Abstract
Description
The invention relates to the field of engine building, in particular diesel engine building, where traditional fuel supply and gas supply equipment are used, comprising a fuel supply nozzle with a spray for injecting liquid fuel.
One of the factors limiting further, forcing diesel engines in terms of power and increasing durability, is the high temperature of the atomizer, which causes premature coking of the nozzle holes, sticking of the needle and wear of the locking cone of the needle. These defects in the atomizer operation are especially noticeable in the gas diesel engine, where the low consumption of the ignition liquid fuel reduces the cooling efficiency of the atomizer.
A device for spraying fuel, for example, in an internal combustion engine, comprising a housing of the atomizer, with a protective casing, in which to reduce the intensity of heat removal to the atomizer in the casing is placed a heat shield [1]. However, it is ineffective due to the incomplete protection of the nozzle of the atomizer.
A device is known for thermal protection of atomizers of nozzles, comprising a casing fixed to the atomizer body with a circular gap, in which heat-shielding material is located, and having openings for fuel passage during injection [2]. However, under the influence of high temperatures of working gases and deformations of the casing and the atomizer body, the heat-shielding material loses its properties, collapses and closes the holes for fuel passage. In addition, filling a circular gap with heat-shielding material requires special sophisticated production and assembly technology, often economically disadvantageous.
The invention is based on a technical problem: by reducing the temperature of the atomizer body, to increase the reliability and efficiency of its operation, as well as to abandon the use of special heat-shielding materials.
Other objectives of the invention are to increase the efficiency of thermal protection of the atomizer, as well as preventing the accumulation and subsequent coking of fuel in the nozzle holes of the nozzle.
This problem is solved in that in the spray gun comprising a housing, a needle and a heat shield (casing) with holes for the passage of fuel during injection, mounted on the housing and made with a bottom part covering the nozzle toe with a gap according to the invention, formed under the screen in the spray housing segmented air cavities located uniformly on the cylindrical surface of the housing and interconnected by an additional annular air cavity.
To increase the efficiency of thermal protection, the bottom of the screen forms a separate air cavity isolated from other cavities, bounded by the surfaces of the nose of the case and the screen.
In order to prevent the accumulation and subsequent coking of fuel in a separate isolated cavity in the bottom of the screen, a drainage hole is made.
During the operation of the diesel engine, part of the heat generated during the combustion of fuel is perceived by the surface of the heat shield. An isolated air cavity formed in the bottom of the screen prevents the free flow of heat over the surface of the atomizer body. Segmental air cavities located evenly on the cylindrical surface of the spray gun’s body also prevent the heat from spreading to the sprayer’s needle, however, the organization of the diesel engine’s working process can be such that the amount of heat perceived by the screen can be uneven over the cylindrical surface of the latter, for example, in case of mismatch between the sprayer and cylinder axes engine. In this regard, an additional annular air cavity is made in the atomizer body, which provides free air circulation between the segment cavities located on the cylindrical surface of the atomizer body and helps to equalize the air temperatures in the cavities.
Thus, the proposed technical solution allows to reduce the temperature of the atomizer due to effective shielding without reducing the service life and reliability of thermal protection.
The invention is illustrated in the drawing, where Fig.1 shows a General view of the device for thermal protection of the atomizer nozzle, Fig.2 is a view along aa, Fig.3 is a view along bb.
7. The device consists of a spray gun housing 1, a needle 2, and a heat shield 3, under which segmented air cavities A, B, and C are formed, which are uniformly located on the cylindrical surface of the
The device operates as follows. Gases with a high temperature during fuel combustion in the diesel cylinder wash the heat shield of the atomizer, giving it heat, most intensively in the lower part, since the latter directly protrudes onto the firing surface of the head of the block. A separate, isolated air cavity E makes it difficult to transfer heat from the heat shield 3 to the
In places of contact of the heat shield 3 with the
Thus, the proposed device can be effectively used in diesel engines to protect the atomizer of the fuel-supply nozzle from the harmful effects of high temperature.
