Abstract
Description
The invention relates to medicine, in particular to traumatology, and can be used in the treatment of cold injury.
[1]. Known methods of treating cold injury with the use of drugs [1].
The disadvantage of such drug therapy regimens is the lack of antioxidant and antihypoxic drugs in their composition.
It is known to use the drug isothiorbamine (TB-6) for the treatment of glaucoma [2] and for the prevention and treatment of hypoxic conditions with periodic general cooling of the body [3]. However, isothiorbamine has not been used to treat acute cold injury.
The purpose of the invention is to reduce the time and improve the results of treatment of patients with severe forms of frostbite. A method for treating cold injury with isothiorbamine is proposed.
The method is as follows.
In the pre-reactive and early reactive period, victims of local cold trauma, along with traditional drug therapy, are prescribed isothiorbamine in a dosage of 0.25 g per os twice a day (morning and evening) for 10 days. Then, a week-long break is taken in taking the drug, after which the administration of isothiorbamine is resumed for another 10 days.
The treatment results were evaluated by the duration of bleeding, the concentration of fibrinogen, the fibrinolytic activity of blood serum, as well as by the content of alkaline phosphatase in the blood of the victims.
After the start of taking isothiorbamine, the victims noted a decrease in pain intensity for 3-4 days, the swelling of the hands and feet did not increase, the patients were more active, and their well-being was noted. Duration of patients in the hospital decreased on average by 7-9 bed days.
Example. Patient P. Was admitted with a diagnosis of frostbite of the hands and feet of the III degree. early reactive period. Against the background of traditional treatment, isothiorbamine (TB-6) was administered at a dose of 0.25 g per os, twice a day for 10 days, then after a week's break, the drug was continued for another 10 days. On the second day after admission, the victim noted a decrease in pain intensity, swelling of the hands and feet remained moderate and did not increase. The patient's well-being for the entire time of treatment remained satisfactory. From the 1st to the 10th day in biochemical blood tests, an increase in the content of alkaline phosphatase was noted by 31%, on the 27th day of treatment - by 28.7%. The indicators of the blood coagulation system and fibrinolysis system returned to normal on the 17th day. The wounds healed independently on the 25th day of treatment, the patient was discharged from the hospital on the 28th day from the time of admission.
