Abstract
Description
The invention relates to ferrous metallurgy and can be used in the processing of silver-containing zinc cakes.
A known method of processing zinc cakes, including high-temperature leaching, in which receive a solution and lead cake. 93-94% of zinc, cadmium, copper, 79% of iron are extracted into the solution, and lead, gold, and silver go almost completely into lead cake. The resulting lead cake is sent to lead production, where precious metals are extracted into a silver-silver alloy (see A. Snurnikov, Zinc hydrometallurgy. M: Metallurgy, 1981, p. 163-166). However, this method is characterized by the formation of difficult-to-filter precipitation, which is a problem of disposal of both lead and ferruginous cakes.
A widely known method of processing zinc cakes by rolling with the transfer of precious metals and copper to clinker. The clinker is processed at copper plants, and during primary smelting, noble metals turn into matte, and then when converting matte to blister copper (see A. Snurnikov, M. Zinc hydrometallurgy, Metallurgy, 1981, p. 313 and Gudima N .V., Shein J.P. Brief reference book on the metallurgy of non-ferrous metals., M., Metallurgy, 1975, pp. 117-136). The disadvantage of this method is the low content of copper and precious metals in clinker, which complicates their processing, and high losses of zinc with clinker due to the residual content of sulfide cake in zinc cakes.
59). The closest in technical essence and the achieved result is a method of processing zinc cakes containing silver, including flotation of cakes, roasting of a floc concentrate in an air atmosphere, high-temperature leaching of firing products in a solution of sulfuric acid and smelting (see Meretukov M.A. et al. Noble metallurgy Metals. Foreign experience, M.: Metallurgy, 1991, p. 257.2 paragraph (Fig. 59).
70-80%. The disadvantage of this method is the low extraction of silver in the Dore alloy due to the fact that when the calcined flotation concentrate is leached into the solution, silver passes only 70-80%.
The technical result is to increase the degree of extraction of silver.
The technical result is achieved by the fact that the method of processing zinc cakes containing silver includes flotation of cakes, firing of a floc concentrate in an air atmosphere at temperatures of 580-620 o C, two-stage high-temperature leaching of firing products in a solution of sulfuric acid with a concentration of chlorine of 0.3-1 g / l at a temperature of 93-97 o C and melting the residue to obtain a Dore alloy.
The proposed method is tested in laboratory conditions.
Tests have shown that when the firing temperature decreases below 580 o C and increases above 620 o C, the yield of the residue after high-temperature leaching directed to the smelting increases, increasing the unit cost of this operation and reducing the extraction of silver in the Dore alloy. Reducing the yield of solid silver-containing residue contributes to the conduct of sulfuric acid leaching in two stages at temperatures of 93-97 o C. When conducting high-temperature leaching with concentrations of chlorine in the solution of less than 300 mg / l decreases the extraction of silver in the solid residue sent for melting. The use of solutions with a concentration of more than 1 g / l of chlorine causes problems in their disposal. Only under the considered conditions of maintaining temperature ranges during firing, with two-stage leaching, the concentration of chlorine in the solution, a high extraction of silver into the solid residue is achieved, which comes to the smelting with its minimum yield.
The verification of the method is as follows.
76-80%. Zinc cakes were floated with the addition of a collector, butyl xanthate and a T-80 blowing agent (oxal). The output of the flotation concentrate was 4–5%, and the yield of flotation tailings directed to Waelzzia was 76–80%.
8-12%.The flotation concentrate was filtered to a moisture content of 25-35% and loaded into a muffle furnace. The duration of firing at a temperature of 580-620 o C in the air stream was 4 hours. The residual content of sulfide sulfur in the cinder did not exceed 0.5%, and sulfate was at the level of 8-12%.
The calcined flotation concentrate was mixed at g: t = 6: 1 with a solution containing 150 g / L H 2 SO 4 and 0.3-1 g / L chlorine. The pulp was heated to 95 ° C and high-temperature leaching was carried out under vigorous stirring for 3 hours. After settling, the pulp was separated into a condensed portion (16-17% of the pulp volume) and clarified. A solution containing 150 g / L H 2 SO 4 and 0.3-1 g / L chlorine was added to the condensed portion, and repeated high-temperature leaching was performed for 2 hours. The volume of the solution and the volume of condensed pulp was 1: 1, and w: t = 20: 1. After leaching, the pulp was sedimented, the thickened part was filtered, then the solid residue was washed with water and sent for melting. The clarified part from both stages of leaching can be processed into existing zinc production technologies. Tests have shown that the processing of zinc cakes by the proposed method, which includes sequentially the stages of flotation, roasting of the floc concentrate in an air atmosphere at temperatures of 580-620 o C and high-temperature leaching of roasting products in two stages with a concentration of chlorine in solution of 0.3-1 g / l at a temperature of 93-97 o C allows you to reduce the output of the tailings, directed to Waelz, to increase the extraction of silver in the residue fed to the smelting of the Dore alloy, and to utilize solutions in the existing zinc production.
The table shows the comparative verification data of the known and proposed method of processing zinc cakes.
95,1%. As can be seen from the obtained data, when using the proposed method, the extraction of silver in the Dore alloy increases from 72.9 to 95.1%.
