Description
The utility model relates to the field of technical means for simulating a nuclear explosion and can be used as a device for visually simulating the visual signs of a ground-based nuclear explosion - the impact (sound) effect, light flash and dust mushroom cloud of the explosion.
The purpose of the proposed utility model is to be able to reproduce external signs of the use of nuclear weapons (sound effect, flash, swirling mushroom-shaped dust cloud) during practical training sessions on assessing the radiation situation, and also a simulator of a ground-based nuclear explosion can be used during practical training of personnel on determining the parameters of a nuclear explosion and the use of individual means and methods of protection at the time of a nuclear explosion.
The IU-59 nuclear explosion simulator is known, which is designed to simulate a ground-based nuclear explosion, and consists of a projectile, a mortar, an expelling charge, a wad, a control line and a current source. The projectile is a plywood tube equipped with an explosive charge of TNT blocks and a pyrotechnic composition. The projectile has a bottom and a cover made of wood. The cover has two ignition sockets for installing two delayed-action electric detonators. The nests are closed with plugs. To secure the electric detonators on the lid there is a lock in the form of a rotating bar, pressed with a screw.
However, the presence of a negative feature of the IU-59, such as installation on the ground, caused its low safety due to the possibility of capsizing before and at the moment of operation; in addition, at present this sample (IU-59) is obsolete, is not produced by industrial enterprises, and the existing in the warehouses of military units, the samples have exhausted their technical life and are strictly prohibited for use.
Also known is the IAB-500 imitation aerial bomb [2], which is designed to simulate the combat use of special RN-24 ammunition (an aerial bomb with a nuclear warhead) and reproduces only the light flash of an airborne nuclear explosion. The simulation of an airborne nuclear explosion using the IAB-500 is intended only for tactical aviation exercises to practice nuclear bombing techniques.
The disadvantage of the IAB-500 is that this model was developed only for front-line aviation; for this reason, conducting practical exercises to train military units for radiation, chemical and biological reconnaissance was not economically feasible, since it required costs many times greater than the result obtained. In addition, the IAB-500 model was withdrawn from service in 1984 and is no longer produced by industrial enterprises.
The purpose of the utility model is to eliminate the above-mentioned shortcomings, simplify and unify the design of the simulator, reproduce a visual simulation of a ground-based nuclear explosion, train ground reconnaissance agencies to determine the parameters and detect the epicenter of a nuclear explosion, as well as improve the quality of training of the Ground Forces for combat operations in conditions of the use of nuclear weapons .
(11).To achieve this goal, the proposed simulator of a ground nuclear explosion is used (Fig.). The design of a ground-based nuclear explosion simulator (Fig.) includes: a mortar installed in the ground (1), which is designed to disperse the fuel mixture and form a fuel-air-dust mixture; a cardboard ring (2), which acts as a chamber, which is necessary to reduce the explosive load on the mortar channel at the moment of ignition of the expelling and ignition charge; expelling and ignition charge (3), which is a plastic bag with a pyrotechnic electric igniter (4) and black black powder placed in it; wad (5), which serves to prevent gas breakthrough at the initial moment of ejection of the fuel mixture and mortar; carrying holes (6), into which carabiners and a belt are installed, used for carrying and installing the mortar into the hole; electric main (7), which ensures the transmission of a current pulse from the pyrotechnic console (8) to the electric igniter (4); fuel mixture (9); cardboard gasket (10) and dust mixture (11).
Thus, the design of the simulator, a method for simulating a ground-based nuclear explosion, allows one to reproduce visual external signs of the enemy’s use of nuclear weapons (sound effect, flash, swirling mushroom-shaped dust cloud) during practical training sessions on tactical training, determining the parameters of a nuclear explosion, assessing the radiation situation on the ground , as well as for training personnel in the use of individual means and methods of protection during a nuclear explosion.
