Abstract
Description
The invention is intended for authorized detonation of explosive devices in places of their detection, as well as for the protection of people and objects from damage by shrapnel and an air wave.
The K-3 container of the Institute of Applied Physics of the city of Novosibirsk may be an analogue to this device (see the materials of the "Fight against Terrorism" exhibition in 1980). The K-3 kit weighing 75 kg consists of an explosion-proof chamber, a cartridge for placing an explosive device of a set of folding arms and 4 wheels for transporting the kit over short distances. Its main disadvantages: large weight and metal consumption, the complexity of manufacturing, strict restriction of the mass of the blasted charge to 300 g of TNT equivalent.
A closer prototype of the proposed device is the hydro-hemisphere G-1 developed by the same institute in Novosibirsk (see materials of the exhibition "Combating Terrorism", 1980). It consists of a fabric hydro-hemisphere, a lifting device, a fur for pre-filling the hemisphere with air, a set of hoses and connecting hoses for filling the hydro-hemisphere with water. The main disadvantages of the prototype: the complexity and duration of the assembly, the need for water in the place of blasting, monitoring and maintaining the tightness of the hydro-hemisphere, the complexity of installation in winter conditions.
The objective of the invention is the creation of a simple and reliable design, quickly and easily mounted, ensuring the safety of the explosion of any explosive device at its location.
This problem is solved by creating the design of an explosion-proof device consisting of a frame of two tubular coaxial cylinders, inside of which there is a trap of fragments made in the form of a multilayer package of aramid fibers, and the outer shell is made in the form of star-shaped ribs rigidly connected to the frame of the inner cylinder and movably around the racks of the outer cylinder.
The drawing shows an explosion-proof device.
It consists of two coaxial tubular cylinders. Each cylinder consists of two rings of the upper 1 and lower 2, connected by the uprights 3. Between the cylinders, the canvases of the high-strength fabric 4 TSVM-D are star-shaped, the middle of which is rigidly attached to the uprights of the inner cylinder, and the edges of the adjacent webs are fastened with textile fasteners 5 outside the outer uprights cylinder. In terms of stretched paintings have a star-shaped appearance.
Layers of organic filaments, a trap 6, directly covering the explosive device are stacked inside the small cylinder in the grid. From above, the cylinders are covered with an armored blanket 7 made of multilayer TSVM fabric, which from four angles are attached with anchors to the ground from 3-4 corners using nylon holes 3-4 m long.
An analysis of the state of the art of this direction shows that there are no such structures in the practice of designing explosion-proof devices.
The principle of operation of the device is as follows.
During detonation of an explosive charge in a metal or any other shell, its fragments during expansion move with a speed greater than the velocity of expansion of the detonation products. In the case of collision of fragments with high-strength loose fibers at the first moment, the threads are destroyed, which part of the kinetic energy of the fragments is spent on. Then, as the speed of the fragments decreases and due to the high strength of the filaments, the effect of a volume and, accordingly, a mass “attached” to the fragments arises. As a result, the speed of the fragments decreases to zero on the way to 600 mm or less.
The detonation products, in turn, penetrating between the filaments, are split into separate volumes, a single front of the air wave is destroyed, and due to the same effect of the “attached” volume, the energy of the cutting shock wave decreases. If individual fragments reach the walls of the device, then due to their radial location, the fragments meet the barrier wall at an angle, and not along the normal, which increases its efficiency.
When high-power charges are detonated under the influence of excessive pressure of the detonation products, the shutters of the chamber walls open and gaseous products having a minimum kinetic energy sufficient only to excite the acoustic wave exit the device without destroying it. All fragments by this moment are already detained by organic threads and high-strength walls of the device.
After the destruction of the explosive device, the structure easily breaks and fits into packing cases. The weight of the structure is 15 kg, the weight of the trap is 20-25 kg. Unlike prototypes, the proposed device is simple to manufacture, assemble and disassemble, reusable and low-cost trap, the ability to use the device in any climatic conditions.
The main advantages of the device are the effect of the attached mass, the strength of the threads, the crushing of the shock wave front by the star-shaped arrangement of the canvases, reusability in use, ease of assembly and disassembly and ease of transportation, as well as the use of the design in any climatic conditions.
