Description
The invention relates to composite ceramic materials exhibiting dielectric properties and the ability to absorb microwave radiation power. The material can be used as an element of microwave ovens of a wide profile, as well as as a radar absorbing coating in various fields of technology.
A known ceramic dielectric material, the quantitative composition of the main components of which, mol: BaO - 10:20; TiO - 0:75; ReO - 10:25; BaO + TiO + ReO = 100, where Re is at least one element from the group of rare-earth metals (US patent 5292694, MKI C 04 D 35/46, publ. 8.03.94). Being an insulator, the material can operate in the microwave range, in particular, absorb the power of microwave radiation at a frequency of 2450 MHz.
But upon receipt of the known material, pure oxides are used, in particular REE and titanium oxides, which are a commercial product and the receipt of which is associated with additional technological and electrical costs.
16.03.93). Для получения известного материала используют как минеральное сырье (каолин, тальк), так и соединения, являющиеся товарным продуктом (карбидные, нитридные, боридные порошки).Known dielectric material containing ceramic powders that absorb MV radiation, for example, talc, kaolin, silicates, Al 2 O 3 and (or) aluminosilicates, 15-98% carbide, nitride and (or) boride ceramic powder (preferably SiC, TiC , ZrC, HfC, VC, TaC, MoC, NbC, TiB, TiN, ZrB, ZrN) (US patent 5194408, MKL C 04 B 35/52, publ. 16.03.93). To obtain the well-known material, both mineral raw materials (kaolin, talc) and commercially available compounds (carbide, nitride, boride powders) are used.
Currently, the problem of wider use of mineral raw materials in the production of new ceramic materials remains relevant. A similar problem has both environmental and economic significance.
Thus, the authors were faced with the task of expanding the raw material base for the production of ceramic materials with the ability to absorb MV radiation due to the use of new mineral raw materials as the starting material.
The problem is solved in the proposed composite ceramic material consisting of a powder mixture of compounds based on oxides and silicon carbide, and the material contains silicon carbide, comprising 12-16% of a modifier consisting of silicide and oxides of aluminum and silicon, and as a compound based on oxides - leucoxene concentrate is a product of the processing of titaniferous oily ore in the following ratio of components (wt.%):
Leucoxene Concentrate - 1 - 70
Silicon Carbide - 99 - 30
Modified - 99 - 30
Currently, from the patent and scientific literature is unknown composite material that absorbs MB radiation, and consisting of a powder mixture of leukoxene concentrate and modified silicon carbide in the claimed range of components.
Leucoxene concentrate is obtained after annealing and chemical treatment of titaniferous oil-containing ore, which is carried out to remove oil and concentrate useful components. Leucoxene concentrate is used for industrial purposes for the production of pigment based on titanium dioxide, sponge titanium, and metallic titanium dioxide. The use of leukoxene concentrate as a compound based on oxides and modified silicon carbide in the proposed technical solution allows to obtain a composite material with a high scattering coefficient of microwave radiation. Moreover, the properties of the proposed material are influenced by both the quantitative ratio between the components and the amount of modifier.
So, when the content of the leukoxene concentrate in the material is less than 1.0%, and the modified silicon carbide is more than 99.0%, the scattering coefficient decreases (becomes equal to 0.062).
When the content of leucoxene concentrate in the material is more than 70%, and the modified silicon carbide is less than 30%, the scattering coefficient sharply decreases (to 0.046).
The content of the modifier is due to the following reasons. When its content is less than 12%, the scattering coefficient tg decreases and becomes equal to 0.05 - 0.06. The upper limit of the modifier content (16%) is due to the chemical nature of the compound. With its greater content, the formation of other chemical compounds occurs.
The proposed composite material can be obtained as follows.
Take 1.0 - 70.0 wt.% Leukoxene concentrate composition (wt.%): TiO 2 - 48.0: 50.0; SiO 2 - 33.0: 35.0; Fe 2 O 3 - 5.5: 7.8; Al 2 O 3 - 4.5: 7.0; the rest is impurities, and 30.0: 99.0 wt.% silicon carbide is added to it, including 12.0: 16.0% modifier (iron silicide, aluminum oxides and silicon). The particle size of the starting components, microns: leukocoxene concentrate - 1000: 140, silicon carbide (modified) - 63 or less. The starting components are loaded into a mill and stirred for 3 to 5 minutes at room temperature. The chemical composition of the obtained powder mixture is controlled by chemical, x-ray phase and x-ray spectral analyzes.
To determine the scattering coefficient from the obtained powder by pressing method, samples are made in the form of a cube measuring 3.0 • 3.0 • 3.0 mm under a pressure of 80 MPa. The scattering coefficient (tg) is determined at a frequency of 3.31 GHz (T = 295 K, microwave power - fields 1: 5 mW).
