Abstract
Description
The invention relates to the field of rocketry, and in particular to the additional charges of ballistic solid fuel, in particular to the field of creating armor compounds.
The designs of ballistic solid fuel shells, armored over specific surfaces, are widely used in rocketry, especially for active reactive systems (ARS) engines, anti-tank guided missiles (PTUPC), etc. The main distinguishing feature of such products is the extreme level of flight overloads, acting on the charge during the flight of the rocket (projectile), and therefore, high voltage in the charge at the contact point of the end (pre-nozzle) surface with the support grid ( phragma).
293). Cylindrical fixed charges of solid fuel, armored on the outer surface and ends, are known and widely used in rocket technology (see, for example, Fig. 29.56 of the book by V.E. Tishin "Theory of rocket engines", M., Mechanical Engineering, 1989, p. 328; Fig. 10.16 of A.M. Vinitsky’s book “Solid propellant rocket engines”, M., Mechanical Engineering, 1973, p. 293).
Known solid fuel charge for a rocket engine according to patent RU 2164616 from 01.11.1999, consisting of a powder bomb with a layer of cellulose acetate armor coating on it and a shielding layer of synthetic glue.
Known heat-insulating material according to patent RU 2142596 from 11/30/1998, designed to protect various objects from powerful thermal effects, including open flame. The disadvantages of this heat-insulating material are its low mechanical and thermophysical characteristics.
The choice of the method of applying the armored composition to the charge, the content of its initial components, the curing and polymerization of the composition are determined by the variety of plug-in charges, fuel grades, ballistic, operational, technological, and also, in some cases, special requirements. In addition, the armor plating should have a high level of reliability during the entire period of the warranty period of storage and operation of the charge.
The closest in technical essence to the present invention is the armor composition according to patent RU 2179989 of 02/05/2001, containing: filler - cellulose acetate, plasticizer-O-acetyl triethyl citrate, heat resistance stabilizer - -β- (2,4-dinitrophenoxy) ethanol, smokeless additive - hydrazodicarbonamide .
This armor is thermoplastic, has a low smoke generation and can be used to book ballistic fuel insert charges for guided missiles by injection molding. Along with high manufacturability and enhanced performance characteristics, the armored composition deposited on a charge of ballistic fuel has several disadvantages:
1. With a wide temperature range of operation and combat use from minus 60 o C to 60 o C at the fuel-armor plating interface, there are always processes of mass transfer of chemically unrelated components in the formulations of fuel and armor plating, for example, migration of nitroglycerin from fuel to armor plating and plasticizers from armor plating to fuel, which worsens the properties of fuel and armor plating (the burning rate of fuel decreases, the strength of armor plating decreases, its thermal protection ability deteriorates significantly due to the increase oryuchesti et al.). As a result, the reliability of the charge as a whole decreases.
2. To exclude (suppress) the migration of components between the fuel and the reservation, a shielding sublayer is applied, which requires the introduction of additional technological operations.
3. For engines of active-reactive systems (ARS) and ATGM, experiencing high flight overloads, and consequently, high axial and tangential stresses in the charge at the contact point of the end (pre-nozzle) surface with the support grid, use armor coatings with sufficient stiffness and a lower elastic modulus , which is a function of the number of cross-links and determines the level of stresses in the armored charge.
The objective of the invention is the creation of an armored train with low migration properties of chemically unrelated components, high mechanical and thermophysical characteristics, for charges of ballistic solid fuel ARS and ATGM, experiencing high flight overloads and thermal loads.

Armor plating is prepared as follows:
loose components are first crushed (cellulose nitrate, boric acid, chrysotile asbestos, iron minium), then dimethyl diphenylurea is dissolved in a plasticizer at a temperature of 60 ... 90 o С for 10 ... 20 min. After that, crushed bulk solids are mixed in a solution of dimethyldiphenylurea in a plasticizer for 10 ... 15 min at a temperature of not more than 35 o C (until a homogeneous loose crumb is obtained). Then the prepared mass (armored) in the form of loose crumb is rolled on rollers to a predetermined thickness of the armor coating.
The armor coating made in this way is subsequently used to stick blanks of a certain shape on the ends of the charges with nitrocellulose based adhesives.
Table 1 presents examples of manufactured and tested armor plating samples with different component contents.
In the table. 2 presents the standard mechanical and thermophysical characteristics of the manufactured samples in comparison with armor plating - the prototype and with standard fuel at a temperature of 20 o C.
From the table. 1, 2 it can be seen that a plasticizer content of more than 30% leads to a decrease in the strength characteristics of armor plating and an increase in the migration of plasticizers from the armor composition to fuel, and less than 21% to an increase in brittleness (increase in elastic modulus).
The effect of increasing the thermophysical characteristics is achieved by introducing boric acid H 3 VO 3 into the composition of the armor coating as a flame retardant - fire resistance stabilizer.
From the table. 1, 2 it is also seen that the content of boric acid within 26 ... .30% ensures high fire resistance of the armor composition (low thermal conductivity and thermal diffusivity).
From the table. Figure 2 also shows that the elastic modulus of the patented armored coating is an order of magnitude lower than the elastic modulus of regular fuel and lower than the elastic modulus of the armored prototype, which helps to create cross-links in the armored coating during storage and to reduce stresses in the charge plate during operation.
The technical result of the patented invention is to reduce the migration of chemically unrelated components at the "fuel barrier" border, achieving high mechanical and thermal characteristics, which is confirmed by full-scale fire tests of the charges in the engine.
