Abstract
Description
The invention relates to mechanical engineering, namely to power systems for internal combustion engines (ICE).
A known method of introducing a fuel additive in gasoline or diesel fuel in the form of oxide compounds of zinc, iron, barium, copper and magnesium using lubricating oil as a light base (UK application N 2216138, IPC C 10 L 1/10, 1989). Its main purpose is to neutralize the action of sulfur during the operation of internal combustion engines. It has also been found that the magnesium oxide component of the additive has beneficial effects when used in an engine.
However, this method has the following disadvantages.
The additive does not have a neutralizing effect on the main toxic components of the exhaust gas (exhaust gas) (CO, C n H m , NO).
2. The additive does not use redox catalysts (HVAC) based on oxides of manganese, nickel, chromium and cobalt as substitutes for casing catalytic converters (KH) on noble metals for the purpose specified in paragraph 1.
The objective of the invention is a high degree of exhaust gas neutralization in the ICE cylinders using chemical compounds of some heavy and alloying non-ferrous metals added to the fuel in solutions or on scavengers; reduction in the cost of oil products due to the refusal to use a device for introducing HVAC into fuel; equal degree of exhaust gas exhaust in all engine operating modes; the efficiency of the KH system when using gasoline with any antiknock additives (ADD); elimination of the need for microprocessor control of exhaust gas; increasing the power of the internal combustion engine due to the energy released during the neutralization (burning!) of exhaust gas components in the internal combustion engine cylinders; no need for environmental control of the exhaust gas composition.
The problem is solved in that the addition of HVAC solutions to the fuel is carried out at oil refineries, and the internal combustion engine supply device is regulated for excess air in the fuel-air mixture (FA), for example, to α = 1.05-1.1.
The method is carried out in that the OVK solution, consisting of chemical compounds of iron and some oxide compounds of heavy and alloying non-ferrous metals (F 2 O 3 , ZnO, CuO, Cr 2 O 3 , MnO 2 , NiO and others) in the form of soluble in gasoline or ultrafine suspensions with the addition of stabilizers, is introduced at refineries into ready-to-use gasoline at the rate of several milliliters (for example, 2-10 ml of a 10-20% solution) per 10 kg of fuel. At the same time, the HVAC solution is completely evenly mixed with gasoline, and in this form they are refueled by cars at gas stations. The vehicle’s feeding device (carburetor, injector, or device based on the principle of ultrasonic atomization) is regulated so that fuel assemblies are formed with some excess air in it (for example, α = 1.05-1.1). When gasoline is burned with HVA microadditives, gasoline and KN OG are burned during competitive reactions, and there is enough excess air to complete them in the ICE cylinders. An important feature of the proposed method is that the neutralization (burning!) Of the exhaust components occurs in the internal combustion engine cylinders, which slightly increases the internal combustion engine power due to the additional energy released, whereas in CVs on noble metals this energy is useless. In addition, during these processes, an overheating of the casing and the granular catalyst or its block carrier located in it may occur in the SC.
In the process of fuel assembly combustion in ICE cylinders at temperatures of 1800–2500 K and a pressure of 3–6 MPa, the rate of redox reactions in the presence of HVA microadditives increases by several orders of magnitude compared to processes in CVs on noble metals at temperatures from 490 K (idle stroke) up to 870K (forced mode). With power enrichment of fuel assemblies, the temperature can reach 1000-1170K, and with malfunctions in the ignition and power systems - 1270-1370K, which leads to sintering of the catalyst and burnout of the reactor and the vessel.
When using the proposed method, all of these possible emergency situations are completely eliminated, and the energy released at the exhaust gas is used to create additional ICE power.
The effect of the proposed method consists in a high degree of KN OG at high temperatures and pressure in the cylinders of the internal combustion engine; increasing the power of internal combustion engines; maintaining 100% of the exhaust gas throughout the entire life of the vehicle; in the complete absence of the need for a microprocessor system and its components for regulating the processes of exhaust gas; reduction in the cost of KH processes by hundreds of times compared with the cost of KH on precious metals; lack of need for environmental control of exhaust cleanliness; the absence of the need for periodic (after 80-100 thousand km of vehicle mileage) replacement of costly KH on precious metals.
