Abstract
Description
The invention relates to rolling production and can be used to produce hot-rolled sheets, strips and strips of nodular iron (ChShG).
[1]. A known method of production of sheet metal from cast iron, in which the melt is sent to the rolls, then the workpiece is heated [1].
The disadvantages of this method are that it does not provide a high complex of mechanical properties and corrosion resistance of sheet metal, and also has a low yield.
The technical problem solved by the invention is to increase the complex of mechanical properties, corrosion resistance and increase yield.
720-950oC.The specified technical problem is solved in that in the method for the production of sheet metal from cast iron, including heating the workpiece, according to the proposal, use a workpiece of cast iron with spherical graphite, the workpiece is heated to a temperature of 750-1100 o C and carry out its subsequent multi-pass longitudinal rolling with compression in each of the passes is 8-55% and with a temperature of the end of rolling 720-950 o C.
A possible embodiment of the method according to which, after the first 1-5 passes, the workpiece is rotated in the rolling plane at an angle of 90 o and rolled to a final thickness.
There is also a possible embodiment of the method according to which, after rolling, the sheet metal is subjected to heat treatment by heating to a temperature A r3 + 50-280 o C and holding at this temperature for 0.4-48 hours
720- 950oC.The invention consists in the following. The heating of the cast billet to a temperature of 750-1100 o C provides an increase in technological ductility of the NWG and the occurrence of recrystallization in the deformed austenite microstructure. The acquired resource of technological plasticity allows one to deform the steel alloy by longitudinal rolling with compression in thickness for a passage of 8-55%. In the process of deformation and in the periods between passes in the NWG, recrystallization processes take place, stress deformation is removed, and germinal microcracks are healed. A blank made of steel alloy retains the ability to deform without fracture and acquire an increased complex of mechanical and anticorrosion properties at a rolling end temperature of 720–950 o C.
Longitudinal rolling in one direction, due to the unidirectional plastic flow of the metal in the deformation zone, creates a deformation texture and anisotropy of mechanical properties in sheet metal from PZG. Therefore, to equalize the mechanical properties of the workpiece after the first 1-5 passes, you can rotate in the rolling plane at an angle of 90 o , changing the direction of the plastic flow of metal.
After completion of the hot longitudinal rolling, the sheet metal from ChShG has a deformed recrystallized microstructure containing ledeburite, the presence of which degrades the viscosity and corrosion resistance of the rolled metal. Subsequent heat treatment according to the regime: heating to a temperature of A r3 + 50-280 o C with holding for 0.4-48 h, turns the ledeburite sections into a stable ferrite-pearlite matrix with spherical inclusions of graphite, which improves the properties of sheet metal from ChShG.
It has been experimentally established that at a heating temperature of a cast billets made of iron ore, less than 750 o C, due to insufficient plasticity, the accumulation and development of cracks occur, leading to deterioration of mechanical properties, destruction of rolled products and lower yield. An increase in the heating temperature of more than 1100 o C leads to a weakening of the grain boundaries of the microstructure, the deterioration of technological ductility, the formation of deep cracks, especially along the side edges of the car.
When the reduction in each of the passages is less than 8%, a complete study of the workpiece microstructure through the entire thickness by plastic deformation is not achieved; as a result, an uneven microstructure is formed along the thickness of the rolled sheet. This affects the mechanical properties of sheet metal and yield. An increase in compression of more than 55% per pass leads to the destruction of the billet from the chamfer iron in the rolls, a significant decrease in yield.
If the billet is rolled without rotation in the plane of rolling by an angle of 90 o , i.e., not even one transverse pass is made, then the overall level of mechanical properties will be reduced due to anisotropy, which in some cases will have a negative effect in the subsequent processing of sheet metal. An increase in the number of passes of more than 5 with a reduction of 8-55% in each pass does not exclude "overcompensation" - when the mechanical properties of sheet metal from ChShG in the transverse direction exceed the mechanical properties in the longitudinal direction, which is also undesirable.
Heat treatment of sheet metal from ChShG allows to stabilize mechanical properties, eliminate residual stresses, and improve the corrosion resistance of sheet metal. If the temperature of the heat treatment is lower than A r3 +50 o C or the exposure time at the temperature of the heat treatment is less than 0.4 h, then sections of ledeburite will be preserved in the microstructure of the NWG. This will reduce the complex of mechanical properties of sheet metal. An increase in temperature of more than A r3 +280 o C or a holding time of more than 48 hours leads to an increase in the variability of grains of the microstructure of the metal matrix, and a decrease in the strength, ductility and viscosity of sheet metal from ChShG.
Method implementation examples
A flat billet with a thickness of 100 mm is cast from a chamogaster containing by weight 2.9% carbon, 1.5% silicon, 0.7% nickel, modified with calcium and cerium.
Для ЧШГ данного состава значение критической температуры Аr3=720oC.For the BCG of this composition, the critical temperature is A r3 = 720 o C.
Tо=Аr3+165oC=720oC+165oC=885oC,
The cast billet is heated to a temperature of T n = 925 o C and subjected to longitudinal rolling on a quarter mill with a roll barrel length of 2800 mm. The compression in thickness in each of the passages is set equal to ε = 32%. The thickness of the workpiece in the first three passes varies according to the scheme:
After completing three passes, the workpiece is rotated in the rolling plane by an angle of 90 o and continue its longitudinal multi-pass rolling with compression in thickness
ε = 32%. The thickness of the workpiece in this case changes according to the scheme:
The temperature of the end of rolling in the last 9th pass is maintained (by regulating the pace of rolling) equal to T op = 835 o C
After the longitudinal rolling is completed, the sheet metal is heat treated in a gas furnace. The heating temperature T about during heat treatment is
T o = A r3 +165 o C = 720 o C + 165 o C = 885 o C,
and the exposure time at a temperature T about set equal to τ = 24 hours
Finished sheet metal from ChShG has improved mechanical properties and corrosion resistance, has a high yield.
