Abstract
Description
The invention relates to the field of exploration, and in particular to methods of searching for oil and gas fields.
A known method of geological exploration, providing for electrical exploration in the study area using field excitation by current pulses, the combinations of which provide the detail of the dismemberment of the investigated section [1]
The disadvantage of this method is the low resolution when studying objects with low contrast resistivity, while this method, like all electrical prospecting methods, provides information only on the presence of a conducting collector horizon and cannot provide information on the presence of a deposit and the associated diffusion flux of hydrocarbons .
There is a known method of geoelectrical exploration, adopted as a prototype, in which an unsteady electromagnetic field is excited in the medium under study by changing the current strength in the source by turning it on, off, and applying a series of pulses that vary in polarity and amplitude, decreasing according to an exponentially decaying harmonic law [2] Secondary measurements The signal is produced continuously from the moment the current is turned on.
The measured secondary signal is characterized by a transition time through zero. The parameters of the excitation signal agree with the parameters of the studied section so that in the informative part of the transition process there are several transitions through zero, and in the early stage, at least one transition through zero. Measuring the transient in a wide time range, record the time of transition through zero EMF of the transient at two attenuation frequencies. According to the obtained values of the transition through zero at two frequencies, there are h systems of equations (h is the number of transitions through zero). Solve these systems and determine the characteristics of the environment.
The disadvantage of this method is the insufficiently high resolution, since it does not completely remove the background of the enclosing medium throughout the depth of the studied section, in particular, interference from local objects that are not the object of the search. In addition, this method does not provide direct information about the presence of deposits and the associated diffusion flow of hydrocarbons.
The present invention is based on the task of developing a method for geological exploration of oil and gas, according to which, based on information about the gas saturation of the rocks over the area and in depth, that is, about the propagation deep into the rocks with increased resistivity, the transition signal from the test medium would be measured under conditions of its the highest resolution, which would allow us to determine the shape and size of the diffusion flux from the surface anomaly to the desired reservoir.
The problem is solved in that in a method for the geological exploration of oil and gas, including conducting electrical exploration work on the studied area on the basis of the known model of the investigated section, while in the test medium an unsteady electromagnetic field is excited with the help of electrical prospecting installations and the transient signal is measured at times when the measured signal is equal to zero, according to the invention, a gas geochemical survey is carried out on the studied area by studying gases sorbed on clay stand matrix, the results of which identify zones hydrocarbon anomalies and electrical exploration is carried out on the area by profiles sites within the identified hydrocarbon anomalies with access to the normal field, wherein the pre each fixed depth H i of the test section was calculated time T 0i zero crossing measured the signal from the medium under study and the spacings R n of electrical exploration installations in a given interval Δ of resistivities r 2 of the formation at a depth of H i , moving along the profile, intersect a cross-sectional geochemical anomaly, for each depth H i of the studied section, a transient signal is measured at each of n plant spacings at times T 0i , profile EMF plots are obtained, according to the graph, the middle part of which is as close to zero as possible, the formation parameters at depth H i from the surface geochemical anomaly to the desired deposit.
6).In FIG. 1 shows a plan of the Sobinsky field (scale 1: 200000); in FIG. 2 geological section along profile II and the results of gas-geochemical surveys along this profile in the form of graphs of the content of gas components in the selected rock samples; in FIG. 3-4 the results of mathematical regulation of the dependence of the EMF E, respectively, on the resistance ρ 2 of the formation with a three-layer model of the section and its depth H; in FIG. Figures 5-6 show EMF plots during profiling by an installation with three spans above the hydrocarbon saturation zone in the formation, which lies at a depth of H 500 m with
In FIG. Figure 3 shows graphs of the dependence of the measured EMF in a three-layer section on the formation resistance (ρ 2 ), which lies at a depth of H 500 m at an observation time T 0 of 11.3 ms, for three spacings (R) of the installation.
In FIG. Figure 4 shows the dependences of the EMF E on the bedding depth H at
The data obtained indicate that for a certain time of observation of the transient process (in our case T 0 11.3 ms), each installation spacing corresponds to a certain depth and resistance of the search object (in our case, the formation in half-space), for which there is a region of highest resolution observed EMF.
The presented dependences (Fig. 3, Fig. 4) allow us to conclude that it is possible to study ρ 2 in a three-layer section laterally at a given depth of the formation, conducting sounding of each specific depth. For this, it is necessary to carry out measurements at several spacings R of the installation in a possible range of variation of ρ 2 of the formation at a given depth, at a given observation time, corresponding to the transition time through zero of the signal from the medium under study. Comparison of the obtained results makes it possible to determine the formation parameters with a high degree of accuracy, the region of highest resolution (EMF value is close to zero) corresponds to the actual ρ 2 in the studied section.
The method of geological exploration of oil and gas is as follows.
To identify surface gas anomalies genetically related to oil and gas deposits, search area is crossed along linear profiles (Fig. 1), samples of subsurface rocks are taken from pits, which are laid with the calculation of opening the horizon located below the surface gas exchange zone. Analysis of subsurface clays occurring in bedrock allows obtaining reliable information on the quantitative and qualitative composition of sorbed gases genetically related to hydrocarbon deposits. Samples of rocks are dried to constant weight and crushed. After that, the quantitative and qualitative composition of gases adsorbed on a clay matrix is determined on a chromatographic system with heat conductivity detectors. The system consists of two gas chromatographs CHROM-5 (ChSN-340070) and LHM-80. Analytical work is carried out according to the method of gas absorption chromatography in isometric mode. In the process of interpreting the obtained data, gas anomalies are established at the boundaries of the oil-water and gas-oil contacts. The resulting gas anomalies reflect the gas saturation of the host rocks and the intensity of the gas flows from the hydrocarbon deposits (Fig. 2). This information makes it possible to extrapolate the gas saturation of the rocks over the area and in the context and judge the presence, in this case, on profile II at points 3-5 and 10-13, of a hydrocarbon "column", that is, about the distribution deep into the rocks with increased resistance. As can be seen from FIG. 2, the data of the geochemical survey as a whole reflect the position in the plan, but do not provide information on the shape and size of hydrocarbon anomalies to a depth to the desired deposit. This is due to the migration of hydrocarbon gases not only vertically, but also horizontally. To trace the gas-oil contact in depth from the surface to the reservoir, in this example, at pickets 3-5 and 10-13 with access to a normal field (Fig. 1, Fig. 2), electrical exploration is carried out by the method of field formation. For this, on the basis of preliminary information on the horizontally layered geological structure of the studied area, the i-th number of characteristic formations is distinguished in the section, each of which is presented in the form of a three-layer model with the conductivity of the middle layer ρ 2i ± Δ. Further, solving the direct problem, setting the limits of the change in the Δ value, for example, ± 10%, the corresponding installation spacings R n are calculated at the same measurement time T 0i corresponding to the transition time through zero of the measured EMF signal E, and a certain set of separation R n of the installations is obtained with which further measurements are carried out for a given depth H i . To do this, at the profile point, the source of the electromagnetic field is laid out in the form of an ungrounded loop from an insulated wire and an electric current is passed through it in the form of rectangular pulses (Heaviside pulse). At a distance R (installation spacing) corresponding to the depth H i of the studied horizon, a receiving frame is placed in the form of an ungrounded loop from an insulated wire. The EMF E is measured at a time T 0i corresponding to the transition time through zero of the transient signal from the test medium r 2 at a given depth H i . In accordance with the calculated data, the separation R of the installation is changed and measurements are made at each at the same time T 0i . After taking measurements, the installation moves to the next point in the profile across the geochemical anomaly, a similar sequence of operations is performed. As a result, n profile EMF plots are obtained for a given depth H i . According to the schedule, the middle part of which is as close to zero as possible, the parameters of the hydrocarbon-saturated part of the formation lying at a depth of H i are judged, its boundaries and the resistivity value are determined.
Similar actions are performed horizontally for each depth H i of the section to the desired reservoir. By correlating the revealed resistivity anomalies, the distribution of deposits of saturated hydrocarbons detected by gas-geochemical surveying to a depth along the section to the desired deposit is traced, that is, the shape and dimensions of the diffusion flux from the surface to the desired deposit are determined. In this case, studies begin with a layer adjacent to surface deposits. As mentioned above, several n spacings of R installations measure the EMF signal at time T 01 , and n profile EMF plots are obtained. The presence of a profile graph that has a minimum (close to zero) value of the measured signal in the center of the geochemical anomaly and coincides spatially (in general) with it confirms the possibility of identifying a hydrocarbon “column” in the area under investigation by electrical exploration.
In FIG. 5 shows the results of modeling the electrical exploration part of the method for a three-layer model of a section with a vertical zone (column) saturated with hydrocarbons, in which the resistance was
Solving the direct problem for a medium with such parameters gave the observation time T 0 i 11.3 ms and spacings R 1807 m, 1765 m, 1852 m. Profile graphs were obtained:
In FIG. Figure 6 shows profile plots for the case when the resistivity ρ 2 of the formation saturated with hydrocarbons at the same depth is 12 Ohm / m. Moreover, observations along the profile at the same time T 0i 11.3 ms at the same spacings give curves, of which curve 3 at a spacing of 1852 m is closest to zero in its middle part. That is, in this case, it is this dependence that characterizes the reservoir at a given depth.
Thus, the patented method by combining geochemical and electrical exploration allows you to trace the anomalies of hydrocarbons from the surface to a depth to the desired reservoir and contour the oil and gas reservoir.
