Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a method for processing oxidized copper ores, mixed sulfide-oxidized copper ores, as well as intermediate products, dump tailings and slags containing oxidized copper compounds.
Known methods for the extraction of copper from copper-containing materials, including leaching, separation of the liquid phase of the leaching and solid residue and extraction (US 5895633 A1, B 03 D 11/00, 04/20/99).
The disadvantage of this method is the incomplete extraction of copper, since the solid residue is not subjected to further processing.
DE 2602849 В1, С 22 В 3/02, 30.12.80). There are also known methods for the production of metals, which consist in grinding the starting material to a grain size exceeding the grain size required for flotation, followed by the addition of sulfuric acid and leaching in the presence of iron grinding bodies, followed by the direction of solid residues for flotation of copper deposited on iron bodies (see DE 2602849 B1, C 22 V 3/02, 30.12.80).
The disadvantage of this method is its high cost in connection with the use of iron bodies, which, in turn, react with sulfuric acid, which increases the consumption of sulfuric acid and iron grinding bodies.
д. US 5919674, US 5895633, US 5403382, SU 1721106, RU 2149709, GB 1429490 и т.д.). A number of other methods for copper extraction and processing are known, including biooxidation, autoclave leaching, ammonia leaching, copper precipitation with iron scrap, etc. (see US 5919674, US 5895633, US 5403382, SU 1721106, RU 2149709, GB 1429490, etc.).
All of them have various shortcomings - either roads, or they extract metal incompletely, or environmentally harmful.
The closest in technical essence to the claimed method is a method for extracting copper from a copper-containing material, which consists in crushing and grinding the initial product, leaching (oxidizing) and obtaining copper from a leaching solution, as well as flotation (US 5795465 A, H O3 B 9/00, 08/18/98).
The disadvantage of this method is its inefficiency when using oxidized ores (it is intended for porphyry copper ores) and its environmental harmfulness (leaching is performed using ammonia).
The technical result of the claimed method is to increase the efficiency of copper extraction with improving the environmental cleanliness of the process.
For this, in the method for processing copper-containing products, which consists in crushing and grinding the initial product, leaching and extraction of copper from the leaching solution, as well as flotation, crushing and grinding of the initial product, they are made to the size of fractions exceeding the size of the fractions required for flotation, and after leaching, they are produced separation of the solid and liquid phases of the product with simultaneous washing with a portion of the extraction raffinate and water, while the solid phase of the product is crushed, followed by flotation, and the liquid this phase of the product is subjected to extraction with the release of the raffinate and the copper-containing extractant solution, while the raffinate is repeatedly used for leaching and washing.
Additional features of the method are that copper is re-extracted from the extractant solution and the regenerated extractant is used during extraction, and a pure copper-containing solution is subjected to electroextraction, after which the spent electrolyte is used during reextraction.
Also additional features of the method is that the extraction is carried out by contacting a copper-containing solution with an organic extractant of the cation exchange type.
8. The drawing shows a structural diagram of a method for processing copper-containing products. The method contains the following operations: crushing and grinding of the starting product 1, leaching 2, separation of solid and liquid phases 3, regrinding 4, flotation 5, extraction 6, reextraction 7, electroextraction 8.
The functioning of the method is as follows.
Crushing and grinding of the initial product (ore) is carried out to a particle size fraction greater than that necessary for flotation, which saves energy.
After this, sufficiently large fractions are subjected to leaching, adding an aqueous solution of sulfuric acid to them. In this case, a significant amount of readily soluble copper passes into the solution.
Next, the solid and liquid phases of the product are separated while first washing with a portion of the extraction raffinate and then with water, the liquid phase being a copper-containing sulfate solution.
Next, the liquid phase is subjected to extraction by contact with an organic extractant of the cation exchange type, which has a higher selectivity for copper than for other metals in the liquid phase. In this case, a copper-containing extractant solution with a high copper content and a raffinate with a high concentration of sulfuric acid and a low copper content are obtained.
This raffinate is repeatedly used for leaching and washing.
The solid phase is crushed to the size of the fractions needed for flotation, and flotation is carried out using collector reagents commonly used for flotation of sulfide minerals. Since the surface layer of the solid phase practically does not contain copper extracted during leaching, during flotation, only copper-containing fractions that are a copper concentrate used for further processing are quite easily separated.
The copper-containing extractant solution is subjected to reextraction with the release of a pure copper-containing sulfate solution and a regenerated organic extractant, which is used repeatedly during extraction.
Pure copper-containing sulfate solution is subjected to electroextraction with the release of cathode copper and spent electrolyte, which is used during reextraction.
Thus, the process of processing the liquid phase is almost cyclic, without emissions of harmful substances, and the process of processing the solid phase allows you to get dump tailings, practically free of copper.
EFFECT: invention makes it possible to extract copper from low-profitable deposits with a low copper content.
