Abstract
Description
The invention relates to the drying of biological material without the use of heat through contact with sorbent bodies by mixing sorbent substances, namely, a method based on contact dehydration of biological suspensions when mixed with a solid sorbent.
A known method of drying bulk materials by contacting with a solid bulk adsorbent with stirring, followed by separation of the adsorbent and its regeneration [1] Wheat, fodder and medicinal herbs and other substances can be dehydrated by this method. The ratio of adsorbent to dehydrated material should be 10: 2, with a large particle size of not more than 10 mm. According to the method, the adsorbents are aluminosilicates and active alumina. The disadvantage of this method is that the adsorbents used in it have a low adsorption capacity, since they absorb no more than 20% moisture and, therefore, are not suitable for drying liquid preparations containing 90% moisture. In addition, aluminosilicates and active alumina have low strength characteristics. An integral attribute of the contact dehydration method is the stage of mixing the adsorbent with the dehydrated material. As a rule, this stage is carried out in ball mixers. In this regard, adsorbents with low strength properties are subjected to grinding and, therefore, the process of separating the biological product from the adsorbent is difficult.
Closest to the proposed method according to the technical nature and the achieved result is a method for producing dry lactic acid bacterial preparations [2]
Drying of the biological material according to the invention is carried out in several stages: the accumulation of biomass of lactic acid bacteria, the separation of biomass from the substrate, concentration, partial contact dehydration with adsorbent and drying. As an adsorbent, potato flour or bran is used.
A disadvantage of this method is a multistage during drying, using a spray dryer at final stage which involves conducting the process at about 40 ° C. It is known that the sputtering process itself, especially when it is conducting a high temperature, has an inactivating effect on the thermolabile organisms.
The aim of the invention is to improve the quality of the finished product and speed up the process.
This is achieved by the fact that in the method of drying biological materials by contacting with a solid granular adsorbent with stirring before drying, the biological material is additionally crushed, mixed with a carbohydrate-protein stabilizer with a carbohydrate-protein ratio of 3-2 and with its total content in biological fluid up to 50% by mass, and as an adsorbent using granular ion-exchange resin with a diameter of granules of 160-630 microns, a concentration of hydrogen ion of at least 8.0 units pH, residual humidity less than 1% and a swelling coefficient of at least 4.4, treated with aerosil based on at least 2% by weight of the adsorbent or lactose based on at least 15% by weight of the adsorbent. Thus, prior to mixing all the ingredients quenched to 6 ± 4 ° C, and drying is carried out under temperature conditions not exceeding 20 ° C for 10-12 min.
New in the proposed method is the introduction of additional operations for the preparation of biological material for drying, namely, its grinding and mixing with a carbohydrate-protein stabilizer, which provides preliminary binding of the mobile part of moisture located at the surface of solid biomass particles and in their pores, as well as sorption on surface of solid particles.
The granular ion-exchange resin KB-4P-2 in the N a + form is a cation exchange resin with a high molecular weight three-dimensional gel macro- and microporous structure containing acidic functional groups capable of cationic exchange reactions.
It is intended mainly for purification, extraction, concentration and separation of substances, for analytical purposes and is used as a catalyst in organic synthesis (GOST 20298-74, Ion-exchange resins, cation exchangers).
The use of an ion exchange resin as an sorbent for drying biological materials is also new in the method. Moreover, in the method to achieve this goal, the parameters of the resin granules, their acidity, residual moisture are established and an additional operation for processing granules with aerosil or lactose is introduced, and the conditions for drying are established.
