Abstract
Description
The invention relates to methods for manufacturing deleted models in investment casting and can be used in the engineering industry of the national economy.
A known method of manufacturing porous lost wax models, i.e. deleted models from pasty model material [Lost wax casting / B.N. Ivanov, S.A. Kuzennov, B.S. Kurchman et al .; under the general. ed. ME AND. Shklennika, V.A. Ozerova. - 3rd ed., Revised. and add. - M.: Mechanical Engineering, 1984. S. 133-136]. Pasty model materials are prepared by cooling the melt while continuously mixing it to a paste state. During the mixing of the model material, air is kneaded, the content of which is regulated by 20%. For the manufacture of models, a paste-like model material of strictly regulated temperature is used, which is fed under pressure into the cavity of the mold.
The mold cooled in the mold is used to make shell molds.
The considered method has several disadvantages. In the manufacture of models, an uncontrolled distribution of air over its volume is observed, which leads to the formation of surface defects and underfilling. The concentration of air, especially in the thin parts of the model, leads to its destruction when removed from the mold. Changes in the storage temperature of the deleted models leads to a distortion of their geometric shape, for example, to swelling or the formation of sagging. The distortion of the geometric shape of the models is also observed when they solidify in the mold, which requires strict observance of technological parameters, such as process temperature and model formation pressure.
Models made by the considered method have an effect on the appearance of marriage of shell forms.
Removing the model from the shell mold is accompanied by thermal expansion of the model material and air blocked in the structure of the model. Since the process of heating the shell occurs non-uniformly, pressures from thermal expansion exceeding the permissible values develop in zones farthest from the gate funnel, which leads to the formation of cracks in the shell structure and, in some cases, to their destruction. In this case, air concentrated in one place cannot compensate for temperature deformations of the model.
Under the influence of pressure, the melt of the model material penetrates the structure of the shell mold, has a proppant effect during heat treatment of the shell, significantly reducing its strength.
The closest in technical essence and the achieved result is a method of manufacturing investment models from fusible compositions based on paraffin, ceresin, polyethylene or brown coal waxes, including melting the model composition, intensively mixing the melt in a sealed container, cooled outside with running water, and pressing the pasty composition with t 52-56 ° C into the mold, into the melt of the model composition at 60-65 ° C, powder of the same composition is introduced with a temperature of ± 10 ° C, fractions of 0.1-1.0 mm, do not stop I have an intense mixing of the melt [A. 1687358, publ. 10/30/91]. This allows you to intensify the process of cooling the melt of the composition, to provide a more uniform distribution of porosity throughout the volume of the manufactured model and increase the productivity of manufacturing models with a finely divided structure. The implementation of the invention allows to reduce the marriage of models for weights and swellings.
However, the prototype method under consideration for manufacturing investment casting has a number of disadvantages that impede the desired technical result.
When implementing the prototype method, strict control over compliance with the temperature regime for the manufacture and storage of models is required. The production of models is accompanied by the appearance of defects in underfillings resulting from backpressure of air in the mold cavity; weights and warpage resulting from shrinkage processes during hardening and cooling of a multicomponent model material having a wide crystallization interval. There is a possibility of violation of dimensional and geometric accuracy of the models from bloating or pulling when storage conditions are not observed. The production of models is accompanied by the formation of uncontrolled closed porosity, which does not compensate for the thermal expansion of the model until it melts when removed from the shell mold.
These and other disadvantages are eliminated by the proposed technical solution.
The essence of the invention lies in the fact that it is proposed to produce removable models by cold pressing of a boric acid powder (H 3 BO 3 ) clad in a model composition with a fraction of 0.01-0.3 mm in the ratio, by volume: model composition - 10-65%; boric acid - 35-90%, when they are dosed directly into the mold, ensuring the manufacture of models with 3-10% open porosity, by combining the surfaces of the connectors (clamping) of the mold.
Signs characterizing the invention.
Restrictive: a method of manufacturing deleted models involves the use of a powdery model material.
Distinctive: as a model material, powder is used, plated with a model composition of boric acid (H 3 BO 3 ) of a fraction of 0.01-0.3 mm in the ratio, by volume: model composition - 10-65%; boric acid - 35-90%, the material is dosed into the mold in an amount that ensures the removal of removable models with 3-10% porosity, the manufacture of which is carried out by pressing the powder of the model material without pre-heating, by combining the surfaces of the connectors (closing) of the mold.
A causal relationship between the essential features and the technical solution achieved is achieved through the ability of the powder clad by the model composition to sinter boric acid when pressed practically without the formation of a liquid phase and, as a result, without phase deformation processes with the formation of open capillary porosity, which allows to reduce rejects in the manufacture of models , increase their dimensional and geometric accuracy, increase the strength of shell forms and reduce their loss during removal and annealing models, improve the surface quality of castings and their accuracy.
The implementation of the proposed technical solution is as follows.
The boric acid powder (H 3 BO 3 ) of the 0.01-0.3 mm fraction is hot clad in a model composition, for example, PS 50-50 [Lost wax casting / B.N. Ivanov, S.A. Kuzennov, B.S. Kurchman et al .; under the general. ed. ME AND. Shklennika, V.A. Ozerova. - 3rd ed., Revised. and add. - M .: Mechanical Engineering, 1984. S. 133-136], in the recommended proportions. The granules thus obtained are plated with a model composition of boric acid and are metered into the mold in an amount that ensures removal of models with 3-10% porosity. The material placed in the mold is pressed by combining (closing) the movable elements of the mold. After pressing, the mold opens, the model is removed using pushers.
The problem solved by the claimed method for manufacturing investment castings is to increase the dimensional and geometric accuracy of the resulting models and castings and the physicomechanical properties of shell molds.
The manufacture of deleted models by the proposed method has several advantages over existing methods. Completely eliminated the marriage of models in their manufacture. Coming in a certain amount (to ensure 3-10% porosity of the models) in the mold model powdery material is evenly distributed over its volume. When pressing (closing the mold), the material fills all the undercuts and cavities of the mold, preventing underfilling, because air is removed from the mold. The surface quality of the models obtained by this method corresponds to the surface quality of the molds and has a characteristic specular gloss.
The foregoing is true for a fraction of 0.01-0.3 mm clad with a boric acid powder (H 3 BO 3 ) clad by a model composition. When using a larger fraction, the destruction of granules of boric acid and a cladding shell on the surface of the models is observed with the formation of surface defects in the form of crevices, a smaller one is accompanied by clumping, which complicates the introduction of the material into the mold.
Using the model composition of the recommended percentage is determined by the quality of the resulting models. An increase in the percentage of the model composition during cladding leads to a deterioration in the strength properties of the model, a decrease leads to a decrease in the surface quality of the latter.
Dosing of powdered model material into the mold in smaller quantities, providing models with a porosity of more than 10%, leads to a decrease in the physicomechanical properties of models, and in large ones providing models with a porosity of less than 3%, technologically (for these pressing conditions) not feasible.
The process of removing models obtained by the claimed method from shell forms in hot water is accompanied by an initial melting of the cladding shell of boric acid granules with their subsequent dissolution, which leads to volume reduction of the models during melting. When heated, expanding air is removed from the model through the shell form through the open porosity of its structure. The resulting liquid phase of the model material is absorbed into the model under the action of capillary forces, the temperature expansion of the model is compensated by porosity and voids formed as a result of the dissolution of boric acid granules.
Based on the foregoing, the model does not exert a force effect on the shell mold, and the melted part does not impregnate it, and the soluble part impregnates it, which makes it possible to increase the strength of the shells before and after calcination by 20-60%, reduce their losses, improve the quality of castings in terms of surface cleanliness and accuracy.
The industrial applicability of the developed method for manufacturing investment castings is determined by: reducing the cost of preparing a model composition; simplicity of the technological operation of manufacturing models; a significant reduction, and in some cases, the complete abolition of marriage in the manufacture of models; the complete abolition of marriage of shell forms during the removal of models, as well as at the stage of their formation, by increasing their dimensional and geometric accuracy, strength properties after calcination; increasing the dimensional and geometric accuracy of castings, their surface quality, which leads to a significant reduction in the cost of machining.
