Abstract
Description
The invention relates to the oil, chemical and gas industry and can be used in the purification and separation of natural and petroleum gases.
Авторское свидетельство СССР №303485, F 25 J 3/08, 1971].A known method of purification of natural gas from harmful impurities, such as hydrogen sulfide using a hydrate formation process, carried out by contacting the cooled purified gas in the reactor with water, which is injected into the reactor. A mixture of purified gas and hydrates formed is sent to a separator, where they are separated [1. USSR author's certificate No. 303485, F 25 J 3/08, 1971].
The disadvantage of this method is the low cleaning performance due to the shallow degree of conversion of the gas to be purified into hydrate and the need for complex and energy-intensive equipment, including mixing devices, spray nozzles, high-pressure pumps.
Closest to the claimed method is a method of purification of natural gas from impurities, in which the gas to be cleaned is in contact with an adsorbent previously saturated with water [2. USSR Copyright Certificate No. 368873, B 01 D 53/02, 1973]. Corresponding thermobaric conditions are maintained in the reactor when the impurity components of natural gas propane, butane and hydrogen sulfide are converted into hydrates, and the purified gas is removed from the reactor.
The disadvantages of this method are the need for additional time-consuming and lengthy operations to pre-saturate the adsorbent with water, thoroughly clean it from impurities (so as not to "poison" the adsorbent), inefficient use of the working volume of the reactor due to the significant volume occupied by the sorbent material itself, and a lengthy process adsorbent dehydration to restore its properties. In addition, the delayed mass transfer process in the reactor does not provide a high rate of hydrate formation.
The technical challenge facing the invention is to increase the productivity and degree of purification of natural gas while reducing energy and capital costs per unit mass of gas to be purified.
The problem is solved in that in the proposed method for purifying natural gas from impurities, including contacting the purified natural gas in the reactor with an aqueous medium under initial thermobaric conditions characterized by a pressure that is higher than the equilibrium pressure of hydration for both methane, the main component of natural gas, and purified natural gas of the initial composition, and ensures the formation of both individual methane hydrates and mixed natural gas hydrates enriched with impurities components, for example, hydrogen sulfide, propane and butane, after the first hydrates have precipitated, the hydration process is continued under conditions different from the initial ones, for which the initial pressure in the reactor is reduced to a value below the equilibrium methane hydration pressure, but above the equilibrium hydration pressure for the natural gas to be purified, at this as an aqueous medium using an aqueous solution of surfactants.
Благодаря осуществлению процесса гидратообразования в интервале Р-Т между кривыми равновесия для чистого метана и газа исходного состава достигается необходимая степень очистки и снижения потерь очищаемого газа (метана).Changes in thermobaric conditions immediately after the first gas hydrates have precipitated contribute to the fact that mixed hydrates are formed from the aqueous solution and the gas to be cleaned, which contain impurity gas molecules from which natural gas is purified and pure methane hydrates are not formed. Due to the hydrate formation process in the PT interval between equilibrium curves for pure methane and a gas of the initial composition, the required degree of purification and reduction of losses of the gas to be purified (methane) are achieved.
The use of an aqueous surfactant solution as a hydrate-forming medium allows one to increase the rate of hydrate formation, increase the efficiency of using a hydrate-forming medium, increase the useful volume of the reactor, and thereby significantly reduce the total cost of cleaning a unit volume of the gas to be purified.
The process is continued until the hydrate-forming medium (aqueous surfactant solution) is completely converted to gas hydrate, as judged by the cessation of pressure reduction in the system.
After completion of the hydrate formation process, the purified gas is removed as quickly as possible to prevent premature dehydration from the reactor to the storage tank, and then the accumulated gas hydrates are dehydrated by increasing the temperature in the reactor. Gases released from hydrates are discharged to an additional storage tank. After dehydration is complete, the reactor is ready for hydrate formation with a new portion of the gas to be purified.
The set of essential features characterizing the essence of the invention can be repeatedly used in the natural gas purification technology to obtain a technical result consisting in the effective, safe operation of devices with a higher productivity involved in this method.
To implement the method, after a certain modernization, a known device, a reactor, can be used [3. RF patent No. 2166348, 01 D 9/00, 2001], made in the form of a sealed enclosure placed in a thermostat-refrigerator, equipped with pressure and temperature sensors and devices for supplying working agents, and vertical plates are placed in the enclosure along the entire height.
According to the invention, a natural gas purification device comprising a thermostatically controlled reactor with a raw natural gas supply line and pressure and temperature control devices is further provided with lines for removing purified gas and impurity gases and a bypass line for repeatedly circulating the purified gas through the reactor, where it is in contact with an aqueous solution of surfactant.
The invention is illustrated by drawings, where figure 1 schematically shows two devices for purification of natural gas, which to ensure the continuity of the process are connected in parallel to one supply line of the purified gas; figure 2 - curve A is the equilibrium hydrate formation curve of methane, and curve B is the equilibrium hydrate formation curve of the purified natural gas.
The essence of the proposed method can be considered on the example of natural gas purification in laboratory conditions.
1.A hydrate-forming medium was prepared in an amount of 125 ml in the form of an aqueous solution with a content of 0.05% by weight of a surfactant, sulfonol being used. This solution was poured into a thermostated reactor, into which natural gas from the Urengoy field was then fed. The gas composition is shown in table 1.
точку "а" на фиг.2).Thermobaric conditions have been created in the reactor that differ from the equilibrium ones for pure methane hydrate with a pressure supersaturation γ = P / P o = 1.2-1.3, namely, at T = 275 K, the pressure in the reactor is P = 3.6-3, 9 MPa (see point "a" in figure 2).
After 1.5 hours, the first crystalline hydrates appeared in the reactor, which was recorded by a decrease in pressure and a slight increase in temperature, and the system entered the state corresponding to point “b”. Immediately after that, the pressure in the reactor was quickly reduced to a value of P = 2.0 MPa at point “c” and, at a temperature of T = 275.5 K, which was established at that temperature, gas production was continued by purging gas while maintaining the pressure in the reactor above the equilibrium hydrate pressure gas of purified composition and below the equilibrium pressure of hydrate formation for pure methane.
The process was conducted until the moment when the pressure in the reactor stabilized at a value of P = 1.9 MPa and no longer decreased. This indicated that the entire hydrate-forming medium (aqueous surfactant solution) was converted into gas hydrate crystals, and further production of gas hydrates stopped. After that, the purified gas was quickly taken from the reactor to the sampler, and then, increasing the temperature in the reactor to 293K, the hydrates were dehydrated until they were completely decomposed. The resulting gas phase was taken into a separate tank.
1.The analysis of the purified gas is shown in table 1.
5.A device for industrial purification of natural gas consists of a thermostatically controlled reactor 1, to which a line 2 for supplying untreated natural gas, a line 3 for removing purified natural gas, a line 4 for removing impurity gases, and a circulation line 5 are connected.
Compressors 6, 7 and 8 are installed in lines 3 and 4 for the removal of purified gas and impurity gases, as well as in circulation line 5, respectively.
11.The reactor is equipped with devices for monitoring pressure and temperature - a manometer 9 and a
Для обеспечения непрерывности процесса одновременно могут быть использованы несколько однотипных устройств, параллельно подключенных к линии подачи очищаемого газа (на чертеже показаны реакторы 1 и 12).To ensure the continuity of the process, several devices of the same type can be used simultaneously, connected in parallel to the supply line of the gas to be cleaned (reactors 1 and 12 are shown in the drawing).
The device operates as follows.
13.An aqueous surfactant solution of the required concentration and in the amount necessary to produce gas hydrate in a volume equal to the volume of the reactor is completely poured into reactor 1 (and into reactor 12) when the hydrate-forming medium is completely converted to gas hydrate. The aqueous surfactant solution is cooled to a predetermined operating temperature and the reactor 1 and the circulation line 5 are evacuated through a tap 13.
10.From line 2 through the shut-off valve 14, the flow meter 15 and the valve 16 (with the
11.After filling the reactor, the valve 14 is closed. Using a low-consumption compressor 8 installed in the circulation line 5, the gas is circulated through the reactor volume. In this case, the gas in the reactor is in contact with an aqueous surfactant solution under the given thermobaric conditions of hydrate formation. After some time, both visually through the inspection windows, and by the change in pressure and temperature, the start of gas hydrate production in the reactor volume on the plates 11 is recorded.
Immediately after this, the working pressure in the reactor is reduced to a value below the equilibrium hydrate pressure of pure methane at a given operating temperature, but above the equilibrium pressure of the formation of mixed hydrates of a given gas composition. Through the valve 14, natural gas begins to be supplied to the reactor in an amount equal to its decrease due to hydrate formation, maintaining the pressure at a new predetermined level and preventing the temperature of the system from rising above equilibrium (by pumping refrigerant through the jacket of the reactor).
Since, under the conditions created in the reactor, impurity gases will accumulate mainly in the hydrated phase, then, as hydrate formation proceeds in the gas to be purified, the methane concentration will increase. The presence of a surfactant in a hydrate-forming medium can increase the rate of hydrate production and the degree of conversion of water to hydrate. Hydrates are formed in the form of finely dispersed crystals without additional, labor-intensive technological operations, for example, mixing. At the same time, the working volume of the reactor is used as efficiently as possible, since hydrate production occurs on the surfaces of the plates inside the reactor in its entire volume.
The moment of completion of hydrate formation and gas purification is judged by the termination of the pressure drop in the reactor, after which the cleaned portion of the gas (with closed valves 14 and 16 and
After pumping the purified gas from the reactor 1 to the tank 19, the remaining hydrates are subjected to dehydration, for which they increase the temperature in the reactor and pump the resulting gas into the tank 23 with the valve 18 open (valve 17 closed) and the compressor 7 working until hydrates are completely decomposed. The remaining aqueous surfactant solution is then used to purify a new portion of natural gas. Alternating hydration and dehydration operations, alternately either in reactor 1 or in reactor 12, provide a continuous process for purifying natural gas.
