Abstract
Description
The invention relates to radio engineering, namely to the technique of antenna measurements, and is intended to study environmental parameters during the operation of underground antenna arrays.
In FIG. Figure 1-3 shows the relationship between the receiving and transmitting antennas in the XOY plane for three measurement steps.
The method for determining the complex dielectric constant of the medium is as follows.
Вклады в сигнал от указанных составляющих токов имеют различную зависимость от параметров грунта εr и σ .When horizontal electric dipoles are located in the soil near or at the soil-air interface, a lateral electromagnetic wave is excited, and the ratio between the components of the emitted fields depends on the orientation of the transmitting dipole, as well as on the soil parameters - relative permittivity ε r and conductivity σ, which determine the complex dielectric constant of the medium is ε r I = ε r - i σ λ 60, where λ is the wavelength in free space. The solution of the inverse problem — the determination of ε r and σ by measuring the amplitude and phase of the field is in principle possible, but it presents great mathematical and computational difficulties, while the uniqueness of the solution obtained is not guaranteed. However, the measurement of the phase of the field at the receiving point relative to the current in the transmitting dipole is not always convenient. Therefore, it is proposed to use not the absolute values of the electromagnetic fields at the receiving point, but their relations for different orientations of the transmitting and receiving dipoles, since the field ratio no longer depends on the distances between the elements and their immersion depths relative to the interface, but depends only on the soil parameters. An analysis of the expressions for electromagnetic fields excited by an electric dipole showed that the sequential orientation of the receiving and transmitting dipoles and measuring only the amplitudes of the received signals allows us to obtain the values of ε r and σ from simple analytical relationships. The orientation of the receiving and transmitting fields at the three stages of measurements is selected on the basis of two factors: firstly, from the point of view of obtaining the simplest unambiguous analytical expressions; secondly, based on the simplification of the practical implementation of this orientation. The latter has the following justification. Many designs of turnstile antennas constructed scheme therefore receive the orientation of the total moment turnstile antenna electrical angle of 45 relative to one of orthogonal dipoles comprising the antenna, or simply by using electrical switching shoulders dipoles or by a conventional power splitter. In addition, the proposed orientation of the receiving and transmitting dipoles at three stages of measurement allows to obtain a signal at the receiver input, determined by the contribution of collinear components, component currents of the receiving and transmitting dipoles and component currents of the orthogonal lines connecting the centers of the receiving and transmitting antennas. The contributions to the signal from the indicated current components have a different dependence on the soil parameters ε r and σ.
The method for determining the complex dielectric constant of the medium involves the excitation of the transmitting antenna and the implementation of the reception of various components of the electromagnetic field in the far zone. To do this, the transmitting antenna and the receiving antenna — electric symmetrical vibrators — are placed in the ground in a horizontal plane.
Pre transmit antenna placed at an angle of 45 ° to the line connecting the centers of the transmitting and receiving antennas. The receiving antenna is oriented at an angle of 90 ° to the line connecting the centers of the transmitting and receiving antennas (see FIG. 2), the test medium is irradiated by the transmitting antenna and measuring the received signal level V. orient the receiving antenna along the line connecting the centers of the transmitting and receiving antennas (see . Figure 1), the test medium is irradiated by the transmitting antenna and measuring the received signal level A. orienting the receiving antenna 45 on a line connecting the transmitting and receiving antennas centers (see. Figure 3) is irradiated with the test medium the transmitting antenna th and measure the level of the received signal C.
ε = ; σ = ,
The value of the dielectric constant ε of the medium and the conductivity of the medium is determined by measuring the amplitude of the received signals A, B and C according to the formulas
ε = ; σ = ,
where λ is the length of the working wave.
The orientation of the receiving and transmitting antennas is carried out electrically, while due to the fact that the antennas at all stages of the changes are oriented horizontally at the interface, their input impedance does not change, which ensures higher measurement accuracy.
