Abstract
Description
The invention relates to the field of rocket technology and can be used to create adjustable rocket engines.
Currently, one of the main problems in creating liquid-propellant rocket engines with variable thrust is to obtain a high specific impulse at various engine operating modes. Traction control in such engines is performed by changing the flow rate of the fuel components through the nozzles of the mixing head. A decrease in the flow rate of the liquid component of the fuel leads to a quadratic decrease in the pressure drop across the nozzles, and gaseous - to a linear one. When the mode is less than the nominal, a change in the pressure drop across the nozzles leads to a deterioration of the conditions of mixture formation, a decrease in the completeness of fuel combustion, and, consequently, loss of specific impulse of thrust. In addition, at low engine operating modes, due to the low pressure drop across the nozzles, unstable combustion occurs in the combustion chamber.
Known coaxial-jet nozzle containing a tip in the form of a hollow cylinder connecting the cavity of one component with the cavity of the combustion chamber, a sleeve covering the tip with an annular gap and connecting the cavity of the other component with the cavity of the combustion chamber (V.E. Alemasov et al., " Theory of rocket engines ": Textbook of students of engineering specialties of universities, M., Mechanical Engineering, 1980, -533., Ill., Fig. 18.2, p. 225 - 226 - prototype).
In this nozzle, the oxidizing agent is fed into the combustion chamber through the axial channel inside the tip, and the fuel through the annular gap between the sleeve and the tip. Such a scheme for supplying fuel components does not allow changing the flow rate of the components through the nozzle over a wide range without significant deterioration in the quality of mixture formation, since the pressure drop across the nozzles along the liquid line changes quadratically when the flow rate changes. The decrease in the differential leads to a deterioration in the operating conditions of the nozzle and the occurrence of low-frequency instability. In addition, in the main mode, this feed circuit does not provide a high-quality atomization of components, which leads to a decrease in the coefficient of completeness of fuel combustion and, consequently, to the loss of specific impulse of thrust.
The objective of the invention is to increase the efficiency of the combustion chamber and the specific impulse of thrust in the nominal mode and in the throttling modes by providing better mixture formation.
The problem is achieved in that in the proposed coaxial-jet nozzle containing a tip in the form of a hollow cylinder connecting the cavity of one component with the cavity of the combustion chamber, a sleeve covering the tip with an annular gap and connecting the cavity of the other component with the cavity of the combustion chamber, the inner surface of the sleeve is made profiled in the form of cylindrical on surfaces of various diameters and lengths, forming at least one annular confuser, while the output section of the tip is located the wife at a distance equal to (0 ... 1.3) the inner diameter of the tip from the output section of the sleeve, and in the tip, in front of the annular confuser, at a distance from the output section of the sleeve equal to (1 ... 4) the internal diameter of the tip through channels connecting the cavity of the tip and the sleeve, the area of which is less than the area of the passage section of the tip.
A comparative analysis of the prototype and other known technical solutions in this field with the proposed technical solution showed that this set of features in the proposed device is unknown and applied for the first time. Thus, the technical solution meets the criteria of the invention of "Novelty."
Comparison with the prototype showed that this technical solution surpasses the achieved level of technology due to more complete mixing of the fuel components and a decrease in the characteristic size of the oxidizer jet at the nominal operating mode without significantly complicating the design of the nozzle and mixing head, and maintaining high-quality mixture formation at low engine operating modes, due to mixing of a larger (than in the nominal mode) part of the fuel components inside the nozzle tip and is not obvious to the average About a specialist in this field. Thus, the proposed technical solution meets the criteria of the invention "Inventive step".

1 - наконечник;
2 - осевой канал;
3 - втулка;
4 - конфузор;
The main elements of the proposed coaxial-jet nozzle are:
1 - tip;
2 - axial channel;
3 - sleeve;
4 - confuser;
5 - radial channels.
The proposed coaxial-jet nozzle contains a
The most optimal nozzle operating conditions are achieved if the output section of the tip is located at a distance equal to (0 ... 1.3) the inner diameter of the tip from the output section of the sleeve.
If this distance increases above the specified limit due to a sufficiently long contact of the components with the chamber ratio, a combustion process inside the nozzle is possible, which can lead to burnout of the nozzle material. With a decrease in the distance from the outlet cross section of the sleeve to the through channels of less than one tip diameter, the gas-dynamic effect of the gaseous fuel jets on the liquid oxidizer jet does not have the desired effect, and with an increase of more than four diameters, the combustion process of the fuel components inside the nozzle tip begins to take place, which leads to an increase temperature inside the tip with subsequent burnouts.
The passage area of the channels is greater than or equal to the passage area of the tip, leads to an excessive flow of the gaseous component inside the nozzle tip, and thus, the ratio of the components inside the tip will be more than sufficient to start the combustion process inside the tip, which leads to an increase in temperature inside the tip followed by burnouts.
The proposed nozzle operates as follows.
The oxidizing agent from the cavity of the oxidizing agent through the
Fuel from the fuel cavity through the annular channel between the
2. The jets of fuel coming through
Changing the shape of the oxidizer jet from round to star-shaped allows improving the conditions for the destruction of the jet, reducing the characteristic transverse size of the jet of oxidizing agent and increasing the perimeter of the contact of the oxidizing agent with fuel. Thus, at the exit from the tip, the oxidizer stream is more prone to loss of its integrity and decomposes faster. The specified impact on the jet improves the mixing conditions of the components in all modes, increases the specific thrust impulse by increasing the completeness of fuel combustion and reduces the possibility of unstable combustion.
4). The proposed nozzle design allows for additional resistance for the fuel components due to the additional interaction of the annular fuel stream with the decaying oxidizer stream inside the sleeve, starting from the point where the oxidizer stream exits the tip and both components exit the sleeve (Fig. 4).
Using the proposed technical solution will increase the specific thrust impulse, economy and ensure the stability of combustion in the combustion chamber at all engine operating modes.
