Abstract

FIELD: stationary radio communications engineering.
SUBSTANCE: proposed stationary broadband digital radio access system has base station incorporating antenna with circular or sector-shaped directivity pattern and subscriber stations with highly directive antennas oriented at base station; newly introduced in base station is power splitter; newly introduced in system are directional antennas using two orthogonal polarizations; output of base-station broadband transmitter is connected to input of power splitter and outputs of the latter, to directional antennas; one output of power splitter is connected to nondirectional antenna through inputs of antenna polarization selectors chosen for transmission; introduced in base station is also received-signal adder whose inputs are connected to respective outputs of antenna polarization selectors; adder output is connected to receiver input; base-station directional antenna and circularly directive antenna are cophasal in same direction.
EFFECT: enhanced operating range of equipment, reliability, and economic efficiency.
