Abstract
Description
The invention relates to metallurgy, in particular to a method for producing castings of wear-resistant steel with high mechanical properties that can be used as parts of mining and digging and earthmoving equipment operating under high shock loads and subjected to impact-abrasive wear, for example, teeth and walls of ladles excavators, armor of ball mills and crushers, bulldozer knives.
A known method of producing castings of high manganese wear-resistant steel grade 110G133L [1] comprising smelting it in electric arc furnaces, obtaining castings from it in sand forms, their quenching in water from a heating temperature of 1100-1150 o C and a total heating time of up to 22 hours the next the ratio of components in it, wt.

Carbon 0.8 1.5

The disadvantages of the method are: low processability of steel, which makes it difficult to obtain high-quality castings from it, which is associated with its low heat conductivity and high shrinkage, which contribute to the formation of cracks during casting and heat treatment and shrinkage shells and loosening in massive parts of castings; poor machinability due to the high tendency to hardening, therefore, non-machined castings are obtained from it, which greatly narrows the scope of their application; the lack of magnetic properties of steel, which greatly complicates the extraction of parts made from it from rocks when they break and are the cause of the breakdown of mining and processing equipment when they fall into it; a high tendency to crack formation of castings with a high phosphorus content in them, which requires the use of very pure phosphorus ferroalloys and charge materials for steel smelting, which are scarce and expensive; the need to use a long heat treatment cycle of castings with a very high heating temperature, which, along with the high content of manganese in them in steel, increases their cost.
A known method of producing castings of steel 35GL [2] including steel smelting, casting, cleaning, processing and heat treatment, normalization and tempering, which consists in heating the castings to 900-920 o C and holding it for 2 hours, followed by cooling in air, and then reheated to 600-650 o C and holding it for 2 hours, followed by cooling in air.
п.). The disadvantages of this method are the low strength and hardness of steel due to the absence of alloying elements and a low content of manganese in it (Ryvkin Yu.N. Korotkov M.A. Chernobylsky V.N. Metals and their substitutes. -M. Metallurgy, 1973, p. .124, 128), because with its composition and type of heat treatment, the microstructure contains an increased amount of ferrite, which excludes its use for parts working under conditions of impact-abrasive wear at high impact loads (ball mills, crushers, excavators, etc.).
The closest in technical essence and the achieved effect is a method for producing castings from cast wear-resistant steel [3] consisting in its smelting in an induction electric furnace with a main lining and obtaining from it castings that undergo normalization to 880 o C, with the following ratio of components, wt .

Carbon 0.40 0.50

The disadvantages of this method are: low impact strength and reduced strength and ductility of steel, because when it is composed, vanadium and chromium carbides and an increased amount of oxysulfide nonmetallic inclusions of barium, rare earth metals and aluminum are formed in the microstructure, which reduces the viscosity, ductility and strength of steel; the use of rare-earth metals in steelmaking leads to the formation of a pyroeffect and large smoke emission containing harmful substances, which worsens sanitary and hygienic and environmental conditions; the use of very expensive elements of barium, rare earth metals and calcium, which increases the cost of castings.
The objective of the invention is to obtain castings of wear-resistant steel with high impact strength, strength, hardness and wear resistance and low cost.
To solve this problem, steel is smelted in an electric furnace, castings are obtained from it, they are chipped and cleaned, and then subjected to double normalization heat treatment, which consists in their initial heating to 920-930 o C and holding for 3-3.5 hours, followed by cooling in air to 200 o C, and then in rotary heating to (870-880 o C and holding it for 2.5-3.0 hours, followed by cooling in air to 20 o C, using steel of the following chemical composition, wt.

The result is castings made of wear-resistant steel with a fine-grained microstructure, consisting of a mixture of sorbitol-like perlite, sorbitol, troostite and bainite and finely dispersed corbonitride phase of boron, which ensures their high impact strength, strength, hardness and wear resistance at a reduced cost.
This method of producing castings from wear-resistant steel was selected on the basis of studies of the influence of various chemical compositions and various heat treatment methods on their microstructure and properties in order to select the optimal values.
The content in the inventive steel 0.20-0.40% carbon contributes to its high impact strength, hardness, strength and wear resistance. A decrease in carbon content below the lower specified limit leads to a sharp decrease in its hardness and wear resistance, and an increase in its content in excess of the upper specified limit leads to a sharp decrease in its impact strength. The composition of the alloying elements in the claimed steel is adopted such that they enhance the positive influence of each other on its properties.
The joint content in the declared steel alloying elements of manganese, chromium, nickel, vanadium and copper within the stated limits increases its impact strength, strength, hardness and wear resistance due to hardening and grinding of their microstructure.
With a decrease in the content of the above elements in the declared steel below their lower specified limit, their positive effect on its properties is significantly reduced, and if their upper specified limit is exceeded, they sharply reduce its impact strength, since contribute to the formation of increasing its brittleness of carbides and troostite-bainitic-martensitic structure.
The content of aluminum and silicon in the declared steel is taken at the level of constant impurities, the amount of which usually gets into the steel during its deoxidation during smelting.
Boron forms a finely dispersed hardening carbonitride phase with the carbon contained in the declared steel, which increases its strength, hardness and wear resistance.
When the boron content in the declared steel is lower than the lower specified limit, its positive effect on its properties sharply decreases, and when the upper specified limit is exceeded, it decreases its impact strength.
20oC.The use of double normalization of castings of the declared steel to the greatest extent contributes to an increase in their viscosity, hardness, strength and wear resistance due to the formation of an equilibrium fine-grained microstructure in them, consisting of a mixture of sorbitol-like perlite, sorbitol, troostite, bainite and finely dispersed hardening boron corbonitride phase, and the elimination of the formation of thermal cracks usually accompanying tempering with tempering. The best properties are achieved by heating the castings during the first normalization to 920-930 o C and holding it for 3-3.5 hours, followed by cooling in air to 200 o C, and during the second to 870-880 o C, holding at her 2.5-3 hours and their subsequent cooling in air to 20 o C.
Lowering the heating temperature and holding time during normalization of castings below the lower indicated processes and obtaining the above microstructure of steel in them and therefore does not increase their properties, and exceeding them above the upper specified limits leads to grain growth in their microstructure and warpage, which reduces their properties .
The technical result obtained by carrying out the invention is to achieve high impact strength, strength, hardness and wear resistance of castings, which increases their operational resistance.
This is achieved by obtaining a fine-grained equilibrium microstructure in the castings, consisting of a mixture of sorbitol-like perlite, sorbitol, troostite and bainite, and finely dispersed hardening corbonitride phase of boron, and the formation of thermal cracks in them. Such castings can be used as replaceable wearing parts, for example, teeth of excavator buckets, faturises and other parts of ball mills and crushers, grinding balls and other parts in the mining industry, which simultaneously require high abrasion and impact resistance and impact resistance.
