An antiseptic agent is known (Patent SU 1805952 A 61 K 9/06, 1993), which is an ointment that contains vegetable oil as a fat product, wax as a bee product, and rivanol as an antiseptic. The developed product has increased penetrating ability in biological tissues and is used for the successful treatment of trophic ulcers and burns of the II and III degrees. In this case, recovery occurred in 12 to 15 days.
The objective of the invention is to increase the pharmacological activity of the agent for the local treatment of burns.
The objective was achieved by creating an ointment containing vegetable oil, such as olive, wax and lead preparation as the active ingredient, in the following ratio of ingredients, wt.%:
Wax - 14.0 - 30.0
Lead preparation - 0.05 - 0.11
Vegetable Oil - Else
As a lead preparation, the product contains organic salts, in particular lead acetate.
To prepare the ointment, use VFS 42-1776-87 olive oil, GOST 21179-90 wax and lead acetate (register. Certificate 67/554/204).
344). Lead acetate is a crystalline solid with a slight vinegar odor. The drug is soluble in 2.5 g of cold and 0.5 g of boiling water (ND Mashkovsky "Medicines". M., 1987, part 1, p. 344).
Lead acetate is used in the form of aqueous solutions as an astringent for inflammatory diseases of the skin and mucous membrane.
The ointment is prepared as follows: the vegetable oil is brought to a boil in a steam bath, after which wax is added to it completely dissolved, after which lead acetate is introduced with continuous stirring. After adding lead acetate to the melt, the container with the ointment is cooled by a flow cooling system with simultaneous flow mixing until the ointment is consistent and completely cooled. Store ointment in a glass bowl in a cool place. Shelf life is 2 years.
Ointment use: before using the product, the wound should be treated with a solution of an antiseptic, such as revanol, after which apply the ointment with a thin layer on the unpainted cotton fabric and apply with a capture of 2-3 cm of nearby “healthy” tissues and bandage. In case of large area burns, the dressing is changed every 4 hours, with a small area - once in knocks.
The therapeutic properties of the drug are manifested in a healing and bactericidal action.
A possible mechanism of action of the drug is that the lead preparation, in particular lead acetate, having astringent properties, prevents the development of the proliferative-exudative phase, which accelerates the onset of the epithelization phase and prevents the formation of keloid scars and contractures during deep burns.
Beeswax has bactericidal properties, preventing infection of the burn surface.
Olive oil promotes epithelization.

Of which: burn I Art. - 10, burn II Art. - 16 burn IIIa - 14, burn IIIb - 5, chemical burn - 4, electric burn - 2.
There were no cases of ineffective treatment.
The duration of treatment is 1.5-3 weeks.
The following are specific examples of the preparation of an ointment for the treatment of burns.
Example 6. Olive oil, taken in an amount of 799.3 g, was brought to a boil in a steam bath, after which 200.0 g of beeswax was added to it until completely dissolved. Then, 0.7 g of lead acetate is introduced into the resulting homogeneous mixture with continuous stirring. Next, the container with ointment is cooled, packaged and sent for storage for future use.
Example 7. Analogously to example 5, an ointment of the following composition is prepared.
Olive oil 899.7 g, lead acetate 0.3 g, beeswax 100.0 g.
Thus, the ointment is a radical treatment for burns, even if 2/3% of the surface of the body is affected. With burns of the III degree, if the ointment is applied to a cut on damaged areas, vesicles with serous-fibrous contents do not appear. The ointment also contributes to the rapid rejection of the scab and the development of granulation tissue. The post-burn scar when it is used becomes less dense. Keloid scar does not appear.
If no surgical treatment has been applied, scar formation after burn contractures does not occur.
