Abstract
Description
The invention relates to the field of non-ferrous metallurgy, in particular to technology for the production of fusible silicon in ore-thermal furnaces.
Currently, in the production of crystalline silicon, fine fractions, silica, and carbon-containing raw materials are screened out and sent to waste, the amount of which is ≈ 15%. Pigging these materials allows you to solve the problem of waste disposal, but does not solve the problem of the quality of the agglomerated material.
A known method of producing crystalline silicon, in which the mixture is briquetted using an aqueous solution of distillery concentrate as a binder.
A known method of granulation of silicon, in which finely ground siliceous raw materials and a carbon reducing agent are mixed, with a binder from the group of sulfite liquor, molasses and water. A granular mixture is obtained from the mixture.
A disadvantage of the known methods is the low porosity of the obtained agglomerated products, as well as the high energy and labor costs of the agglomeration process.
The closest in technical essence and the achieved result is a method of producing a mixture for silicon smelting, in which finely dispersed carbon and silicon-containing raw materials, as well as silicon powder are thoroughly mixed with a binder, which is used as a solution of sodium alkali. The mixture was kept at room temperature for 70 hours. A hardened foamy product was obtained.
The disadvantage of this method is the duration of the process and the large porosity of the resulting charge material. In addition, in the known method, the resulting charge material must be crushed before use.
The aim of the invention is to obtain pelletized charge material, increasing its porosity and strength.
40 - 60oC.This goal is achieved by the fact that in the method of obtaining agglomerated charge for ore thermal smelting of silicon, comprising dosing and mixing finely divided materials with a binder, which is used as a solution of liquid glass and finely divided metallic silicon, the resulting suspension is dosed in portions and for 3-5 minutes, produced heat treatment at 40 - 60 o C.
The invention is illustrated as follows.
40 - 60oC.In order to obtain a finely porous, durable and lightweight charge-agglomerated material, interaction of liquid glass with silicon powder, which is part of the charge, is necessary. To implement this reaction, it is necessary to overcome the activation barrier, which consists in heating the reagents to 40 - 60 o C.
The interaction of the reagents occurs according to the reaction:
Na 2 O • SiO 2 + Si + 2H 2 O _ → Na 2 O • 2SiO 2 + H 2
The released hydrogen and evaporating moisture froth the initial mass, and the polymerized sodium bisilicate, binding the particles of the charge, gives it a strong and finely porous structure.
в качестве связующего используют жидкое стекло и кремниевый порошок;
полученные порции подвергают термобрабаотке при Т = 40 - 60oC;
A comparative analysis of the proposed solutions with the prototype shows that the claimed method differs from the known in that:
liquid glass and silicon powder are used as a binder;
the resulting portions are subjected to heat treatment at T = 40 - 60 o C;
the heat treatment time is 3-5 minutes.
Thus, the claimed method meets the criterion of "novelty."
Analysis of known technical solutions in this and related fields has shown that the use of water glass in the composition as a binder is known.
In the proposed method, in addition to binding properties, liquid glass with powdered metallic silicon exhibits the properties of a foaming agent.
(55 - 60%).Thus, the distinguishing features of the proposed solutions exhibit new properties, and in combination with the previously known ones, they allow to obtain a strong (175 - 180 kg / briquette at 1200 o C) structure of a material with a high (6 Ohm • cm) resistivity and high porosity (55 - 60%).
Thus, the claimed combination of features meets the criterion of "inventive step".
Example. To prepare the crumpled mixture, 50 kg of quartz sand, 20 kg of petroleum coke and charcoal dust, 3 kg of powdered silicon metal and 17 kg of liquid glass (density 1.2 kg / m 3 ) are mixed. The resulting suspension is dosed in portions ≈ 10 g and placed in a heating cabinet at 60 o C. After 3 minutes, each portion increases its volume by 3-5 times and hardens. The porosity of the resulting mixture is 60%. The obtained agglomerated material has a smooth surface, which gives it a mechanical strength of 180 kg / briquette.
Examples of other experiments are shown in the table.
Как следует из таблицы пористость увеличивается как с увеличением температуры нагрева (до 60oC), так и времени (до 5 мин).As follows from the table, the porosity increases both with increasing heating temperature (up to 60 o C), and time (up to 5 min).
A further increase in both time and heating temperature is not advisable, since an increase in porosity is not observed.
The lower limit in temperature and heating time of the charge mass is due to the low porosity of the agglomerated material.
Compared with the prototype, the formation time of the agglomerated charge material is reduced from 70 hours (4200 minutes) to 3-5 minutes with little heating.
In addition, it should be noted that the mechanical strength of the agglomerated charge material begins to decrease with increasing heating time.
