Abstract
Description
The invention relates to ferrous metallurgy and can be used to produce aluminum by electrolysis.
101-105). In aluminum electrometallurgy, electrolyzers with fired and self-fired anodes (OA and CA) are used. The latter can have a lateral and upper current supply to the anode (BT and VT). It is known that electrolyzers with SA have a significantly higher energy consumption than baths with OA. Electrolyzers with VT are characterized by a particularly high energy consumption, in which it is approximately 3000 kW • h / t higher than in the case of OA. One of the main reasons for this is the low quality and high electrical resistance of the anode (M.M. Vetyukov et al. Electrometallurgy of aluminum and magnesium, M .: Metallurgy, 1987, pp. 101-105).
The objective of the invention is to increase the uniformity of the current supply, reducing the horizontal components of the current and the ohmic resistance of the anode assembly.
The technical result of the invention is to reduce the electrical resistance of the anode without introducing additional structural metal elements into the carbon part of the anode.
The technical result is achieved by the fact that in the current supply to the self-burning anode of an aluminum electrolyzer, enclosed in a steel casing with the help of pins baked into the anode, the anode casing is equipped with shunts made in the form of packets of flexible descents, and connected with them to the anode busbar in parallel with the pins.
1. Figure 1 shows a section of the proposed current supply to the anode of the electrolytic cell with VT. Here 1 is the anode enclosed in a
The anode casing is equipped with shunts made in the form of packets of flexible anode slopes 7, and with their help is included in the electrical circuit. These shunts 7 connect the
11. To improve the contact of the
Calculations show that for typical electrolyzers with 155-160 kA VT, widely used in Russian factories, the ohmic resistance of the pins is about 87 • 10 -8 Ohm with a resistance of the serial anode jacket of ≈133 • 10 -8 Ohm and the resistance of a reinforced shirt with a bimetal upper part 58 • 10 -8 Ohm. The current through the jacket in the presence of good contact with the anode can reach 60 kA or more. As a result of introducing additional powerful conductors into the circuit of the anode assembly and a more uniform current distribution over the anode, the calculated voltage drop in it decreases by 150 mV or more. This is equivalent to a reduction in energy consumption of 500-550 kW • h / t of metal.
