Abstract
Description
The invention relates to the development of glasses intended for the manufacture of optical parts with low refractive power, transparent in a wide range of wavelengths (250-5000 nm), maintaining high transparency in the visible and infrared spectral regions when exposed to high (up to 10 7 P) doses of ionizing radiation. These glasses can be used for the manufacture of monolithic optical parts and optical fibers.
Known fluoroaluminate glass activated by europium ions of the following composition, mol. [1] MgF 2 12.9-16.6 CaF 2 0.54-8.02 SrF 2 12.9-16.2 BaF 12.0-16.4 YF 3 14.6-18.7 AlF 3 32 7-34.8 EuF 3 0.215-4.55
This glass has a low refractive index (1.431-1.432), high radiation-optical resistance to ionizing radiation up to 10 7 -10 8 rad, transparency in the visible and IR spectral regions.
A disadvantage of fluoroaluminate glasses is their low crystallization stability compared to fluorophosphate glasses, which greatly complicates the technology for producing glass.
Closest to the proposed glass in chemical composition and properties is glass of the following composition, mol. CaF 2 20-28; SrF 2 22-28; AlF 3 30-40; MgO 8-12; Ba (PO 3 ) 2 6-12 [2] This glass has a high transparency in the UV region and a low refractive power.
The disadvantage of this glass is the low radiation-optical stability.
фторидов, следует вводить одновременно ионы Се3+ и Еu3+.The described glass has the following composition, wt. AlF 3 32.00-35.15 YF 3 2.5-11.4 BaF 2 2.5-11.4 CaF 2 13.9-21.7 MgF 2 10.5-12.5 SrF 2 13.9 -21.7 Ba (PO 3 ) 2 1.0-8.0 CeO 2 0.25-1.0 Eu 2 O 3 0.1-0.5
Glass data containing over 92 mol. fluorides are distinguished by the fact that under the action of ionizing radiation, color centers of both electronic and hole nature appear in them. Thus, if an electron acceptor of Eu 3+ is used to increase the DOC of fluoroaluminate glasses, and Ce 3+ is used for phosphate and fluorophosphate acceptors of holes, then to increase the radiation resistance of glasses containing over 92 mol. fluorides, Ce 3+ and Eu 3+ ions should be administered simultaneously.
The glasses were synthesized from industrial reagents of the OSCH brand in the atmosphere of dried argon and oxygen gases in SU-2000 glassy carbon crucibles at t 900-950 о С for 60 min. For cooking, furnaces with carborundum heaters were used. Annealing of glass produced in a muffle furnace at t 410-430 C. The resulting glass samples were obtained up to 350 cm 3 and containing no crystal inclusions and have a high optical quality.
Plates were made from disks, which were polished on both sides with a thickness of 0.1-1 cm. The plates were irradiated at a source of Co 60 with a dose rate of 500 R / s.
Specific glass compositions and their properties are shown in the table.
Thus, the proposed fluorophosphate glass is a radiation-optically stable material that retains transparency in the visible and IR spectral regions after exposure to high up to 10 7 R for ionizing radiation. The increased crystallization stability of the glasses makes it possible to fabricate optical parts from a material having low refractive and dispersion properties. The resulting glass has low values of non-linear refractive index and chromatic aberration. The above properties of the proposed glasses allows us to find optimal solutions to a number of technical problems in the design of optical systems.
