Abstract
Description
The invention relates to instrumentation and can be used to control the diameters of the entrance pupils of photo lenses.
I2.The closest technical solution to the invention is a device for measuring the diameter of the entrance pupil of a photographic lens by the photoelectric method [1]
The device comprises a light source, a condenser, a diaphragm located in the focal plane of the collimator lens, a calibration diaphragm, a photoelectric ball, in the wall of which a photoelectric multiplier and a recording device are fixed. During measurements, a controlled lens is mounted between the collimator and the photometric ball. The diameter of the collimator must be larger than the diameter of the controlled lens. A photometric ball is installed near the focal plane of the lens under control so that the entire stream passing through the lens enters the ball. The scattered light flux is converted by the multiplier into a photocurrent, which is recorded by a galvanometer or other measuring device, without a calibration diaphragm I 1 , and with a calibration diaphragm I 2 .
The disadvantage of this device is the impossibility of operational control of the diameters of the entrance pupils of photo lenses, because when measuring the diameter of the apertures, the size of the calibration aperture is preselected equal to the diameter of the entrance pupil, calculated from the values of the nominal relative aperture and focal length of the controlled lens. During measurements, the size of the calibration diaphragm is specified from the condition I 2 <I 1 , not more than 10-15%
An object of the invention is to provide a device for operational control of the diameters of the entrance pupil of a photo lens with an error of not more than 1%
The technical result is achieved in that a device containing a sequentially located and optically coupled light source, a collimator, a calibration diaphragm, a controlled lens located in the focal plane of the controlled lens, a photodetector and a measuring device, an adjustable power supply connected to the light source and a filter are inserted which is connected to the output of the photodetector, and the output to the measuring device.
8. The technical result of the proposed solution is as follows. With a constant value of the light flux in front of the lens, the magnitude of the photocurrent recorded by the measuring device depends on the magnitude of the light flux passing through the monitored lens and the parameters of the photodetector. With the photodetector parameters unchanged, the value of the photocurrent will be determined only by the lens parameters; entrance pupil diameter and transmittance. With a constant transmittance, it is possible to calibrate the scale of the device in normalized values of the diameter of the entrance pupil using a reference lens and a set of reference apertures, calculated accordingly. At the same time, a value corresponding to the magnitude of the flow, limited only by the external calibration diaphragm installed in front of the lens, is marked on the scale of the device. Then, when a controlled lens is installed in the device with a calibration diaphragm installed in front of it, infinitely adjusting the power source, the previously noted photocurrent value can be set. Moreover, relative to the reference one, it will be compensated for by the transmittance of the controlled lens, as well as the temperature and time instability of the entire device as a whole, leading to a change in the scale of the device. Thus, it becomes possible to quickly control the diameter of the entrance pupil. Since the value of the diameter of the entrance pupil for each fixed position of the diaphragm scale can be within its tolerance relative to the nominal, calculated in accordance with the technical conditions for the controlled lens, there is no need to manufacture and calibrate a new scale of the device. You can use the existing one by writing in the table the values of the photocurrent corresponding to the boundaries of the range of acceptable values for each fixed position of the aperture scale during graduation, and use the table for monitoring. The drawing shows a diagram of a device that consists of a series-connected adjustable power source 1, optically coupled light source 2, a collimator 3, a calibration diaphragm 4, a controlled lens 5 and connected in series between a photodetector 6, a filter 7 and a measuring device 8.
A semiconductor LED with the required spectral range is used as a light source in the device. The luminous flux is modulated by supplying the LED with unipolar current pulses with continuously adjustable amplitudes, which are formed by power source 1. Smooth adjustment of the power source is necessary to compensate for the transmittance of controlled lenses, temperature and time instability of the device. The applied light source 2 allows for a low power consumption to use the most simple design of the collimator from a single positive lens. The calibration diaphragm 4 is structurally mounted on the controlled lens 5. The size of the calibration diaphragm 4 is chosen smaller than the diameter of the entrance pupil corresponding to the lower tolerance limit on the maximum relative aperture of the controlled lenses and is used to eliminate the influence of the spread of the focal length of the controlled lenses. As the photodetector 6, a semiconductor photodiode is used. The filter 7 used in the device is the simplest high-pass filter and is used to exclude the influence of an external light background. Frequency filtering of the useful signal is additionally carried out by a photodetector operating as a low-pass filter and a millivoltmeter having a frequency-dependent negative feedback circuit. The number of measurement sub-ranges is selected depending on the number of monitored values, the type of indications (arrow or digital), the permissible reading error, and the convenience of using the device. For arrow indication in order to maintain a constant reference error, the number of measurement subranges is conveniently equal to the number of monitored positions of the aperture scale and the upper measurement limits of two adjacent subranges are distinguished by approximately two times, i.e. tracking the law of change in the magnitude of the light flux.
The device operates as follows.
The light from the light source 2, which is fed by an adjustable power source 1, is collimated by the lens 3, then it falls on the controlled lens 5 and focuses on the photodetector 6, the light energy converted into the photocurrent passes through the filter 7 and is measured by the device 8. When installing the controlled lens 5 on the device the transmittance of this lens is corrected using an adjustable power supply 1 and taking into account the focal length of this lens (more precisely, an increase in the part of the optical th system of diaphragm facing the lens along the beam) using the calibration of the diaphragm 4. Then, by comparing the meter reading 8 with the table on the different values of the lens aperture, the lens concludes shelf.
