Abstract
Description
The invention relates to electrical engineering, namely to high-voltage fuses.
A high-voltage fuse is known, comprising a fuse in the form of an insulating core, on which conductor fuse elements are wound with a certain step (evenly or in groups), the ends of which are connected in parallel. All fusible elements are wound in one direction (for example, clockwise) so that they never intersect with each other. The distance between parallel fusible elements (groups) is maintained constant over the entire length of the winding.
In operating modes, currents flow evenly across the fuse-link across all parallel elements and cause thermal and electrodynamic effects that do not exceed the calculated allowable values that cause residual changes in the fusible elements. In the short circuit mode, both thermal and electrodynamic influences work on the destruction of fusible elements, which leads to the disconnection of short circuit currents.
When protecting large capacitors in powerful capacitor banks, such fuses do not work satisfactorily. In pulsed modes corresponding to a short capacitor discharge, fuses are subjected not only to electro-thermal, but also to a large electrodynamic effect of currents in adjacent turns of fusible elements. The greatest interturn efforts arise at the extreme turns of the winding, counting from the bandage. These efforts are so great that they can lead to whipping and breaking of these turns and failure of the fuse in the intact capacitor circuit.
The problem to which the invention is directed is to increase the electrodynamic resistance to pulsed effects of high currents by reducing electrodynamic interturn efforts.
The essence of the invention lies in the fact that in a high-voltage fuse with increased electrodynamic resistance to pulsed influences of large working currents, containing a fuse in the form of conductor fuses connected in parallel wound uniformly on an insulating core, the fuse is made of an even number of identical fused elements wound on the core 1 in pairs counter.
The technical result that is achieved by the implementation of the present invention is to reduce the electrodynamic interturn efforts, which, in turn, allows to increase the electrodynamic resistance of fuses to pulsed high currents.
In FIG. 1 shows a high voltage fuse; in FIG. 2 is a schematic diagram of a capacitor bank with external fuses installed in series with each capacitor.
The high-voltage fuse (Fig. 1) contains two
In normal operating conditions, either the charge current of the discharge of the capacitor 4 or the currents corresponding to the voltage ripple on it (when using a capacitor bank in smoothing filters) flows through the fuse element of the fuse 3 (Fig. 2).
In particular, during an emergency breakdown of one of the capacitors 4, all other capacitors of this row of batteries are discharged to the damaged capacitor. In this case, the fuse of a damaged capacitor is subjected to the total effect of all discharge currents of undamaged capacitors and must operate by disconnecting the damaged capacitor from the circuit, and the fuses located in the chains of "healthy" capacitors must withstand the discharge and subsequent charge mode and continue normal operation.
The use of the present invention in a high-voltage fuse allows to reduce the electrodynamic inter-turn forces, which, in turn, leads to an increase in the electrodynamic resistance of the fuses to pulsed effects of high currents.
