Abstract
Description
The invention relates to the field of agriculture and can be used in vegetable growing in the preparation of seeds and seedlings.
74/. A known method of treating seeds with biologically active substances, which use polyethylene glycogen 6000 / PEG 6000 / having a high molecular weight / P. F. Kononkov, V.N. Gubkin. Increased field germination of vegetable seeds. M .: Rosselkhozizdat, 1986, p. 74 /.
The known method is used in an aqueous solution at a certain temperature, strict exposure to concentration and continuous processing. A deficiency of a foreign drug precludes its mass use.
01 N 37/18, 1999/. As a prototype method of the proposed technical solution is the treatment of seeds with a biologically active substance - sorbic acid amide in a certain concentration / RF patent 2056106, A 01 N 37/18, 1999 /.
The disadvantages of this method include the chemical activity of the amide group. Pre-soaking the seeds without sufficient exposure prevents the substance from penetrating deeper into the embryo. By activating germination, the drug simultaneously inhibits enzymes, which reduces the viability and resistance to diseases of young seedlings.
The OBJECT of the INVENTION is to increase the viability and resistance to disease of young vegetable seedlings, expanding the range of stimulants.
0,01-0,1%.This goal is achieved by the fact that as a biologically active substance is used para-aminobenzoic acid / PABA /, which is pre-dissolved in hot water at a temperature of 60-80 o With bringing the solution to a concentration of 0.01-0.05% and exposure in it seeds for 12-24 hours, followed by seedling treatment with a solution of PABA in the same concentration with the addition of potassium permanganate in a concentration of 0.02-0.1% or boric acid 0.01-0.1%.
The method is as follows.
Seeds are treated with an aqueous solution of PABA at an exposure of 12-24 hours and a concentration of 0.01-0.05%. Pre-dissolved PABA in hot water 60-80 o C.
PABA is a non-toxic compound, phenotypic activator, has reparagenic and antimutagenic properties. PABA / molecular weight 137.14 / - vitamin H * from group B 1 , refers to amino acids, is part of folic acid, is involved in the synthesis of purines. PABA does not change the genotype of plants; it favorably affects the biological potential of plants and its phenotype.
PABA is a fine crystalline powder, slightly soluble in cold water. Therefore, to implement the method, the powder is pre-dissolved in hot water at a temperature of 60-80 o C / mother liquor / for the most complete dissolution of the crystals, then water is added at ambient temperature to the desired volume / working solution /. At higher temperatures, partial decomposition of PABA occurs.
When picking seedlings, PABA is treated at the same concentration, adding a weak solution of / 0.02-0.1% / potassium manganese acid or / 0.01-0.1% / boric acid.
The selected parameters of boric acid and potassium permanganate are explained by the optimal norms required for fungicidal action as micronutrient supplements necessary for the normal development of seedlings.
0,02%.EXAMPLE 1. Before preparing the working solution, PABA powder in an amount of 1 g is dissolved in 1 liter of hot water / 60-80 o C /, then add 9 liters of water / ambient temperature 16-18 o C /. It turns out the concentration of the working solution is 0.01%, and the initial one is the mother liquor 0.1%. Such an amount of an aqueous solution is sufficient to process the hectare norm of vegetable seeds. In this example, it is 2-3 kg of tomato seeds. Seeds were kept in working solution for 12 hours. After drying to a state of flowability, the seeds were sown in the soil. When 4-5 leaves appeared, boxes with seedlings were watered with a solution of the same concentration as the seeds, but potassium permanganate was added to the solution at a concentration of 0.02%.
EXAMPLE 2. A solution of PABA in hot water was prepared, as in the first example, from the calculation of 50 mg of dry powder per 1 liter of water / concentration of 0.05% /, i.e. below the proposed option. 9 liters of cold water were added. In the total volume of the solution, 6-8 kg of cucumber seeds / hectare norm / were soaked. Seeds were kept in solution for 18 hours. When transplanting seedlings from a plant box, they were treated with a solution of the same concentration with the addition of 0.01% boric acid.
EXAMPLE 3. Solutions were prepared according to the first and second examples, but the solution was prepared at a concentration of 0.05%, i.e. 5 g of dry PABA powder were taken per 10 liters of water. Cucumber seeds were kept in solution for 24 hours. When processing seedlings, 0.1% boric acid was added to the same solution.
The studied vegetable crops observed an additional effect: high adaptation in adverse weather conditions. The results of the experiments on productivity are summarized in table.
In the studied crops, the germination rate and germination energy are increased by 3-10%, the incidence of plants is reduced by 30-40% / in tomatoes - late blight, in cucumbers - downy mildew /.
Thus, the new drug increases the yield of vegetable crops, increases their viability, reduces the incidence of diseases. At the same time, the range of means of stimulating plant development is expanding.
