Abstract
Description
The invention relates to the field of metallurgy and can be used in the manufacture of parts of bearings that operate when exposed to aggressive environments.
The proposed steel belongs to the corrosion-resistant steels of austenitic-martensitic (transitional) class.
C 22 C 38/28, 1982). Known bearing steel with enhanced properties of corrosion resistance and scale resistance (ed. St. USSR N 933785 class. C 22
The disadvantage of such a known steel is the relatively low plasticity characteristics during its deformation at high temperatures.
Bearing steel of the type 05X12H8M2S3-Sh is also known (Sat. Scientific Works of NPO VNIPP
However, the achievement of these properties requires very careful adherence to the process conditions of hot deformation. In addition, in the manufacture of blanks for parts of bearings, rings and rolling elements, by the method of hot sinking of forgings at high temperatures, a large number of cracks are obtained on the surfaces of the blanks, which leads to the need to reject such blanks, while marriage can reach 50% of the total mass of blanks. This fact indicates that the known bearing steel has low hot ductility characteristics. In the table. 1 presents the ingredients of the known bearing steel adopted for the prototype. The hot ductility of steel in its known composition cannot be increased.
The objective of the invention is to develop a composition of bearing steel, which would have a high technological transverse ductility.
1. This problem is solved by the fact that cerium, zirconium and calcium are additionally introduced into the composition of the steel, with the following ratio of ingredients (in wt.%): Carbon 0.01-0.05; manganese 0.09-1.0; chrome 11.0-13.0; nickel 7.5-9.5; molybdenum 1.5-2.5; silicon 2.5-3.5; cerium 0.005-0.10; zirconium 0.005-0.1; calcium 0.005-0.1; iron the rest. Exemplary steel compositions are given in table. one.
The introduction of a small amount of cerium, zirconium and calcium into the steel provides a significant increase in technological transverse ductility. In this case, the proposed steel retains the entire complex of high mechanical properties inherent in the prototype.
In the table. 2 shows the results of tests on the mechanical properties of both known steel and the proposed one.
Steel samples were smelted in the form of ingots with a diameter of 100 mm using refining electroslag remelting. Further, the ingots were deformed by forging to obtain bars with a diameter of 20–25 mm, from which samples were made for various tests.
2.Hot torsion tests were carried out on samples heated to a temperature of 1100 o C, not subjected to preliminary hardening treatment. The purpose of the tests was to determine the number of twists to fracture samples (n cr ). In addition, the mechanical properties of steel were determined by tensile testing of the samples, while the samples were hardened by heat treatment according to the following conditions: quenching from 1000 o C in air, cold treatment at -70 o C for 4 h, aging at 475 o C for 10-15 hours. The characteristics were evaluated transverse ductility slump height samples previously heated to a temperature of 1100 o C. The samples after aging for at least 15 minutes, were removed from the oven and immediately deformed slump height at varying degrees of of the moment of formation of cracks on the outer surface. Thus, the limiting degree of deformation Σ pr was determined, at which the beginning of the cracking process was recorded. This parameter was the value corresponding to the transverse ductility characteristic of steel. The obtained test results are given in table. 2.
The proposed steel within the claimed content of the elements has a complex of high mechanical and technological properties. In this case, a change in the chemical composition of steel in the direction of lowering the content of alloying elements leads to a decrease in the ductility of steel. If the content of alloying elements exceeds the upper claimed level, a stable γ-phase is formed in the steel structure. This phenomenon is accompanied by a significant decrease in the complex of mechanical properties of steel, namely, its strength characteristics are reduced. It should be noted that the proposed steel significantly (more than 2 times) exceeds the existing technological transverse ductility in terms of characteristics.
Thus, the proposed technical solution has novelty in comparison with the prototype, has an inventive step compared to the existing level of technology and is industrially feasible, i.e. meets the signs of patentability of the invention.
