipitate was filtered off, and 1.65 g of barium carbonate were added to the filtrate, and the suspension was kept under stirring for 8 hours. After completion of the second stage of purification, the solutions were filtered from the precipitate and analyzed for the content of the metal to be purified, mg / L (first row of the table), total residual salt content, g / L (dry residue - second row of the table) and the final pH value (third row tab.). The results of the analyzes are presented in table.
A significant difference in the total iron content for the proposed cleaning method, compared with the prototype, is explained by the fact that with prolonged stirring of the suspension with calcium carbonate, iron (II) oxidizes to iron (III) due to contact with air.
Using the proposed method allows you to clean acidic wastewater from sulfates of heavy metals below the MPC values and dramatically reduce the residual salt content in purified water below 0.2 g / l, which allows you to return the purified water to the production cycle.
