Abstract

FIELD: garment industry; manufacture of convertible clothing. SUBSTANCE: method involves selecting a double-sided fabric, cutting it into parts of the back and two strips for a waistcoat, parts of the one-piece back with sleeves and one-piece left and right strips with sleeves for the bolero, parts of the skirt and scarf. Then said parts are stitched together into a whole article. The waistcoat and bolero are single-breasted and provided with fixing means. The length of the waistcoat and bolero satisfies the ratio of 1.6:1.8. The length of the waistcoat and skirt obeys the same ratio. The length of the scarf shall be not less than 2.5 lengths of the waist circumference. When assembling the parts into a garment, the edges of both waistcoat breasts shall be of a sinusoidal shape. The length of the sinusoid period shall vary from 12 to 15 cm. The sinusoids of the left and right coat-breasts are of identical length and are made in the mirror image, opposite the tops and recesses. Each top of the right strip is provided with a buttonhole while each top of the left strip has a corresponding button. The fixing means are additionally disposed along the lower edge of the waistcoat and the upper edge of the skirt.
